Think about landing off, in a tight area or in the woods, or in a small patch surrounded by power lines, do you think you can sink a canopy smaller than you ever jumped, that flies completely different than the canopies your used to, in and not have problem? I have both, and my choice goes with the Neptune. I use mine as an altimiter, but if I started over from scratch I would have bought one for an audible, they are cheaper than the pro-trac and have more features. That's what i'm saying. AFF instructors/ tandem masters have to jump with students. Just fall on belly, pull when it's time. Nothing fun, no tracking, no freeflying, no flailing, just fall and deploy... oh, and pay attention to students. At first I thought these would be awesome careers, but the more I think about it, the more i'd rather not pursue them. Of course, with the $$ you make, you can go make fun jumps on days off... but it must get old jumping 7 days a week, no? I mean, I don't see it now cuz i'm having a blast, but it has to get tiring. He heard it from me, he asked me to pick up his suit for him, on my way from Deland to his Dz. They said the shipment comes in Wednesday, and will be shipped then. Im waiting for Oct 08 when my suit will arrive, cool thing, my new Vector3 will be there same time, so I can do my first jump on my suit and Rig the same jump, cool rule one case per day. The main issue I have with wearing a camera while jumping a bm suit, is the swing you get on opening. If for some reason, you get a good swing and a line twist things could be nasty. Ive already been it in the face with risers on a tracking dive, it made me think about what if I had my camera on. I talked to Norman Kent about this, he is a big bm fan, but he also gave me a few things to think about. But that is just me, I am not saying it is a bad thing to do, it is just something that scares me. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!

Its normal to be sore, your using muscles your not used to, dont worry it will stop, well until you fly a s3, then you ge all new soreness. The real ? is when are you going to come jump with me, your definitely a natural, look at the pictures, what everyone doesnt know is that is your second birdman jump. When you have to fly your ass off to stay with a newbie in a classic, when you have a s3, your doing great. Maybe you can change your Eloy plans and make some Deland plans. IM scared shitless to wear a still camera while jumping birdman, I wont even wear my camera helmet, because it has a ring site. If I had something totally snag free I wouldn't mind. Valerina did her first bird man jump, she rocked! As well as Dj and a few others, thanks to Phreezone for the help this weekend and the dive. The Dz in Xenia Ohio kicks ass, and the after jumping parties made it real hard to get up at 6:00am the next day for sure. Oh yeah heres some pic's! I cant wait to go back next year. Im off to Xenia Ohio for three days, if anyone wants to do their first birdman jump I will have a little free time to do lessons, and I have a variety of sizes of suits, I'll be pretty busy during the day but morning and evening I should be available for instruction, the suits will be available all day, so come say hi, and maybe make a bm jump. I actually like to see my shadow in 4way shots, especially on the video. Like a ghost in the formation, and it reminds the team that I am actually up there. Also when there is a 5th member in the shot, your right where you need to be, and its a treat to see yourself in the group for a change, even if its a shadow. The Vector 3M and the Odyssey are both well made rigs, and very safe. Everyone here has made good points about what they like about their rigs, I myself prefer Vectors, I have hundreds of jumps on both rigs, I feel the Javelin is very comfortable on the ground, but the Vector (to me) is a lot more comfortable under canopy. Also I like the Relative workshop risers a lot better than the sunpath ones. But that is just my opinion. One thing that Relative offers that sunpath doesnt is the Skyhook, you might want to look into that and see if you want it. As far as packing its preference, I can make a Vector reserve look great easily, and it takes a lot of work for me to make a Javelin reserve look good, but other people prefer Javelins to Vectors, its all what your used to. Apples, oranges. There is also other rigs out there that are good, I looked over an infinity the other day and it looked like a well built rig to me, I havent jumped one so I wont comment, just look at everything good, and make up your own opinion dont buy something over what someone else says.
