    I think, until we have transporter beams, man will have to move things with engines. Be it people, products or food they've got to get from A to B. And human ingenuity will always find a way to keep the engines running. So if the oil does run out I think there will still be cars, ships and planes. diamonds are a dawgs best friend

    i recently bought a used canopy, i tried to get as much info as possible. date of manufacture, serial #, how may jumps on the current lineset, if the seller was the 1st, 2nd, 3rd ect. owner, any repairs or patches, where the canopy has been jumped, any water ladings. diamonds are a dawgs best friend

    ain't that the truth, lots of places it's at or closer to $100. your 1st jump is a once in a lifetime thing so let the pros take care of the video. plus they do more than just the freefall. they do pre-jump, the jump, and post jump. and they'll even set it to your favorite song if you bring a CD. blue skies and have fun!! diamonds are a dawgs best friend

    a couple of years ago i went on a 2 year beer sampling kick tried a different beer every week. i like too many to really have a favorite, but: if i'm at the grocery store i mainly buy something from shiner, saint arnolds, or new belgium. if i'm at the liquor store where they have a wider variety, i mainly go with a left hand, brooklyn, or avery offering. i also like Jager, crown, stoli, & casa nobel diamonds are a dawgs best friend

    zilch, zero, nada it's way too much for me to keep up with. plus some people can get put too much stock into thier status with it, didn't you see that 1 Southpark episode. i don't want to end up like Kip Drordy diamonds are a dawgs best friend

    sorry if this may have been suggested before. idea- a section for jumpers to post to when they're traveling to other DZs and/or just looking for more/different people to jump with. i see this all the time in the base forums. but aside from the occasional boogie roll call i don't see much pre DZ visit jumper meet up on here. diamonds are a dawgs best friend

    did you actually hear directly from SDSM's DZO that they are having thier promo weekend to "take away from the turn out" for the Deadman? unless you have factual proof that this is why SDSM is doing this, then your argument dosen't hold much water. it's labor day weekend for pete's sake. pretty much every auto dealer, clothing and furniture store will be having a promotional weekend. why can't multiple DZs do the same? whereever you decide to spend labor day weekend jumping- be safe and have fun!! diamonds are a dawgs best friend

    congrats on the A. i've been calling SDH home for 5+ years. i know alot of people who jump used gear myself included. the rigger who i got my rig from and who dealt in lots of used stuff has since moved on to a different DZ. but there's still lots of jumpers there who can help you find gear. also i you ever want to do a jump look me up. i freefly in bright orange pants but i've always got my belly suit with me too. diamonds are a dawgs best friend

    on my 1st i didn't have much time to think. my cut away handle got dislodged during some combat RW. so when i deployed i felt a very asymetrical pull on my shoulders and ended up on my back to see my d-bag leaving. with no RSL i had nothing out and was burning altitude fast. all i really remember is my audible screaming (my hard deck is set @ 2K), turning belly to earth, looking at and yanking sliver. i look back on it as a confidence builder and a good learning expereince. diamonds are a dawgs best friend

    i find BASE jumper works much better i think letting them know you're a jumper is actually a courtesy, tells them you're mostly broke and won't be spending much time with them on good weather weekends. diamonds are a dawgs best friend

    i'vw used a mixture of hydrogen peroxide, baking soda and water. to get dried cat urine out of a couch before and off a vinyl car seat another time. i used a black light to be sure i got it all, it glows greenish-yellow. i can't remember the exact ratio for the mixture but i think it can be found online. diamonds are a dawgs best friend

    i'm a contact wearer and i wear my sunglasses inside my full face helmet. for the occasional CRW jump i wear tinted lensed goggles that have foam around the inside edge to seal out the wind. diamonds are a dawgs best friend

    between 200 & 250. i got a 2 piece from Freak n' Suits, cost was base price plus extra for the tribal lizard design i had put on the pants. diamonds are a dawgs best friend

    0:5:0 a couple of ferris wheels and a few 3-way hd flower exits all ended up in a sit going to the low man. got some docks in too. sunday- cooked lunch and watched basketball diamonds are a dawgs best friend

    here's what i did in a similar situation: after getting hardware to repair my left tib and fib in may of 09. i did all the rehab exercises my doc recommended, and followed all his instructions. and i still waited an extra month after he cleared me to return just to be sure. diamonds are a dawgs best friend

    a FF safe container IMO is a higher priority. also ask around the DZ if anyone has a ff suit you could borrow once in awhile. i did alot of my early sit fly jumps in a friend's extra suit. when he needed it for a camera jump, i'd jump in a long sleeve shirt and tuck my jeans leg in my socks. diamonds are a dawgs best friend

    teleporting like they had in that "jumper" movie. that way me and my crew could hit any fixed object we wanted. and i could get into concerts free (they'll make it back from the beers i buy) or pay for seats but get on the floor. diamonds are a dawgs best friend
