Sadam's Sons may have been killed in a raid today.

From what I heard, one Iraqi informant said the sons would be in that house today and that was all she wrote. $30 million is a lot of money. I fully expect him to feed starving children and help rebuild a library or something with it. If it were a Marine or soldier who dropped the dime, that guy would have had to raise a mighty big stink in the media before he'd ever see a penny of it. "Oh, he was one of ours, great, we can keep the money." mike Girls only want boyfriends who have great skills--You know, like nunchuk skills, bow-hunting skills, computer-hacking skills. -

Ummm, so when I go into a dynamic stall and that pilot chute starts flying in front of the nose, I am not going backwards to the relative wind? Actually, yes, you can go backwards on toggles. I find it easier to go backwards on rears, but toggles can work to get there too, just before it bowties and the endcells kiss. After that, you've got a round above your head and you're coming pretty much straight down to the relative wind. (On most canopies, especially if your arms are short, you might need to take a wrap of brake line in addition to the toggle, since the dynamic stall point on most canopies--especially big student rigs is beyond arm stretch.) On rears, unless your canopy is airlocked, the top skin will fall down onto the bottom skin the further into the stall you get. That's about the same time the pilot chute and dbag will start working their way onto the top of the canopy. A little more pressure on the rears and the pc should disappear on top of the canopy and eventually work it's way to the front of the canopy. You'll be flying backwards and you can maintain that for quite some time. At a point shortly thereafter with a slight bit more pressure, the canopy will drop behind you. IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT YOU RELEASE THE RISERS (OR THE TOGGLES ESPECIALLY IN A DYNAMIC STALL) SLOWLY AND EVENLY!!!!! DO NOT GET SCARED AND RELEASE THEM QUICKLY OR UNEVENLY!!!! BAD JUJU! You'll spin (most likely spin up). I completely agree that one should talk to a canopy coach, preferably in a canopy control course to learn more about not only stalls, but canopy flight in general. It could be the information that saves your life.

UN seeking to regulate small arms sales in the US

I am certainly no christian, but I do like my guns. Y'all never heard of cock blocking over there? Sheeesh! Frankly, if you have a problem with him, why not talk to him about it? Maybe suggest that he be a little more upfront with these girls to begin with, so he can avoid burning every bridge he crosses. If all he's looking for is a fun time for a few weeks, I think he can express that to each of his targets. I doubt he's gonna get less play that way. That or just kick his ass. mike Girls only want boyfriends who have great skills--You know, like nunchuk skills, bow-hunting skills, computer-hacking skills.

UN seeking to regulate small arms sales in the US
mnischalke replied to PhillyKev's topic in The Bonfire
The UN is a joke! They want to rule the world with this new world order neo-utopia crap that will NEVER fucking work. People are humans after all. Peace and harmony will never exist completely in humanity. We are flawed, folks. Tell me there's never been a time you wished someone harm. It's just human nature. The sooner some people realize that, the sooner we can work to at least better ourselves rather than spending countless billions on stupid projects just to disarm and unify the world. If you want to be sick, just do a little research on how the UN handled Rwanda. Find and watch "The Last Just Man." Fucking sickening shit. That's certainly just one of the long list of failures the UN has tried to interject itself into halfheartedly at the great expense of only a handful of countries. Somalia was another. I know first hand how mishandled operations in that little piece of shit country were. After they made us look like shit (yet again) until we joined in their little reindeer games soiree, they turned around and tied our hands very tightly. Again, the UN sucks ass. I, as one voting American, want out. mike Girls only want boyfriends who have great skills--You know, like nunchuk skills, bow-hunting skills, computer-hacking skills. -
The updated website rocks! I do wonder why there's no reference to the Lotus2... I own one and put lines on two others, so I know they exist. I also know it surpasses the original Lotus many, many times over. Still no reference to it? hmmmm. Brian did a lot of work on BASE canopies when he and PD made their license agreement. (BASE is the acronym for Big Air Sportz Equipment.) Brian and I talked about it months ago and now, according to the site, there will be a BASE BASE canopy in the future. Yay! Those damn airlocks will take over your soul, I tell ya. I got a Lotus2, a Sam, a kite and it looks like I will need one of dem dare BASE canopies too! mike Girls only want boyfriends who have great skills--You know, like nunchuk skills, bow-hunting skills, computer-hacking skills.

Ditto. The UN has had plans for disarming this country since the mid sixties. It's all about the new world order. I like coffee in the morning, but I don't like it ruling my day. Get the US out of the UN! mike Girls only want boyfriends who have great skills--You know, like nunchuk skills, bow-hunting skills, computer-hacking skills. -

So, am I supposed to glean from your post that you are an attorney? I won't be as vague about my qualifications to talk on these matters. I have been making my living taking (or a good portion of it) taking pictures for 10 years. I have been everything from a stringer for local daily rags to a staffer on two top-25 US-circ magazines. You are pretty much correct about the "work for hire" copyright assignment. But (big but) the photographer must sign a "work for hire" contract. Simple employment is not that. Hiring someone to video or photograph something for you does not give you the copyright. "Work for Hire" contracts exist for this specific reason. As the author of the work, he owns the copyright until he signs that away. Further, if the person in the video has signed a model release, he may use that video or images from that video in any way he so desires, provided the proper wording of the release. If he chooses not to post it, I commend him on his ethics. Now if he called her and told her about this site, she might be compelled to post it on her own. mike Girls only want boyfriends who have great skills--You know, like nunchuk skills, bow-hunting skills, computer-hacking skills. -

100% correct. "Work for hire" is the only way the contracting person owns the material and rights to said material. Otherwise, it is the property of the person who took the image(s). Funny thing, when I worked as a both a freelance and as a staff photographer, I was getting paid and using company film, but the images on film were mine, hence the film was mine. When I left, I took it all with me. mike Girls only want boyfriends who have great skills--You know, like nunchuk skills, bow-hunting skills, computer-hacking skills. -

Sexual harassment? Nay, my good man. Ya got your law catch phrases all up mixed. Unless they work together and she has told him to not do (fill in the blank with your sex-related issue) but he did it anyway, that is sexual harassment. Posting a pic of someone partially clothed in a public forum sets one up for liabilities associated with gain or profit. Now, if you have a model release......Post that video!!! mike Girls only want boyfriends who have great skills--You know, like nunchuk skills, bow-hunting skills, computer-hacking skills. -
Phone books will in no way replicate soft tissue. If you want to look at expansion and the like, you need ballistic gelatin. You can also pick up Evan Marshalls' Stopping Power for some "light" reading. Personally, I like Corbon, BeeSafe or MagSafe for PD. mike Girls only want boyfriends who have great skills--You know, like nunchuk skills, bow-hunting skills, computer-hacking skills.

Wow! What did that puppy set you back? If you like a smith, but want a better gun at a much higher price tag, that's certainly one to get. Personally, I'd prefer a Freedom Arms, since you get more bang for the buck--literally. I also like my old Dan Wesson's interchangeable barrel system, for that style of gun. mike Girls only want boyfriends who have great skills--You know, like nunchuk skills, bow-hunting skills, computer-hacking skills.
