I'm right there with you learning this... I guess that's what I get for being drug free... I don't do any of that stuff either, but cultural awareness can be a good thing. Walt mmm hmmm, sure you don't.

dozy git? Is that a compliment lilDevil?

The things I learn on dz.com.

Thus the beauty of BOB. He's always a sure thing, but doesn't count as cheating. Or so I've been told. Right, Squeak?
-
Personally, I've found that sex really seems to alleviate a headache. You might need to explore that option......stay home with BOB!

We have a winner.......

Congrats J. And condolences. I can imagine the mixture of emotions you must be going through! Oh god, I have 9 months to go til I'm in the same boat.....

I haven't gotten my parachutist yet... Well, obviously, they like me better.
-
You read People?!!!!! Walt Heck yeah! Just like I read the bonfire. Gives me a few laughs and I can be grateful to not be going through other people's drama.
-
I still think it's possible to date a non-skydiver who won't be threatened by the fact that she skydives, even though he may never want to himself. But I could just be fantasizing.
-
I got my Parachutist today. Along with my People. I know I'm a goner, 'cause I chose the Parachutist before the People.
-
It's been a great week friendship-wise. I got my A on Sunday and had my skydiver friends with me. And tomorrow my whuffo friends and I are going out to celebrate my A license and a couple of birthdays. I have great friends. Tomorrow will be fun......

I don't know if the solution for you is to date a skydiver or to find a man who is passionate about something in life and is secure enough to enjoy watching your passion for something as well. Ideally, your passion for your sport should get him excited. It's what makes you, you. And no one who cares about you should want to take that away.

Woo Hoo Happy Birthday to You!!!!

Just goes to show you....its not the size of the stick, its how you use it. Well, you have to understand, she thought it was 8 inches.

AAAck!!! I'm as up in the air as ever. Everyone's got differing opinions on all of the issues. I have a problem seeing my analog alti--I need bigger digits to look at. But on my first jump on a digital it went blank under canopy. I've been told cold weather will affect it. I've been told it was a dead battery. In just 25 skydives, I've had both types of altis give me erroneous readings. Yes, I know I'm supposed to rely on my eyes. But while in the process of acquiring that skill set, I'd like to have a learning aid. I can easily read the Neptune, and prefer the display, but damn, my FIRST jump it didn't work!! I'm thinking I'll just have to start jumping with both. The way my luck's gone, maybe it's better.

Hey, it's not fair to tease!!
-
Now THAT'S dedication....must have taken awhile. Oh, and Happy Birthday, Sunny. For tomorrow.
-
You're funny, considering you've started about 5,000 new threads yourself in the past couple of days. Besides, work is waaaay overrated. It's just the inconvenient thing we have to do in order to afford more jumps.

I didn't care for the Fidel Castro guy, but I was in the minority there. I loved the backup singer woman. How cool for her! The last girl was a riot, especially when she kept singing, "Mocha latte". Made me want to go to Starbucks!
-
Yeah, the adopted guy was good. He had the looks as well. As did the girl who skipped school. I'm curious as to what her dad had to say in private. What about that dramatic girl? She looked like she was acting on a soap opera when she was pleading with them to keep her. I still think Paula is one of the most interesting things to watch. She's definately more 'altered' at some times than others. And she definately spends a lot of time taking loong sips out of her Coke glass when the others are talking.
-
I'm thinking you're confusing Ian Benando with another contestant. He was the strange, skinny guy with the exaggerated Long Island accent. He had tried out for "So You Think You Can Dance" as well. He was a piece of work, but definately no singer.

That's my first choice always for watching tv. But tonight I did watch it live, and discovered the benefit that my daughter actually turns down the volume and talks to me during commercials. I may have to re-think the whole Tivo thing.......
