Well, I'm glad I had a few moments to sign on and see this thread!! I recently had a baby (three weeks ago) and desperately need to lose weight. I gained a horrible 60 or so pounds. I dared to weigh in about 5 minutes ago and YEAH!!!-- 30 pounds lighter than my last pregnancy weigh in!!! I really need to lose 30 solid pounds -- would love to lose 50 but I haven't been a size 4 for many years!! Anywho, 30 pounds would be great. The troublesome thing for me is that I had a cesarian delivery and cannot start the good workouts for another three or so weeks -- especially considering my incision has hurt like hell all along. Also, I am such a picky eater -- NO eggs, veggies (except for lettuce, cucumbers, and the occasional broccoli), or meat (only chicken breast and even that gets old really quick). I love carbs -- breads, pasta, sweets, etc. For me the only solution would be a well balanced routine of the few foods I eat along with good excercise. I will continue to check in for motivation and hope to post a good weight loss soon!!! Good luck to everyone!!

My husband and I went to see it a week ago. I am by no means into superhero stories or movies, but I had gone to see the first two and wanted to watch the last one. In any event, I though that the special effects were pretty cool but the story line was just plain silly. Overall, good time waster.

People seem to define ugly in different ways. To me "ugly" would mean that her appearance is repulsive, revolting, or disgusting. Others may define it as anything less than classically beautiful or "normal" as it is defined for a given creature. Personality notwithstanding, I define her as funny looking, different, or unusual, but definitely not ugly. I agree with you! Your dog is very funny looking in a way that warms my heart. I want to hold her a give her kisses. She is adorable and has a very sweet looking face!!!! Congrats to you and your wife! Well, my husband got this email from his mom today. I thought it was funny and don't remember seeing it posted here before. ________________________________ Subject: A touching Mothers' Day Tribute * So, we had this 10 year old cat named Jack who just recently died. Jack was a great cat and the kids would carry him around and sit on him and nothing ever bothered him. He used to hang out and nap all day long on this mat in our bathroom. Well we have 3 kids and at the time of this story they were 4 years old, 3 years old and 1 year old. The middle one is Eli. Eli really loves chapstick. LOVES it. He kept asking to use my chapstick and then losing it. So finally one day I showed him where in the bathroom I keep my chapstick and how he could use it whenever he wanted to but he needed to put it right back in the drawer when he was done. Last year on Mother's Day, we were having the typical rush around and try to get ready for Church with everyone crying and carrying on. My two boys are fighting over the toy in the cereal box. I am trying to nurse my little one at the same time I am putting on my make-up. Everything is a mess and everyone has long forgotten that this is a wonderful day to honor me and the amazing job that is motherhood. We finally have the older one and the baby loaded in the car and I am looking for Eli. I have searched everywhere and I finally round the corner to go into the bathroom. And there was Eli. He was applying my chapstick very carefully to Jack's . . rear end. Eli looked right into my eyes and said "chapped." Now if you have a cat, you know that he is right--their little butts do look pretty chapped. And, frankly, Jack didn't seem to mind. And the only question to really ask at that point was whether it was the FIRST time Eli had done that to the cat's behind or the hundredth. And THAT is my favorite Mother's Day moment ever because it reminds us that no matter how hard we try to civilize these glorious little creatures, there will always be that day when you realize they've been using your chapstick on the cat's butt. I saw "Bird on a Wire" with my mom when it first came out at the theaters. It was our "girls day out" and a very fun day!!! She very much admired good old Mel!!

I so totally agree!!! I LOVE Goldie!! She's always been naturally funny and quite beautiful. My absolute favorite with her is still "Private Benjamin."
