    Karaoke.....

So my hubby and I made it out to our "once a month outing" (we have a three month old) and went to the local bowling alley bar. They had karaoke night....... The karaoke DJ was awesome.... I'm telling you I got a "crush" (non-sexual) on her that's how good she was. Well, I want to sing soooo bad but did not have the "cojones" to do so... Are you guys good at it or have you done it before? Please share.... P.S. By the way, she sang "Me and Bobby McGee by Janis Joplin --- awesome rendition".
  2. Thanks so much. Em is a cutie and believe me, sometimes I wonder how we did it!!! Here's a pic from earlier today with her new dreamy daddy shirt.
  3. Mu husband and I bought a Mazda 3 (4 door sedan)in March. It looks look, not bad on fuel, and the price was definitely right. At that time I was driving a stick shift (eclipse) but we gave it up because I was pregnant and needed to be able to have both hands on the wheel and a four door car. The hatchbacks are really nice looking, though. Congrats!!!
  4. Happy birthday JD!! I will try my best to make GNT's birthday special. He is having steak and well........Anyway, as to a cake, I think I'll buy one.......... Character cannot be made except by a steady, long continued process. -- Phillips Brooks

  6. My dog Gracie had her first pancreatitis attack about 5 years ago. I had made pork chops and thrown the bones in the garbage and went out. When I got back home, the garbage was all over the place and the bones were missing. Of course, this was dangerous in and of itself but little did I know that the next day my baby almost died. I got home from work and she was a mess. She was throwing up, had diarrhea, and was just generally sick. I panicked and because it was after hours I took her to the ER vet hospital. She spent the night there and the next week at her vet's clinic with IV and almost died. Thousands of dollars later, the vet told me that I COULD NOT feed her human food. I never did anyway, other than bread, before the incident with the pork chop bones. It is very very dangerous. I recently had to take her in to the vet's again, and I confessed that when she was very good I gave her "unsalted saltines" and every once in a while I would give her a small piece of cheese to which he replied "you are playing with her life." Well, absolutely no more human food for her. She eats "WD" and she does well with that. Now she even eats pumpkin for her constipation problems!!
  7. So honey, this weekend, your "not so dumb self" can sweep, mop, give Em a bath, oh, and have your first real Spanish lesson!! Good thing I'm tired tonight but tomorrow I'm adding to the list! Character cannot be made except by a steady, long continued process. -- Phillips Brooks

  11. The first one can say a lot about a person. There were some pretty interesting responses. One of the members of the jury pool said she had a "Get out of Iraq" sticker and another still had a "George Bush" sticker!! And, being in Naples, quite a few had their beach pass stickers! In any event, did you see the attached pic? Character cannot be made except by a steady, long continued process. -- Phillips Brooks

  16. personality. So I was in trial last week and during jury selection (voire dire), opposing counsel posed four questions to the jury. The answers they gave actually gave me a tremendous insight into who they are and how they would ultimately find. I was pretty impressed, so I thought I would ask you the following: 1. Do you have bumper stickers (or just stickers) on your car? 2. Would your family and/or friends say you're a listener or a talker? 3. Are you a stick to your guns type of person or do you compromise? 4. What publications do you regularly read? NOTE: There are no right or wrong answers, of course! As for me, 1. No 2. Listener (I think ) 3. Both depending on the situation 4. Legal stuff (no time for anything else) So tell us about yourself....
  17. Here are mine and my husband's feet. I have never really liked my feet -- they are very wide and my toes are stumpy. During my pregnancy my feet became huge, so now that I have had the baby and my feet are back to normal, I am very grateful they look the way they do!!! Plus, I'm just happy to have feet!!
