    How about someone that got their instructor rating at the old jump requirement, and then did a couple hundred hop-n-pops after dropping S/L students? does that make them qualified even though they have little freefall time? Now he can get a tandem rating and do several hundred tandems to get the freefall time up? He could have the jumps and time in sport but not the actual flying experience.     If you're jumping a camera with a Sabre 1 you need to go lightweight. The FF2 from 2K Composites is light and smooth. My friend ordered one with the cutaway chin cup I think he said it was $450. My Velocity from Skydance Headgear was $350 but it is a lot heavier. If money is an issue you should check the classifieds for used helmets and ebay for cameras, but the helmet and camera have to be compatable. There is a big difference between the PC and HC series cameras as far as mounts go. "If it wasn't easy stupid people couldn't do it", Duane.     I love my 2 piece set up from Tony suits. I have a "C" wing camera jacket, a big way top with swoop cords, freefly pants, and RW pants with booties. I can wear whatever combo I need for the jump I'm on. I usually use the camera jacket with the freefly pants but if I'm with a faster group I wear the RW pants instead. Tony doesn't list RW pants on the website last I checked, you have to tell them what you want and he'll make it. I started with the regular freefly pants and added 1 1/2" leg grips and vented megabooties to make RW pantts. He also said to draw pictures if you want something real different. A one piece camera suit and a one piece RW suit would probably be cheaper than my seperate pieces because of the material I chose. Booties are great for RW jumps but not real neccessary for video only jumps where you are stationary most of the time. "If it wasn't easy stupid people couldn't do it", Duane.     Beezy says the Nitro has spanwise reinforcing tapes, the Nitron does not. The stabilizers are also different but I don't have the demo Nitro yet to compare them. He said everything elsee is exactly the same, except this year the material will be the silicon based ZP material, because the good stuff (not slippery) is no longer available. I'm jumping a 170 Nitron right now and am looking to demo the Nitro 150 next week if it quits snowing "If it wasn't easy stupid people couldn't do it", Duane.     I jump at Skydive Fort Wayne during the week and special weekend events, Indiana Skydiving Academy on weekends, and Skydive Wayne County on Labor day. The cost depends on how you want to get certified. Fort Wayne only has IAD and Tandem but are cheap and have the best view. ISA does it all, S/L,Tandem,AFF, I heard Richmond has the porter running again. They're all nice. "If it wasn't easy stupid people couldn't do it", Duane.     I tie mine into a large knot inside my sleeve when I'm not using them. On my swoopsuit I wear them right hand under my glove, left side over my glove and Alti.. My bigway jacket doesn't have continuous swoop cords so I have to wear both on top. I also wear the cords around my hands like toggles, and I put some stitches in the loop so they stay tight on my hand. "If it wasn't easy stupid people couldn't do it", Duane.     The rig rack picture has a nice looking Racer, I'm also a big fan of the racks I made . The Vector is mine but I bought it very used, my new rig won't be done until July maybe depending on how long UPT takes. "If it wasn't easy stupid people couldn't do it", Duane.     My riggers charge $10 to replace the velcro every year on my old Vector. I only have problems with the riser covers in headdown position if I maintain the postion for a length of time. The student gear I learned on was a falcon 300, .75 wingload at the time, it was fine even though some of them had several thousand jumps on them. I could tell the difference between the oldest and newest though. I have 3 jumps on my Raven 1 reserve(1.3 WL) and it was fine, but it only has 5 jumps total on it now. F-111 is fine as long as you stay under 1:1 WL. "Beater" rigs are great for new people that don't know for sure what they want yet. "If it wasn't easy stupid people couldn't do it", Duane.     That's what Chris Martin was doing. He had a brakefire that spun him unconcious, no cutaway of the handkerchief(25 sq.ft. Xaos). I would want a back up plan for cases like that.     I like the idea of using a tandem cypress cutter for a Racer to cut the 3 rings on the small canopy, then your real cypress can save your body. Maybe you could get the tandem cypress custom made with an even higher firing altitude like 4,000'. "If it wasn't easy stupid people couldn't do it", Duane.
