  1. I don't believe I've commented on Wendy Davis. How do you know so much about my opinion of her stunt? - Dan G
  2. This is Speaker's Corner. No mutually beneficial/healthy reationships will be tolerated. - Dan G
  3. Sort of. Some of them are for everybody, regardless of nationality or immigration status. - Dan G
  4. Cruz is making an ass of himself. It's just BS grandstanding for the right wingers back home and in the 2016 primary voting booth. This stunt will backfire on him in the long run. - Dan G
  5. Yes, Virginia is a real bastion of liberal thinking. BTW, you'll be happy to know that a marriage certificate is an accepted secondary form of ID. They do, however, note that same-sex certificates will not be accepted. Of course, this makes absolutely no sense if all they're trying to do is determine identity. Yep, Virginia is really liberal. - Dan G
  6. Okay, I did. Birth certificate not required. It is one form of primary ID that will be accepted, but it is most certainly not required. An unexpired (or expired for less that 1 year) driver's license from another state is also accepted as a primary ID. Next. - Dan G
  7. Here, I'll settle this once and for all: Did Obama ever have a driver's license? No he didn't. Ah, so you admit he produced one. If by "reasonable examiners" you mean "completely unreasonable examiners", then sure. She can't use her previous license from another state? How did she get her original license? Did she ever have a license before? If so, your original statement above is false. No, he didn't. At least you're honest. Will you do the same when Sen. Cruz is running for President? - Dan G
  8. No more than the spread of Hebrew or Catholic law. Perhaps you are not aware that Naibobi is not in the United States. Who's making excuses? Examples, please? Why would there be? People like you wouldn't listen to them anyway. - Dan G
  9. Just because you repeat that sentence over and over, and it includes a fancy word for the Old Testament, doesn't make it true. It's not all the begatting that people have a problem with. It's the bronze age morality that many people still think is the divine word of God, and use as justification for being horrible to each other. Al religion is bullshit. To call out the Koran as being particularly bad while making excuses for the terrible things in other traditions is dishonest. The Bible as we currently know it was also cherry picked heavily. The winners write history, regardless of which brand of God they worship. - Dan G
  10. As opposed to the Old Testament (or whatever you want to call it), which is just full of puppies and rainbows. Okay, it had one rainbow, but you know what I mean. - Dan G
  11. According to rickjump1, they are all like that. You better keep an eye on your friend. - Dan G
  12. I almost certainly would have voted for McCain had he not picked Palin. I think my mother would have, as well. Palin lost McCain votes. - Dan G
  13. If that's true, you shouldn't have any trouble fixing the government. - Dan G
  14. It almost sounds like you're arguing for a centrally planned economy, comrade. And to respond to the obvious counter-point that alternative energy is only viable right now because of government subsidies: that's true. But traditional energy also receives government subsidies, and has for decades. - Dan G
  15. From what I heard, he didn't say those things to a doctor. He said them to the cops, who properly reported it to the Navy security office. When he went to the clinic, he was complaining about insomnia. They asked about his mental state, and he denied any mental problems. - Dan G
  16. That just describes how their rates may vary between customers. It doesn't say that there is a cap on the rates themselves. - Dan G
  17. Especially since I'm pretty sure it rotates around me. - Dan G
  18. I believe, and I'm not the only one, that it was Cheney and his staff, at Cheney's direction. Can I prove it? Not really. There is evidence that Cheney started pushing for an invasion into Iraq before the steel at the Twin Towers was cold. I don't believe there is a smoking gun memo out there from Cheney saying to manipulate the data, but former staffers have said that the push for war with Iraq was constant and strong from the VPs office. I doubt the whole truth will come out until well after he's dead. - Dan G
  19. Ordering analysts to ignore or downplay contrary evidence, and exaggerate the provenance of beneficial evidence is manipulation. If you got the impression that I though he made up raw intel, then I apologize. The manipulation came in how the evidence was turned into a case for war. - Dan G
  20. It was faulty in part because of how it was collected. The overall picture was faulty because contrary evidence was downplayed. That was part of the problem. A key piece of intel from the British was used to corroborate info that the Americans had. The problem was the it was from the same original source. But since that info supported the case for war, the problems with its authenticity were not made clear in the final report. - Dan G
