    NFL question

Interesting. Of course, now it would be considered unpatriotic to suggest they stop singing it. - Dan G
  2. In America we want both, which is why the Internet is the perfect invention. Non-stop crap talking, and unlimited boobies. - Dan G

    NFL question

I've never understood why they play the anthem before sporting events anyway. It always seems pretty Third Reich to me. Not everything is a political event. - Dan G
  4. What limitations on the right to abortion do you think are proper? - Dan G
  5. Obviously, although I suspect some of that is your not wanting to see it. I also suspect that the levels you think the "alarmists" speak of are much higher than the ones they actually speak of. - Dan G
  6. Sure they have existed, and as Don pointed out, some of those extremes were very bad. BTW, no one is saying we are going to get to that level anytime soon. More importantly, just because there are other, non-man-made factors that affect the climate, it doesn't follow that new, man-made drivers are not important. - Dan G
  7. Who said anything about measuring temperatures across the age of the planet? - Dan G
  8. I'm sure you'll remember Rick advising us about the foreigner arrested for flying his private plane over a nuclear plant. Oh wait, that guy wasn't a Muslim. - Dan G
  9. Don't see it. Example? Agree with you there. I'm assuming you mean because of regulations regarding health insurance and environmental issues. I suppose you could look at it as an erosion of freedom, but I was specifically asking about Constitutional freedoms. If you were talking about Republicans, then yes, I agree. Don't see that for the Dems. Both parties are guilty of that. - Dan G
  10. Are you really saying that North and South Korea are politically similar, or am I misunderstanding you? - Dan G
  11. Which freedoms are the Democrats trying to take away? - Dan G
  12. There's no such thing as Obamacare insurance. The article makes no sense. - Dan G
  13. It was not illegal to talk about being gay in the US. - Dan G
  14. Read: Climate science that supports my politics and investment strategy. - Dan G
  15. I'm sorry. I don't understand your question. Can you please rephrase it? - Dan G
  16. No, nor do I consider it any business of the government. - Dan G
  17. That phrase makes to sense in this context. There are many, many, heterosexual unions which don't produce offspring (older people, infertile people, people who've had vasectomies or tubal ligations, people who just don't want kids). If the moral superiority of heterosexual union comes from making babies, why isn't it illegal in Russia to discuss those kinds of unions? - Dan G
  18. My heterosexual marriage has produced no offspring, nor can it. So same-sex relationships are equivalent to my relationship. Should I not be allowed to talk about my marriage in front of children? - Dan G
  19. Um yeah, your translations basically says what the poster above claimed: Although, to be fair, it is not a crime to promote their equality as people, just the equality of their lifestyle. Also, just talking about how being gay is not so bad would be covered under: Saying that it only counts when children are in the room is bullshit and everyone knows it. - Dan G
  20. Did Clinton actually say that, or was Limbaugh going off on a wild, ludicrous tangent? - Dan G
  21. That's all fine and good, until people decide that yelow-flower-lapellers don't have the same rights as red-flower-lapelers. - Dan G
  22. I think I've lost the bead on your analogy. Who is selling the snake oil, and what is that snake oil? Who is requiring people to buy a particular brand of hand sanitizer? No one who believes in climate change is saying that the only way to stop it is to buy a specific product, or advance a specific technology. The argument that people who acknowledge climate change make is that reducing CO2 emissions (by whatever means you want) will improve the result. You don't have to buy a Tesla, or a GE LED bulb, or a Maytag dryer. We're not going to invest only in wind, or solar, or geothermal. I know there is a perception that that is the case, but that perception is only being advanced by (wait for it...) denier fearmongers. - Dan G
  23. Do you know what provisions were not met? - Dan G
  24. The fearmongering is claiming that any attempt to address climate change (or even acknowledge it) is just a LIBERAL attempt at CONTROL over your private life, and will RUIN the ECONOMY!!!! - Dan G
