hell yeah they have skiing + shooting why not paintball and skydives. Ill play, shit, anyone set me up with a rig and enough knowledge not to kill myself, ill do it :) just not a fully fledged skydiver yet - am at heart (ballcox). Ive done two jumps so yeah. Hey could you imagine the mess on the canopies, well if you get bored with the colours...

Yeah i think i might of seen those, like the speed downhill skiing helmets that sort of mold into the neck and back? The first person to break the sound barrier in a new record from today onwards gets a case of beer of their choice (just not fuckin light beer, i don't do light beer okay, makin me feel ill and disgusted just thinkin about it) and that offer stands from now till i die, infact make it two. BTW this is the rare occasion when im actually serious so send in the proof, ill be arround somewhere and you have my word ill buy two crates. Hows that?

Hey wats up, just interested in alittle non skydiving relationship shit type advice. Well in college met a girl who was very very nice :) Anyway we became like bestfriends as we where all in the same circle of friends. She was worried at one point that i had more than the goodfriends feeling and it kinda scared me into lying and saying that no i didn't like her that way yada yada yada because i did't want that strain on the friendship. Two and a bit years later she comes home from uni for a weekend and after a fun drunk night of bowling and runnig from a £60 bill at a local outlet of a big american food chain where they where big stupid hats (im not gonna say the name now am i ) - no way was we payin for that it was nice but not 60 pounds nice- and getting high with our other partner in crime i gave her a lift home. So we get drinking again and finally it happened (quick work hey) :) So nows the slightly complicated bit she has a boyfriend and even though their having problems she wants to give it a go. But this weekend im going to see another mate and guess wholl be there. I know drink and drugs will be involved so im thinking (well wishing) that itll happen again. Its fun at the moment (it might not even happen again) but if it does then im the extra man in the affair :) And i know her well (now even better than i did before) so im in no rush to get together in a relationship way but i do want to be with her just not togehter together in each others pockets way, but i do really want to be with her, i don't know. We know live at oppossite ends of the country, she has a boyfriend (fuck knows if thatll last, i don't think it will, maybe it will, dunno) and in a year or less im going to be going to the states for three months plus to do aff, curency jumps and practice. So im jus playin it cool and seeing whats happening, she knows how much skydiving means to me and is supportive as hell and is pretty damn special. What dya think? ahhhh my brain hurts.

That is scary stuff so don't feel down about doubts, fears normal it can help it can hinder but you would be a fool to be without it totally. Just get back in the saddle and ride it, atleast you've got a lesson that i don't think youll forget from life university. Good luck man, hope you get jumping again soon. Just think extra work or jumping? extra work or JUMPING i know which i would choose.

This is a true story, not urban legend. Not quite as impressive but still... How do you make your lovely rolls fly down a motor way? Well this one dude got a merlin engine (spitfire) extended the bonnet and hey presto a very fast car. The best part is that it was road legal but the guy had problems with braking and slowing down and couldn't get the thing to stay below the speed limit so it got chucked. Would love to find that car in an auction.

don't wanna do a clinton but whats the highest obtainable speed from anywhere between 14k and 35k you can get in a freefly headdown. Ive heard of 300 but i can't remember if it was kph or mph. I do remember reading about crazy speeds when kittinger jumped from 102'800 feet but he was belly down and had a steadying pilot chute (begins with dro.... drouge?). rooftops and sunsets

Yeah ya right, usually firsttime or one off jumpers tend to get sponsored by friends, family etc then as long as its over a certain amount they get a tandem or SL jump for free. Its usually a win win situation :(

Condolences to everyone effected, shit this is the second in the uk that i know of this year. The other was a student at topcliffe (merlin) or was it peterleigh, anyway first or second jump went in. But thats the last i heard.... again my condolences.

Tell him to chew the bark off your hairy log, shit if divers couldn't help newbies there would be no proggression it helps both the more experienced person giving the advice as it does to the newbies. Sounds like hes money hungry bitchass trick (no offence to the guy :) and as a newbie i know how expensive its to get started and that im grateful to more experienced skydivers helping me and for there advice. Pass on the knowledge. Also don't you find it a bit shitty that in your opinion this guy is not even that good but would then be the only practical source of advice for students- does he want all the jumpers at the DZ to stick to there own and not talk (advice).
