In July I will have finished my teacher's course and I'll be a certified high school History teacher. During my teaching practice this year I found out that teaching would actually not be my dream job. It's okay, but I wouldn't want to do it for the rest of my life. Of course that's a personal thing. After you've followed the course you can still decide wether you want to be a teacher or not. (I'm glad I'm already a Master in History, so I can rely on that diploma to search for other jobs first.) I have been babysitting a boy from the same age one day a week for a whole year long. He had the same thing going on and when he stopped eating solid food, I was worried as well. But after (trying to remember here) a month or 4 he was past this stage. So yeah, I'm quite sure too it's just a phase, apperently typical for this age. Try not to worry too much

Here in Belgium Calvin is called "Casper", like my brother I absolutely adore this comic, everything about it is great ! I like them better in English, because the jokes or the underlying meanings are often translated wrong in Dutch. So when I buy one of the albums, I always get them in English. A couple I know that got married last year, even put them in their wedding booklet !

I totally agree with Missy ! I'm also female and have only done one tandem so far (second coming up). My TM didn't even explain in detail what he was going to do, he just said "I'm going to check your gear". When he adjusted the chest strap, he only touched the strap, not my breasts. I was completely comfortable with it, because I knew he was doing what he had to do for my safety. So to all TM's: it's your general attitude towards your student that's essential ... it's the same thing that makes the student trust you to jump out of a plane with you. And from what I read here, I think you're all doing a great job, so don't worry about it too much
