  1. She taught me all I know about that bonus lane!!! I even used it this morning! Heck, who am I kidding? I use it every morning! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  2. They didn't give me any sea salt..they said it would dry out my nipples. My friend that has hers done said neosporin is the key. I've had a couple of piercings done, and most piercers don't recommend neosporin. I don't remember why, but if you do a quick search on Google or something, you'll find out, I'm sure. 3. When I first started out and had no money to really support skydiving, I did all sorts of crazy things to get myself jumping. To get off of student status: credit cards. I don't recommend more than one, though...it was probably a bad idea. But, at school, it was so hard not to sign up for them Just off student status, summer: two jobs, sold plasma, started eating Ramen Just off student status, fall: the club started paying for some jumps (thanks Bananna), learned the art of getting drinks for free (too keep up that social life thing you were talking about), stopped going to Wal-Mart as much Last year, I had an awesome internship (and currently my full-time employer) that gave me enough money to buy my gear and pay for more jumps. This past year...we all know and love my grams! As for your second question about if one jump a week is enough, technically by USPA standards...yes. But, for me at least, the more jumps that I squeeze in during a weekend, the easier it is for me to learn and improve. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  4. And how! No kidding! Basically, same here. A group of girlfriends and I would frequent a fraternity for their free drinks. We wouldn't put out, so they started calling us sluts???? We didn't care...we just wanted the free drinks. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  5. I am less amazed by women who get with nice men and still catch nasty stuff. "Nasty stuff" still comes in nice packages. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  6. Ha ha! No obstacle can break down my mighty Falcon! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  7. Of course! I can hear the Casa calling my name already! I think the corn's also calling my name, but I'm gonna try to avoid it. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  8. Umm...yes it did, and it was damn funny to see. I'm telling you....there were little green men hiding out that dragged me in! There was no stopping them...I'm just glad no one has video! What??? Don't all Italian restaurants serve chips & salsa???? Without you, Sunshine, I don't think I could've ever made it to the restaurant. Following other people is overrated....I'm convinced I can find any destination on my own...even without directions! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  9. Ha ha! We kick ass! 0:6:0 Not the best numbers in the world...I blame that on clouds/father's birthday/more excuses blah. But, I had so much fun at Hinckley this weekend....and Smooth....where were you????? There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  10. I'll take that challenge!!! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  11. Living with this one girl sophomore year of college. That is the ONLY thing I ever regret. Because, really, how much mold can one have in the fridge??? Other than that, I have no complaints. Everything seems to work out in the end. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

    Home DZ

Erk, you know I'm homeless...so, can I count the Convention as my home dz???? If not, my home will most likely be Chicagoland Skydiving in Hinckley. An otter and a porter. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  13. 0:7:2 First jump at my friends' brand spankin new dz here in IN. Much fun was had by all! The other case is for my first day at work. I guess I'm a grown up now, dealing with benefits and pension plans and stuff. I would've taken the case to work, but I'm not sure if that's a good way to climb the corporate ladder. 14. "That's what it's there for" a student to one of my friends about his Cypres firing on his first hop & pop. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  15. Erk, you just like em because you got 20 free cans of Red Bull and you've been bouncing off the walls ever since! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  16. Still not sure if I'm going to Richmond or Couch Freaks....don't worry...I should know by Labor Day! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  17. As if we could EVER stop talking about the Convention! Anyways, just got these pictures e-mailed to me from my awesome friend Ward. So, for those who missed out, the pictures are of me jumping the Bell 412 in my genie costume. These are about my only Rantoul pictures...just thought I'd share! 18. Thanks for the tips all! You guys rock! The 2325s work great! Just had to fill in that extra space. I coulda just ordered a bunch, but I slacked and probably wouldn't get them in time for jumping this weekend. But, there are NEVER problems with procrastinating! 19. Thanks, Erk! That's what I was lookin for! I've searched every camera/jeweler/Radio Shack/Walmart/Target/drug store....grrrr..... Thanks for the links guys...if I can't find the 2325s...the links will come in handy! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  20. My Pro-Track batteries are about up (that annoying "low battery" warning keeps yellin at me.) While moving from Purdue to....a location still to be determined, I seemed to have lost my extra set of batteries. I'm guessing no, but is there an easier to find equivalent of the "CR 2330" battery? Or, does anybody know of a jeweler on the south side of Chicago that has them (I think I've called most...but you never know.) Otherwise....I guess I'll have to break down and order some. Thanks! 21. I can't believe you forgot about your one true uniqueness....why fear the bonus lane?????? There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  22. I guess what makes me abnormal (but, probably not unique) -My ideas on relationships (in short, they never work! The longest I've dated someone is 6 weeks!) -I was the only girl to get a Statistics degree from Purdue in 2002 (it's not a big major...I think there were only 20-30 guys with one) -My grandma is one of my best friends That's all I can think of for now. Guess I'm not too unique. Oh well. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  23. I chose static line for a few different reasons: -my old home dropzone trained most of its students through static line -being poor and in college, it only took $35 a month to stay current -It didn't matter as much failing static line jumps (once again, needing only $35 to repeat a jump) -I looked cool hanging on the strut of a Cessna! I enjoyed static line. There was always something more (freefall time) to look forward to. Plus, (at the time) it felt like an accomplishment when I got bumped from the Cessna to the King Air for my 45 second delays! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  24. You seem to have on-going problems with cameras at dropzones..... If they're not broken or stolen...it's probably not mine! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  25. 1. More money 2. A bike (I'm too cheap for the golf carts) 3. A better air mattress 4. Pull up cords (I think I lost about 20 of em) 5. A digital camera (a roll of film of mine got exposed ) There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
