Why not? How is a woman's shelter in Frankfort, IN going to get enough money to support itself with the needed facilities, food, doctor's care, etc without the United Way? You really think that tons of people out there are willing to donate their money directly towards it? Cool! Indiana isn't too shabby (I'm here for goodness sakes!) There are lotsa dzs around Indy if you don't mind 1-3 hr drive. The Chicago area dzs are about 2 1/2 - 3 hrs away. (I think) the only ones open year round are Ottawa and Morris (I'm pretty sure Kankakee and Hinckley close in Nov.) All have some sort of turbine. Richmond is about 1 1/2 hrs away. They have a Caravan (full time I think). Franklin has Cessnas and is the closest. There are some really cool people that frequent it! The guy that painted my helmet is one crazy, funny dude! Scottbre jumps there (for a little longer at least.) Xenia is a little over 2 hrs away w/a Casa in the summer and something for the winter. Many people that post here are from there (wildblue, phreezone, cajun, skydiverchick, dengopher...there's others....it's too early to name em all.) I haven't been to Greensburg, so I know nothing about it. But, it's close to Indy. As for the party scene in Indy (I've never experienced it, so I'm going on what I've heard), I heard Broadripple rocks! Have fun with the move! I'm all about logging my jumps! I get made fun of (not just for this) about it frequently, but to me, it's like a diary of sorts (which I also keep...so I'm a dork...oh well.) Anyways, I try to log right after my jumps. This is difficult sometimes (especially at Rantoul...I used packers so that I had time to log!) The super fun fun cool idea for log books that I stole from Jaime at sgc is using those I-Zone camera pictures to make my uninteresting book even more fun! Everyone tells me this is all useless. But, I figure, when I'm a 90-year old crazy woman telling stories about jumping outta planes...at least I have some sorta proof, and maybe they won't send me to the nursing home so quick! Oh! One other thing I do...especially when I'm at a new dz....log during the day, get really drunk, then wander around, meet new people, and have them sign my log book at night! It tends to be fun!
