Damn right! And my "bottle" that I'd pop out of is the Bell 412! That whole Master bit scares me, though..... There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

How cold is too cold for you

When it gets less than 45 degrees or so on the ground, I don't enjoy the sport as much (I guess I'm not a hardcore skydiver?). I'm paying good money for these jumps, so I may as well spend my money when I enjoy it most. Maybe if the costs of jumps varied with temperature.... Another thing (people around Chicago love 'em it seems) is Bratwurst. I can't stand 'em. The smell of sauerkraut makes me ill. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning -

I drove a little over 1100 miles to FL, and there just happened to be a boogie going on there. So, I guess I didn't drive down specifically for a boogie, so I'm not sure if that counts. So, I guess the other thing would be a little over 900 miles last year to Mardi Gras. Too many miles on my car...time to start flying! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Olives. I can't stand them. I ate a sandwich once that had a few on it...tainted the whole thing. My father is the same way. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning -
Maybe so! Gym in high school should be replaced with sexual assault prevention classes (no, it's not covered in Health and Safety.) There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

I really don't know if it's a correct line of reasoning or not. In some cases, I could see how it would work. (ie, a girl afraid for her life so she doesn't fight back...rape kit doesn't show force, she never said no, etc). But, obviously, many cases where that line of reasoning is silly. (As in, I'm sure couples don't ask each other every single time before they have sex if they want to.) The whole gray area is where it gets all messed up! But, I had willingly been kissing them, and I wanted to stop. Same thing, hers is just much much more extreme. As for the drunkness thing....a girl feels forced into having sex. A drunk guy is less likely to have good judgment about forcing a girl into sex or not. A drunk guy is less likely to pick up on being pushed back, hearing no (the senses are weakened....if she used force, he's less likely to notice, hence more likely to continue having sex.) Not to debate whether it's right or wrong, some states will still convict a man of rape if she says nothing or uses no force at all. If she doesn't specifically say "yes," some will call that rape. So, I guess along that reasoning, if a "yes" is never given, and a woman only gives intent of not wanting to be there, by law he may be convicted, especially if he admits that she may not have wanted to have sex. I figured by discontinuing things on my half and mentioning a desire to be somewhere else, my intent would be clear. I agree. The government should hand out chastity belts to those who need them. If he loses that much judgment from alcohol, he should reconsider involving himself with females at that time. EVERY guy should consider it. No, I never had sex with any of them! So, it wouldn't have been rape. Them being drunk lessens their case, since judgment has been impaired. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Glad you posted that! Something of value to reply to now! I can see from the other side, actually. I agree that she did not use the best choice of words. However, that doesn't mean she didn't want to continue having sex. It also doesn't mean that he didn't understand her intent. Here's (hopefully) some insight to my side: I've made out with guys before at frat parties and such (okay, yeah...sure you're all shocked.) I've often changed my mind while messing around (also, another big shock there.) I've never said "stop" or "no." By my stopping to kiss them and saying something like "Oh! I think (random name here) wanted to dance with me at the party," guys should (and have) backed off. I guess I figured that if force or "NO!" is being used, he's already gone too far. I will use force to get myself out of a situation that I don't want to be in; however, I can't say the same about a girl who may be fearful of an aggressive guy. Yes, last year I could barely stand the temperatures at night. I had taken my space heater, but they don't have outlets near the camping area (I even brought some extension cords in case there were!) I discovered the joy of body heat keeping oneself warm! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

You obviously missed the point. She did say something in the meaning that she did not want to be in her current location. I honestly wish you were correct. The rape kit is so invasive, and if not done within 24 hrs, is usually dismissed. It has to be done within 72 hours. You think three days is alot? Most definitely not. Unfortunately (as demonstrated here) women get labeled too often as "whore" "liars" etc to come forward quickly. Without a full rape kit (meaning photographs as well), my state will give no help in prosecuting a case. Kinda tough if you're a college student with no money...our justice system is expensive. I guess it's just sad that everyone is SO quick to say "whore" "slut" "liar." Maybe she screamed "I have to go home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Maybe she tried to squirm (that's not really force) away. Who knows? Also, since she didn't prosecute the first guy, that leads me to believe even more that she's not lying. If she didn't want to look like a slut, wouldn't she have said "They both raped me!" There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Hey, Carrie....will you audition your list of male strippers for me? My roommate is having a bachellorette party and told me I better get her a good stripper! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Yes, that is your belief. However, as said before, the law does not say that she has to say "stop" or "no" to not give consent. And, as I've said before, there is probably more to the case than posted here. Also adding: I am just amazed at how quick everyone is to dismiss this as "yet another woman crying wolf." People really think that stereotype is more common than it actually is. If you don't know all the facts, how can you assume anything? There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Okay, replying to everyone, since I seem to be the only one with this viewpoint. I agree in that if she wanted to stop having sex, "I have to go home" was obviously not the best choice of words. However, I don't doubt that she wanted to stop having sex. As for the statistics, yes, despite the low number of false reports, it still happens, even to people I know. However, it is still much more likely for a woman to get sexually harassed and not report it than a man to get falsely accused. I find it upsetting that everyone is quick to say that she said the wrong thing. It doesn't say she has to say "no" or "stop" by law. She gave the best words she could to take back her previous consent. I guess the mentality shown here is what often prevents women from reporting it in the first place. "What if I didn't push him?" "I'm not sure what I said..." As I've said before, if no answer means no, shouldn't any suggestion of no also mean no? My guess is there was also more evidence of rape since he has been convicted (very difficult to do through our justice system.) Like Jess said, it is just an editorial, details are most likely missing. Adding: Someone mentioned what if she falls asleep during the act, that is rape in Indiana if a person doesn't stop. Sex with someone who is not awake is rape. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

If he didn't understand, it was his responsibilty to ask. He didn't. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Maybe she thought "I have to go home" gave her an excuse. Maybe she thought that by saying that instead of "no," he wouldn't accuse her of being a whore/rude/whatever else since she already started and had finished with the other. The boy obviously used bad judgment. When a girl says something meaning "I can't be here," what guys out there wouldn't think twice about what she meant? Adding on: since many states use the "no answer means no" to prosecute rapists, shouldn't a person giving a hint of not wanting to be there be an even bigger sign than no answer at all? There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
-
EXACTLY! The only debate is whether "I have to go home" means "no." There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Once again going to the fact that a person is not required to do either to not give consent. If the guy wasn't sure what "I have to go home" meant, he should've asked. My analogy....if a guy at a bar asks a woman if she wants another drink...she says "I have to go home." How do you take that answer? Also, I understand that these statistics are not 100% (I am a stat major afterall!) I really wish I could explain where they came from...I will try to find the stuff when I get home, though. Hehe....not losing any friends, Jim, I just have very strong opinions, especially since I did hours of research and took hours of training on the subject matter. I'm also not saying that this a women only issue. If a guy wants to stop halfway through, it is also his right. Just because you start something, the law doesn't say you have to finish. False sexual harassment claims are also incredibly low....I believe it was less than 3% or something. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
