What does it mean to win the "War on Terror"?
Vallerina replied to narcimund's topic in Speakers Corner
Yeah, so there is an actual "enemy," and they do want to attack some of our buildings. So, it's not an exact comparison, but using the war as a means to "control" people is similar. "We're winning!" "We're losing because of these jerks! We need your support!" There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning -
One more thing...would it be easy to get a ride to/from Ontario? There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Wendybird and I are getting married Saturday
Vallerina replied to diverdriver's topic in The Bonfire
Congratulations, Chris and Wendy! -
My job is to make sure that my company has enough money to cover your losses when you lose everything. Don't try to make it sound like your job is more important and humanitarian than mine. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

What's that got to do with what we're talking about? I don't see the correlation. That's how. My job didn't dictate my first thoughts about the humans that were suffering. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Yuck. I didn't think, "I hope the claims adjusters are out there so that they can get a quick turnaround on those claims!" There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Really? My first thoughts were of my friends that work in in New York City and of all the other people and how their lives completely changed that day. Then, shortly after, I thought, "Thank god there are people as brave as the ones in the Fire Dept. and Police Dept." There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Bwahahaha!!! Did he really say that in his speech? Uhhh....no...I doubt he really said that in real life! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Yes. Skydiving goals: I can get to my head all on my own! My canopy skills have improved. Hopefully, things go well at Perris in October, and that will complete my list of goals! Personal: I have learned a lot about myself this summer..... Friendships: I've taken full enjoyment and realized how great some of my friendships are. Family: I saw my family at least once a week, so I got to enjoy seeing my nephews change. Work....let's not go there There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

I love fall! I love doing anything more in the fall! It's so beautiful! Maybe I'll hit Tecumseh in the fall! It must be gorgeous there since there are so many more trees in MI than in IL!

No, I've already basically made up my mind who I'm voting for. No speech can ever make facts disappear. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

What makes you want to go to a boogie?
Vallerina replied to Rdutch's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Oooh! I forgot one thing....location. There are so many cool things that I want to see. If there is a boogie somewhere I'd like to go, I'm much more likely to go (hence, I want to go to the boogie in Alaska...) There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning -
Yes! I found a really pretty one while I was in Disneyland! My dress will basically be the float with lots of lights!!!!! Sounds good to me! Knowing WB and Jessica, they'll probably want to be alone together with no one else around... There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

I'm thinkin' we could do a double wedding!!! Have you gone looking for tuxes yet, Kris? There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Books that have changed you and your perceptions
Vallerina replied to Vallerina's topic in The Bonfire
And when I read your post, I thought the same thing....I'm generally not all about "self-help" books. I was just browsing around Borders, and I picked that one up, because I had no clue as to what to get. It turns out that it's a great book that's highly recommended by people who know more about that stuff than me! I put yours on my "to read" list! -
I believe the war is now over. Yesterday, Wildblue said that Jessicakes was cute!!!!! We all see who the big winner is! Hehehe! I may die for this. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Books that have changed you and your perceptions
Vallerina replied to Vallerina's topic in The Bonfire
Thanks for the input, everyone. I'm adding a few books on my "to read" list. I've read some mentioned, and all I'm going to say is, "Huh??? That influenced you?!?!?" There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning -
Sorry, Michele! I'm proof that it's not accurate! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
