No, but like I said, it's easier to spot someone who has been drinking. It has a distinctive smell, and you can't really cover that smell up with mints or brushing your teeth. Plus, like I said, a small breathalyzer is cheap, and it's easy to test anyone in a snap. Plus, I wasn't informed that jumping while drunk was common, so that's why I'm not addressing the issue. Jumping while high is bad. We all know that. It seems that the more lenient a dropzone is with heavy drugs on the dz, the more likely that skydivers jumping high is going to occur. Also, the more apparent drugs are on a dz, the more people are just going to look the other way and consider it a "necessary evil" that people will jump while high. I just make observations. I observed that at certain places, it's not a big deal if someone jumps while they're high. It's just "a part of the sport." I have observed skydivers chasing after popular/world-class skydivers and giving them the good drugs so that they can be cool, too. I have observed people who use drugs as a bonding experience, and that's sad. I'm confident enough in myself to get close to people with communication...not drugs. Ever have one? I'm always amazed at how much people's perceptions can vary. I see something as not a big deal...just a part of life/relationships...a risk you take....others get extremely pissed off at you and at knowing you. It's very interesting. I never mentioned any dzs in my posts. The point of this thread was NOT to tattle tale. The point of this thread was to see who all else is sick and tired of drugs on the dropzone, doesn't know what to do about it, and is sick and tired of having to deal with it just so they can jump. My god. If I would've posted about people jumping too small of canopies, would people feel like I was attacking their dropzone as a whole? If I would've posted that I'm sick of seeing young jumpers hop onto bigways, would people make assumptions as to which dropzone I was referring to? Probably not. Has anybody else had their thoughts bounce around so much in their head that they thought their skull was going to break? I don't think I've ever been so confused about so many different things all at one time in my life! I tried journalling, talking to friends, "sleeping on it," and all of that kind of crap. There are no conclusions to anything. I decided that I'm going to ask the Magic 8 Ball all of my important questions. I'm sure that it'll make the decisions better than I could. That already happens. If someone doesn't like me because I say that I don't like drugs on the dz, well, I don't really want to associate with them anyways. I never mentioned A dz because this happens at MANY dzs. Yes, I still plan on going to those dzs. There are people there who like me. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Actually...it's more than one incident and more than one dz. (Billvon warned me of this! ) Yes, I do know enough about drugs. Friends dying (one died of his heart quitting and another shot himself while on acid because he flipped out) and watching others shoot up and whatnot was pretty much all I really needed to know. I hung around that crap enough in high school. Okay, so if drugs are so acceptable, then why not have a list as to which dzs have which drugs? Why not say who does which drugs exactly? Okay, I'm just going to sum how I feel up. I don't like hard drugs being on a dz. I don't like how easy it is to access these hard drugs, and nobody can tell when you're on them. I wish more dzos had stricter policies when it comes to drug use on their dz. Yes, I know I can jump elsewhere. I don't care what people do in their own homes, but I do care what happens on a dz. Do you feel the same way about alcohol? That people who get drunk are just trying to fill a void? Just wondering. Yup. I am guilty of it. I like the taste of beer especially with spicy foods.
