Has the bonfire become a desperate popularity contest?
Vallerina replied to funks's topic in The Bonfire
Call me Val, but I thought that this place actually had less of the attention cries than it used to.... There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning -
Awww...thanks! There really are some cool people on here!

I never saw the point in changing names. I'd never change mine. I like my name! If the guy thinks that it's important to have the same name, then he can take mine! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Okay, let's get this thread back on track and talk about chasing butts in the tunnel in January! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

I always found this to be the funniest of emotions. I find it funniest when people want something they already have or don't need. I also never understood not being friends with someone out of jealousy. I'm not saying I've never gotten jealous of any of my friends, but I never understood not liking them because they're blessed in some way. I never understood not wanting to be friends with someone because of the way they look. Ever since I was 10, my best friend has been the most gorgeous woman I've ever known. All the guys hit on her first. Yes. All. While it would get to me at times, I never once wanted to be mean to her or not be friends with her for it. She's hot. It's not her fault. She's also an extremely brilliant woman who is so much fun to hang around. Why would I miss out on those things because she's hot? I never understood being too jealous to be friends with someone because of their intelligence. One of my friends became a millionaire at the age of 24 because of an airplane wing he developed. He's a genius. It would be great to understand difficult concepts so easily like he does, but to not have hung out with him and listen to his other theories because I wanted to have a higher iq...well, that just seems silly. I would've missed out on great conversation. I never understood not being able to be friends with someone because of their money. I'm going to have to work and not enjoy every luxury known to man, but I never understood stereotyping people with money and snubbing them for what they have. What I really don't understand is being jealous of somebody because they're well-liked and avoiding getting to know them. I will never be able to understand NOT wanting to get to know somebody because it seems they bring joy to other people who know them. Personally, I haven't run across too much jealousy. I haven't had many instances of people being extremely jealous of anything I have. The few times someone has been jealous has been a pretty sharp pang. I can take people being mad at me (hehe....I'm used to that!) I'm just glad I don't have much for people to get jealous of! Just a ramble of something on my mind! I just bought Rudolph on dvd (why does that seem slightly wrong?), and I really want someone to put the "Misfits" song to some skydiving footage! Has anyone done that? Can I send some video to someone who will? Man! What a great song! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

The time factor is what is different in the two cases, hence the two different sets of answers. When death is more imminent, it changes the answers. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Watching my teacher puts me in a trance!!! I'm still not sure how she moves like that. And, Rainbo, you can ask Kallend all about it! I have my coin belt now, so I'm sure I'll be dancing a whole lot more. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
