Ladies and gentlemen..... we may have a winner! he following mind-boggling attempt at a crime spree in Washington USA appeared to be the robber's first (and last), due to his lack of a previous record of violence, and his terminally stupid choices: 1. His target was H&J Leather & Firearms, A gun shop specializing in handguns. 2. The shop was full of customers - firearms customers. 3. To enter the shop, the robber had to step around a marked police patrol car parked at the front door. 4. A uniformed officer was standing at the counter, having coffee before work. Upon seeing the officer, the would-be robber announced a hold-up, and fired a few wild shots from a .22 target pistol. The officer and a clerk promptly returned fire, the police officer with a 9mm Glock 17, the clerk with a .50 Desert Eagle, assisted by several customers who also drew their guns, several of whom also fired. The robber was pronounced dead at the scene by Paramedics. Crime scene investigators located 47 expended cartridge cases in the shop. The subsequent autopsy revealed 23 gunshot wounds. Ballistics identified rounds from 7 different weapons. No one else was hurt in the exchange of gun fire. Here we are at the beginning of April and we already may have the 2005 winner of the Darwin Award. This guy is going to be hard to beat. That's funny you ask that, because I never really ever lost my taste of food. I've been eating things that I always eat and they don't taste any different. People said things would taste differently. Now it's become a real fight with myself sometimes to keep the faith. Had some tests at work this week too. Some situations that make you just run outside scream at the world and smoke 4 just to get back to your happy place. Will power has overcome those situations just barely.. Drinnking coffee now doesn't trigger the urge to smoke. Had a beer lastnight with dinner and it wasn't to hard until I got down to the bottom. I decided not to order another because I had a feeling it would just be more internal fighting with myself I wasn't looking forward to that. Not smoking doesn't bother me at all. I really don't miss the smoke. The hardest part for me now is the internal battle with myself to not smoke. It's kind of weird though once I've beaten the urge to just give up and give in and light one up I feel refreshed and stronger. Gives me new hope that I can beat this addiction. I discovered smell again I never really knew what I smelled like when I was smoking... Man I stunk, I feel sorry for you non-smokers who hung around me sometimes. I have a co-worker who got to my office door and I could smell the smoke on him. I never knew it was really that powerful. I am not looking forward to the weekend, well I am but I'm not. Fridays are my normal "happy hour" nights, while Sat & Sun are filled with errands and stuff. Going to try and consume some adult beverages this weekend. Was suggested I stick with a mixed drink like Beam & Coke or some others, that beer was a serious trigger for a smoke. This advice was given by anthor ex-smoker in the office. I think I can do it. [RANT] Damn I disspise the tobaco industry!! What they've done to the youth. I was 17 when I started... They all knew how addictive nicotene (sp) is and they ADDED Chemicals to make them even more addictive! Fuckers! Oh well I got them beat! They and the Goverment will never get another dime out of me for tobaco! I feel so stupid now.. I will never be one of those "holier then thou" non smokers and complain your killing me everytime you light up. Smoker need and deserve some rights. The fucking goverment is taxing them to the poor house. Just because they're addicted to a product the goverment itself KNEW since the mid 50's was extremely addictive and a health hazard. Now they're taking away the ability to light up when they need to. I say need, because when you're addicted you NEED to light up. It is a physical addiction your body craves the chemicals in the cigarettes. You non-smokers who've never smoked have NO IDEA how hard it is to quit. It's not like we can just put them down and quit one day. (I know some will argue "well I did") bah to you.. Whatever, the normal smoker isn't that talented in the ways of the force [RANT OFF] I just have one suggestion to those out there who are smoking and have thought about quiting. The one thing that helped me the most this time was setting a Date and sticking to it. My biggest problem with quiting before was telling myself once I finish this project I'll quit... ok well once I get through this rough spot with my life I'll quit, it'll be easier then without the stress. I set my date Jan 1st that I was going to quit April 4th. That was my date and man the closer it came the more aggitated I became. It helped alot to know that, that day I was never going to lite another. ok I've rambled..
