Ok Wrongway.. You are taking the discussion out of context and trying to get it moved. You are not thinking before you type. I'm not talking about "chruch" in the sense of religion. There was once a time in our not so distant past, hospitals and medical care were overseen my churches and people of the faith. That's when the people running the establishment cared about people. Now it's all about the dollar... period. As for the discovery, I think it's awesome. I'm very hopefull this is something that can actually help others. Astroglide --- My martooni when made at home is Grey Goose, olive & splash of dry vermouth. As you all should know a martini is made with gin not vodka. It can be made with vodka, but it's then called a "vodka martini". Then you can go this route... (actually some I'd like to try) Absinthe Martini Ingredients: 2 oz Gin or Vodka 1/2 oz Dry Vermouth 1/8 tsp Absinthe Mixing instructions: Stir well with ice. Strain into a prechilled cocktail glass. Very pleasant with an onion stuffed olive. Some bartenders pour a soucon of Absinthe into the glass, swirl it around and then add the martini. _____ Or this sounds yummy. Absinthe Minded Martini Ingredients: 3 oz Gin (Bombay Sapphire) (can be substituted with your faveorite vodka) 1/2 oz Absinthe (Mari Maryans Absenta) 1/2 oz Grand Marnier Dry Vermouth 1 Orange peel Mixing instructions: Properly chill 1 cocktail glass. In mixing glass with ice, pour gin and absinthe, and stir. In your cocktail glass, roll 1/2 oz of dry vermouth and throw away the excess. Strain other ingredients into cocktail glass and float 1/2 oz of grand marnier over top. Garnish with orange peel.
