Six Muslim Clerics Removed from USAir Flight for Praying
NCclimber replied to Andy9o8's topic in Speakers Corner
Not all of those planes are US planes and not all of those planes are commercial. However, it does show that if you are flying from the southern portion of the US you should be aware of Cuban hijackers more than Arab hijackers. What was the number fatalities of all those hijackings? How about after exclude deaths of the hijackers? -

Despite the fact that "the top 1% of earners pay 37% of all the federal individual income taxes collected. The bottom 50% of earners pay just 3% of those taxes." Most liberals that I've spoken to think top income earners show pay more taxes. OPM -

Making a joke about a bomb, will get you arrested, but it's okay to chant "Death to Americans"? -

Don't need to, we've killed tens of thousands by invading their country and dropping bombs on them. I dread the revisionist history books of the future that claim the deaths caused by Allied forces in WWII were Christian Genocide. -

It's a lame analogy, Bill. The Imams were saying threatening things about Americans. Aside from one or two abortion clinic bombings, Americans have no reason to fear physical harm from Christian extremists. If the situation you fabricated did play out, I think people would be more forward in asking them "What's your deal, pal?", as well as openly complaining to airline personel. And before someone tries to compare the number of hijackings to the number of abortion clinic bombings, take into consideration the difference in the death tolls and recognized that suicide terrorism by Muslim extremists is common enough for the average citizen to be concerned about the behavior of those Imams. -

Has a lot to do with conservatives being generous with other people's money, which relates directly to the title of this thread. Perhaps you should start a thread about which ideology has more crooks. Offering up isolated examples, doesn't offset the point of the OP. -

Does this have anything to do with which group gives more to charity? Or is it just another red herring? -
From another thread: Nothing suspicious here, folks. Move along. Enjoy your flight.

Not stating that wikipedia is accurate or contains all relevant information but reviewing the list of well-known hijackings on wikipedia shows 4 non-Arabs and 19 Arabs have hijacked planes in the US. And then there's the number of fatalities caused by hijackings in this country. I'm guessing the Arabs are responsible for over 99% of that figure. -

I find it amazing that you only see these as the alternatives. How about working 3 jobs so your wife can stay home with the kids. I think that's the situation the Steveorino was describing. He sounds like a real deadbeat. Abandonment? Right. -

OK, so Irish Catholics are more likely to be terrorists than arabs, based on numbers killed. Not in this country. Kudos on the dead queen bit of trollery. I look forward to the introduction of Stalin and Mao into this thread. -

Just from doing a very quick research it appears that white folks in the U.S. have hijacked more planes than anyone else in the U.S. Who, besides BD Cooper? What is the death toll of those hijackings. I can list 19 middle easterners, who hijacked four planes, that resulted in the deaths of nearly 3000 people. -

[replyNo, abandonment is abandonment. If you abandon them because you're working four jobs, it's still abandonment. Kids need parents, not a flyby visit once a day. Its amazing how honorable actions can be put in a smarmy context. -

Or going to Oxford! Any right thinking person would go to Cambridge. However, winning a Rhodes Scholarship is not a matter of being well connected. Neither is backstabbing those who helped you change your draft status. -

Red Herring? -
One key component of good trolling is offering attractive bait. Otherwise, they all just swim on by. I wonder if we'll start the internment of breast feeding mothers???

Damn right. Very religious people (with support) scare the shit out of me - they should scare you as well. Mother Teresa? Scary? How so? How about the Dali Lama? How about the millions of dedicated Christians who don't prosthelytize? Did you know a full deck of cards comes with 54 cards? Some people think 30 or 40 cards is no different than a full deck.

What did you mean when you said they were close to "becoming constitutional amendments!"? The article notes conservatives have a preference towards organized and unambiguous Reality-Models, such as "good" and "evil" or "right" and "wrong". It says "a preference towards" You say they only see the world in Good and Evil. A preference towards means "only"? You infer "very religious" to mean "scarily religious". This comes across as blatant religious bigotry.

Well, conservatives also seem to like rules that allow them to emulate Enron and Tyco: www.iht.com/articles/2006/11/20/yourmoney/market.php Yeah. Those business types are all just a bunch of crooks. Lay, Fastow, Skilling, Ebbers.... Millions of investors robbed of their savings. The rules were put in place for a very good reason. And those crooks are representative of mainstream conservatives??? About the article you post - do you think it's good to throw the baby out with the bath water? -
I didn't say it was close to passing. You should read what you write before posting. Your distortion of the what was written in the link I provided gives me the impression that you are only interesting in trying to misunderstand points raised, instead of honestly debating them.

Many things did not seem to exist 100 years ago or even 10 years ago. got a link to this flux capacitor or are you just being smart and making reference to 'Back to the Future'? rhys Flux Capacitors exist. Presently, they're just prohibitively expensive to use. Therefore no new ones are being built. The real solution is dilithium crystals. It's a well known fact that the Earth's core is full of these incomparable energy resources. Unfortunately, we still lack the technology to find and harvest them.

You're a model of tolerance. Since you seem unable to accept the behavior of the locals, perhaps.... YOU SHOULD STAY THE FUCK OUT OF OKLAHOMA!!!!! and brush up on your American history, too. On a side note, Hugh Jackman (of Wolverine fame) is starring in Oklahoma on PBS, 8pm, Thurday. Oklahoma is OK.

When was the last six year period that Federal Spending wasn't at an all-time high? Nice ploy - trying to make the issue of personal generosity a congressional issue. -
