Well, in the spirit of the upcoming Oscars; my "Golden Throttle" award goes to: Dawn, John, Paige, Jenn, Jake, the guys from Mass Defiance, and everyone at SVNH. Also, everyone I haven't flown with yet! :-) Sorry, I can't narrow it down to just one.

Hi Walt, What do you think about Kaspersky Internet Security? Thanks!
-
Just had a Spaten Optimator. Perfect!

I've thought about that more than once...

My immediate neighbors have been refusing to move their cars after it snows so the plows can clear the spaces. After every storm when the plows come around (it's been a *very* snowy winter here) I've politely asked them to move the cars and their response has been "we don't care if our spaces get plowed". The only problem is that the plow is too wide to properly & safely clear a single space (mine) so I end up shovelling half the space; and I have back problems and probably shouldn't be shovelling! Somehow these people don't or won't realize that their actions are impacting me. I've taken it up with the condo board and was told that there was really nothing they can do about it. Huh? Thanks for the thread Walt; I needed to vent!

Hey Ben, did you happen to record the show? I can't find it on "on demand"; and according the schedule it won't be broadcast again till the 19th. I'm just too impatient to wait. Thanks!

If you want to jump wingsuits, Z-Hills looks like the happening place. If you want a nearby wind tunnel, Perris and Eloy are the places. Pepperell is the happenin' wingsuit place in the Northeast; and SVNH is 15 minutes away...

Farm animals...now there's an idea! HEE! (just kidding; I know what you meant)

Yes to both; and no relief in sight. :-(

Here's mine, taken about 10 mins ago...

A 5 year old and his mom (an AFF student) were watching a load take off, and after the plane passed he looked at her and said "the Otter makes my penis rumble". I almost fell over laughing when she told me. Priceless! :-)

Soaring Adventures of America, Inc. Is this one legit?!
staceyg replied to ACMESkydiver's topic in The Bonfire
Hi Jaye, We're finishing up our first season with 800soaring.com and have had no problems that I know of. They are a legitimate company, and very easy to deal with. If you have any questions, just ask! Peace, Stacey -
Just call him "Lavender Mike". He hates that.

Big cheer for Mass Defiance! -S

Yup, the tube of pleasure/crackpipe opened one year ago today! Congrats to Rob, Laurie, and their staff on a successful first year; and many more to come!

Imagine razor sharp claws coated with several layers of sugar. That's me. Throw things? Nah; but I *will* spank you as you get on the plane. Well, I'll probably spank you even if you're on time just 'cuz it's fun (of course I'll blame it on the guy behind you). How to get along with me? Shoulder rubs and sushi work; cheap beer doesn't. One thing that hasn't been mentioned: Kyle has been busily scrounging wood for the bonfire, and we should have more than enough for the weekend. Him, him... Stacey manifest bitch & wingsuit groupie

SVNH is definitely not cave-like! Took a look at the pics, and it appears to be an effect of the flash. The building has floor to ceiling windows which let in an abundance of natural light during the day. At night the chamber is well lit, both inside and out. Come see for yourself!

MIT Skydiving Club 50th Anniversary Event 7/15
staceyg replied to staceyg's topic in Events & Places to Jump
Posting this for Riccardo: Hello Everybody, This year the MIT Skydiving Club is celebrating its 50th Anniversary! To celebrate this memorable event we will organize a MIT Big-Way Skydiving Event. The skydiving coordination will be managed by Jim Rees (member of Mass Defiance and MIT Class of '89). The MIT Big-Way is scheduled for July 15 at Skydive Pepperell (Home Dropzone of the MIT Skydiving Club). This event was attempted last in 1992 when an MIT 8-way was built at Pepperell (http://web.mit.edu/skydive/www/history.shtml). If you are a MIT student, a MIT prospective student, an alumna or alumnus, a staff member, or a former staff member and would like to participate please email me or just show up at the DZ on July 15th. Jim Rees will accommodate for different levels of experience. He think that as long as you are current, can dock safely on a 4-way or larger formation, and can track safely you can and should participate. If you have not skydived for a long time you have almost a month to get current again. Please email if you have any questions and are thinking to participate. We would love to connect and to hear from you. Remember, we need you!!! Blue Skies, Riccardo Signorelli President - MIT Skydiving Club signo(at)mit(dot)edu http://web.mit.edu/skydive/www -
Hi Matt, Have you asked your doctor about Lexapro? I was on it a couple of years ago, and had great results. The only side effects I noticed were during the first 3 weeks going on and the last 2-3 weeks coming off (felt like I was getting the flu); but my doctor told me to expect it so I just rode it out. Other than that it was fine. Evened out the mood swings, and got me through a rough time. Hope you feel better soon, I know how tough this is. If you have any questions, ask away! Peace, Stacey
