  1. I see you have never been to Lost Prairie!!!!
  2. It will be interesting to see how much spent on the Iraq war came back to the USA. With so many offshore business entities profiting and not paying into Social Security and US taxes, I don't think there is any ROI. Now add in all of the costs for military medical care, rebuilding Iraq, rebuilding our sandpapered military vehicles and a hundred other "hidden" costs, it's staggering! And 4,000+ lives...
  3. Cleveland Sport Parachute Club 1980 static line/2,800ft. T-10 with a belly mount. Mr. Gates was the instructor, his son Bob flew the plane. Scared S%$tless!
  4. TSA/Homeland Security rip off Iraq War fiasco Defense budget overall Star Wars missle scam/SDI This may be the final Nation vs. Nation war. Everyone has seen how much it costs, countries can't afford this major of a war effort anymore.
  5. Years ago a poorly running spinny thing on an otter about 1,000ft. We did a slow 180 and landed. The cockpit escape hatch flew open on take off of a skyvan at Lost Prairie a few years back. It made one hell of a noise and everyone about crapped in their jumpsuits! We couldn't get it closed and did a go around to a nice landing. I still get looks from jumpers when I ask them politely to buckle up, and wear their helmets. I see many jumpers that should know better wear a nice helmet on their chest strap for take off. Silliness, really...
  6. The best thing to help an injured jumper is a DZ that has an efficient EMS plan in place. Working with the local EMS provider is a must to ensure smooth operations during an accident. The more the DZ trains the local responders and the more the local responders train the DZ, the better it is for the jumpers. A quick response =quick transport=better chance of survival and recovery. The second best thing to help out an injured jumper is a good first aid kit and some well trained people at the DZ. The third best thing is for the people that don't know anything about first aid to follow the instructions of the folks that know what to do. Many untrained jumpers have been a great asset by following instructions and helping out CALMLY. Don't run out to "help" if a bone striking out of a jumpsuit will make you panic. "A license" jumpers have enough to worry about...
  7. We could throw you a hell of a "39"!!
  8. If you are at manifest in a bikini I had better get a MUCH bigger jump plane! Business will be booming!!!!! Maybe you should come manifest at the boogie. Call me! XXXOOO
  9. I'm sure everyone will twist my arm at BC's beachfront bar to do a boogie VI. I will lose my mind once again, my wife will threaten divorce, or at least beat me with the rolling pin and I'll maybe consider setting dates for 2010! But then I will realize what a fantastic event this has been and it's time to put it to bed for a few years. I'll let the cat out of the bag now. There will be a full time DZ in Belize by November 1, 2010. More to follow when all of the paperwork, logistics and aircraft are confirmed. We can discuss it all over a cold Belikin in two short months!
  10. John, It wouldn't be the same without you there! And this is the final boogie. There, I said it in public! Bring the Blonde hotties with you of course!!!
  11. Bring a sweatshirt and a rain jacket. And shorts and flip flops.

  15. I just returned from Belize Monday. The Belikin Beer is chill'n. The JetA is purchased. The party nights are set. The live music is ready. The sun will be shining. The super otter is getting washed. See you in freefall over the "Blue Hole" soon! I have 15 rooms remaining. Bring a group from your DZ and get free jumps.
  16. Two very cute Canadian ladies just signed up today also...the party is brewing!
  17. What! No Splash? The women will be dancing in the streets! Are you making it down S.?
  18. Don't bring sand to the beach. There are four smoking hot female non jumpers attending just to party for a week with us on their way to Rio. There are also a few very cute single female jumpers, as always. Now add in about five or six hotties that just come down to do a tandem and meet jumpers each boogie. And of course there would never be nice girls drinking in a Caribbean beach bar just down on vacation or anything! And I haven't even mentioned how lovely the Belizean women are! And Bolas is coming down to be a good wingman! Show your friend the boogie video and he will be in! http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7213577986895800886&ei=hRkSSfOsHY_o-AHlycSiCg&q=aphid+air+designs+belize See you in freefall over the Blue Hole!
  19. http://www.skydivingfatalities.info/ How many jumpers do you think there are worldwide? If they are speaking about licensed jumpers they are probably in the ball park. According to this website there were 59 deaths in 2007.
  20. Here is the 2008 boogie video. This will answer many of your questions. Enjoy! http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7213577986895800886&ei=hRkSSfOsHY_o-AHlycSiCg&q=aphid+air+designs+belize
  21. I had a pc hesitation once, it pulled the closing pin but stayed in the burble a bit. The lines started coming off of the D bag and the pc slipped through a couple of lines. It finally deployed after a couple of seconds into a nice spin-O-rama with a half hitched pc around some lines. This was the very early days of collapseable pc's and I probably didn't check it before the jump. It was a nice soft opening into a violent spin. Very strange. I shortened my closing loop and checked my pc before every jump after my reserve ride! Shall we discuss this more over rum in Belize? Glad you're OK and didn't knock your block off!
