Hmmmmm....none of you dorks mentioned Shell666. After all it is her 29th birthday (again) and... She's the only chick in the history of Lost Prairie boogies (42 years I think) to have her boobs bronzed and mounted on the wall at the LP lounge! carry on...

I watch the Mighty Quackers practice all of the time (our police/fire beer league skates in the AM) at Anaheim Ice. Ryan is good, but he still can't outskate old man Selanne...no one on their team can. Guigure will have to stop more than a beachball for the Ducks to move up in the playoffs. And a side note...George Parros and Pronger don't look human out on the ice. Giants. Crosby over rated...put down the crack pipe dude...he would be leading the league in scoring if he wasn't out for injuries.

Have you jumped for sustained periods of time...
grimmie replied to skittles_of_SDC's topic in The Bonfire
Jumping without insurance is probably the dumbest thing a person can possibly do. It's not always just you in control. Think about getting clipped in a canopy collision or having a premature deployment off of the plane. Now think about lying in a field with a collapsed lung, two broken femurs and a head injury. Helicopter ride-$15,000 Hospital bill-$175,000 Rehab-$20,000 Bankruptcy attorney-? Having insurance-priceless More than one person I know has been wiped out and his/her families also due to no insurance jumping accidents. Just my 2 cents worth. -
Nope, most men use chloroform for their favorite moves...

Hmmm, interesting. I thought the move all women loved was a good porn DVD, a can of PBR and a bag of Doritos, with me sleeping in the wet spot...

I just hope we will make some jumps together, the real kind with parachutes and all!

The Pens have a great chance now that they won't get outcoached in games.

$10 says little sister Shell666 fires off the first official thread!

Oakland PD probably has the toughest beat in the Bay area. Regardless of their reputation by other PD's, these four guys did their best to protect the citizens. I'm sure there are some extremely dedicated officers on their department trying to make a difference. One agency badmouthing another is an age old tradition, usually without much merit.

I imagine all of the other passengers ripping at you and your rig would do more harm than the 200 knot exit airspeed.

Use of Medical Personnel with Injuried Students
grimmie replied to reddn's topic in Safety and Training
And I replied that once he introduces himself to the local DZ he will be a vital part of an emergency response. I'm on a ladder truck, we don't let the "bedpan commandos" from the engine co. touch ANYTHING! -
Use of Medical Personnel with Injuried Students
grimmie replied to reddn's topic in Safety and Training
The problem with training everyone that jumps how to do first aid is the continuing education and recertification. I do think that full time instructors/video flyers/DZO's and managers should have at least a basic first aid course. But the best available thing to an inured jumper is a smooth and well run DZ emergency plan with the local EMS provider.
