Detroit doesn't look as invincible as they did last season. I'm just hoping that Hossa and Datsyuk don't wake up if they make the finals. I think the Pens have a little too much speed for the Canes. But Cam Ward is the best goalie of the final four. Unless of course Fluery pulls some more of that last game magic out of his ass!

Gray Davis was recalled because of the California elctricity crisis and the dot.com bubble bursting. Then the prison guard raises got everyone riled up. When you look at the California budget and the business community that suffers from overbearing laws, it's amazing anyone lives or works here. Add in the billions spent on indigent healthcare, the court system, the prison system and the ridiculous amount of money we waste during fire season each year, it's mind boggling. Now add in the school systems, infrastructure and the disaster of the year(insert fire, flood or earthquake here) it gets enormously expensive. Now we have entire neighborhoods sitting vacant and property tax not being paid. Cities and Counties are raising permit fees on everything and charging for services that were once free. Try building anything in this state. The fees and requirements are ludicrous. So now we're left with a bunch of empty buildings with well lighted ample parking and nice greenbelts around them. And if you really want to be disheartened, look at how a city budgets their money. If there is a few thousand dollars left in a department heads budget he has to spend it or he won't get that much next time. Cities are finally realizing that that sort of thinking must stop. I have been on a fire department here in SoCal for 26 years. We(the FF union) have presented ways to save the city millions of dollars over the years, but nothing changes. We try to get them to relax some of the archaic fire codes to make it more business friendly. I have a lot of cop and FF friends retiring. Non of them are staying in CA. Why not save $7,000 or $8,000 per year on your taxes by going to Nevada or a like state? Politicians like to spend, not save. Spending is what gets them in office and keeps them there. I hope that trend comes to an end soon. oops, I just fell off of my soapbox..carry on...

What a game tonight! Fluery was simply amazing and Ward was incredible. This should have been a 7-6 game! Going 7 if the injuries don't hamper the Canes. Malkin was terrific.

Pierre and Milbury are horrible. Doc Emrick is great and Eddie O is just so so. I don't know why they don't hire a guy like Bob Miller of the LA Kings or the other good guys out there to make the telecast watchable. I miss Gary Thorne's calls also. The Hawks were playing pretty well until the third. But I think the Wings have their number this year and it will go six.

A "demo" is a jump with flags/smoke/banners, etc in front of a crowd of people. "Skydiving Entertainment" happens when the rain clouds come or the sun goes down at the DZ. Usually started with a "Hey, hold my beer and watch this"!

The Ducks had that game won. They played undiciplined hockey. Detroit is the best overall team, but they don't look as strong as they did last year. Datsuyk looks injured. The Hawks have great young talent. They will come at Detroit hard all series and the "Bulin Wall" is a much better goalie than Ozzie. The Pens and the 'Canes were the two hottest teams in the league down the strech of the regular season. Ward is a better goalie than MAF. The Pens have WAY too much firepower for the Canes "D" to handle. As usual it will all come down to the goalies. All four teams are no surprise to be in the final four. I like the Pens for it all. Yes I know I'm a huge fan of theirs, but I think there is one difference this year. Dan Bylsma. He's "unleashed the hounds" to play firewagon hockey when needed. If Sid and Geno play like they have been it will be lights out for the Canes. Gotta love this time of the playoffs!!!!

Don't have a good answer to that one. One can only speculate. Personally, I'd submit to waterboarding for $1000 per second. I think it would suck pretty bad while it was happening, but knowing that there's no permanent impairment, I'd take the cash. Heck, at those rates, I'd probably spend a month trying to rack up a score like KSM, and take home the big money. The grand was for charity. Can we get Myles Daisher to do your waterboarding? I'd make a fortune on the "gate" to that.

No one discusses how many prisoners were held in Gitmo for years with no charges. Were we waterboarding a bunch of innocent taxi drivers? And if waterboarding is no big deal why doesn't Hannity take up Olbermann's challenge? $1,000 per second.

I tuned in to see a great game 7. Who knew the Caps didn't know there was a game 7. Anti-climactic ending to a great series. Who here thinks Crosby isn't great now????

Fluery is either amazing or just another goalie. It all depends on his mood I think. Yes, they can win a Cup with him if he gets it all together. The Pens are much better coached now. Game 7 will be all about the goalies, like usual!

The Pens and 'Canes were the two hottest teams the last 20 regular season games. The 'Hawks have GREAT young talent. Detroit is simply the most talented and probably best coached team in the league. Vancouver isn't tough enough, the Caps always crumble to the Pens and... Isn't playoff hockey the best sport in the world!!!!!!
