    and its also a measure of the quality of these people who put their life on the line WITHOUT wanting to be armed.     I can be somewhat of a prick when it comes to helmets on during take-off and roll and up to at least 1-1500' before removing it. My prickness was validated when a friend and former student was ejected from the plane crash while wearing her helmet. Instead of having reconstructive surgery to the right side of her face, she needed a new helmet. we have to have our helmats on at manifesting up to take off, we can take them off at about 2k feet, but we have to put them back on at around 9k... once we start the protracted handshakes LOL ________________________________________ drive it like you stole it and f*ck the police

    and none of them comes even close to taking somebodies life, i can only speak for the view of one policewomen (my girlfriend) and that is she didn't join the policeforce to have to kill somebody with a gun, if it came to that...she'd not put herself in the position of having to do it in the first place, and that would mean leaving the force if they tried to force her to carry a gun. She can (and does) her job effectively without carrying a gun ________________________________________ drive it like you stole it and f*ck the police

    Why not? Do you not trust your police force? - Jim its not a matter of trusting them, yes we trust them... its just that it would cause an escalation of violence. If you're a petty criminal toe rag, and you go and rob a shop or something, if you KNOW the police are going to be carrying guns, you're more likely to carry a gun yourself, and that can lead to possible deaths where there wouldn't have been any in the first place. The average american seems to have the mind set that they will at some point need a gun, we have the mind set that at no point will we need a gun ________________________________________ drive it like you stole it and f*ck the police

COULD NOT HAVE DONE ANYTHING ABOUT IT EVEN IF THEY HAD BEEN CARRYING GUNS, what part of that fact don't you undertsand? Most of the public in Britian don't want an armed police force, most of the police don't want an armed police force.... understand? In general, you need armed police (because of the state of your country) in general, we don't need armed police (again, because of the state of our country) I've been several times to the states, i felt unsafe a fair few times compared to the amount of times i feel unsafe in Britain ________________________________________ drive it like you stole it and f*ck the police
