  1. do you think Bush would have gone into Iraq if there wasn't oil there? i'm not being scarcastic, i'm genuinly not sure myself and it pains me to see our Prime Minister, Tont Blair, jump to the tune of Bush as if he's his lap dog. ________________________________________ drive it like you stole it and f*ck the police
  2. i did my first jump as a tandem, so i'm speaking from experience... i couldn't breath at all in freefall, i thought i was going to pass out. I spent the whole freefall looking down at the ground though, my tandem intructor didn't put a hand inder my chin to lift my head up. we were told on the ground though that you won't be able to breath if you look down because the air will be going passed your mouth and nose so fast that you won't be able to take any in, i forgot this in the "panic" of freefall. He also told us that if we look straigh ahead, the air will form almost an airbubble (maybe just going slower) from under out chin, and we'll be able to breath that in. I experienced not being able to breath so i know it does happen. Now i've done 15 jumps myself, i never look down and have no problem breathing at all, its not somethign that i even think about ________________________________________ drive it like you stole it and f*ck the police
  3. I agree. Not even close. I don't think many catholics or protestants want to kill each other in the US. Probably the closest comparison for the US would be blacks vs. whites. you're right, you just fund the IRA through NORAID collections in New York don't you and let them kill each other back in their "home" land (even though there are more paddys in New York than there are in the Repulic of Ireland ________________________________________ drive it like you stole it and f*ck the police

  5. My instructor said to me "the only stupid question is the one you don't ask" Always believe what your instructors tell you 100% and always tell them anything anybody else tells you.... they will tell you if the other person is right or not, and if they are not... they will give a bollocking to the other person for telling you I had somebody tell me something after my 3rd jump, i asked my instructor if this was right for me and he said NO... i then watched him tear a strip off this other guy infront of all his mates and then asked him to leave the airfield for the day and to think about what he had done ________________________________________ drive it like you stole it and f*ck the police

  8. i respect your point of view on this... its just that i think there is a duty of care on both sides. I want them next to me when they should be, but not when they are going to be in danger of not going home to their family at the end of the day. Just my opinion, i'm not saying you're wrong ________________________________________ drive it like you stole it and f*ck the police
  9. I'm not an instructor, so forgive me for posting in your section, but..... I got into a spin at 7000ft on my level 7 jump, my instructor came in to stop me and dislocated his shoulder, the fact i was responsible for that almost made me give up, but i didn't..... if i was to go so low that i put my instructor's life in danger, i'd never ever be able to live with myself if they got killed because of me. We all know the risks, its not their responsibility to put their lives on the line like that for us ________________________________________ drive it like you stole it and f*ck the police
  10. hi ya i've just completed my AFF at Langar, try and get down there if you can for a few jumps... its really friendly and all the instructors have loads of time to chat about anything you want... they told me the only stupid question is the one you don't ask !!! ________________________________________ drive it like you stole it and f*ck the police
  11. hi there, i'm new to this site and skyding too... i've only done 15 jumps On my 12th jump (level 7 AFF) i span out of control and when my instructor came in to stop me, he dislocated his shoulder when he grabbed me... i managed to land safely but found out that he had broken his leg on landing too all i can say is this... after my bad jump, the other instructors at the DZ said i should go back up that day and do a chill out jump to get me back in the air, i did and it went fine, i passed my level 7 the next jump after the chill out one. Talk about your fears to your instructors as they deffinately know best, listen to what they say and do what ever they tell you to do, not easy sometimes but they wouldn't let you back in the air if they didn't believe you could do what they ask you to do ________________________________________ drive it like you stole it and f*ck the police
