Having worked as an adjustor for Nationwide, I can tell you that they are a horrible company. They give their adjustors far too many claims per day, and no tools to effectively do their job. We were set up to fail. I quit as soon as I can, because I was unable to provide customers with effective service with the tools I was given. Illinois needs a CCW Law. NOW.

That was by Act of Parliament. However, the High Court's decision in James Somerset's case in 1772 was widely understood as freeing slaves in England by virtue of common law. In Scotland there was no right to own another person (although indentured servitude certainly existed as a matter of FACT, rather than LAW). Did this apply to the tailless Manx Cats on the Isle of Man?? Illinois needs a CCW Law. NOW. -

So there's this case- in the late 1960s a group of Marines in VA go into a fast food joint in a predominantly black neighborhood. They're clearly drunk, and are using racial epithets(sp?). Another restaurant patron, a black fellow, hears the epithets and shoots three of them, killing two. His defense? He came from a rotten background, and hearing the racial epithets pushed him over the edge, so he was justified. What do you think? Personally, I think the quote of the class was an answer to what the implications of allowing this defense would be: Never a dull moment. Illinois needs a CCW Law. NOW.
