Depends on the state. More enlightened places like Colorado legally relieve residents of liability when they use force in self-defense within their domiciles. I don't know the state by state laws ... Remember, in America it costs a lot of tax payer money to hospitalize and then incarcerate criminals so make sure you are accurate. Is that better? It's moot. The surviving family members can still bring a wrongful death civil suit... Edit: But it'd be better to have such a lawsuit (I'll get representation pro bono) and have one less oxygen thief in the world, than to be robbed, or have my family attacked. You two are arguing two different issues. I don't see Israelis or Jews in general torching Mosques over this, because they're not sheeple like the uneducated poor that the Mullahs are puppeteering. Re: IDF going after insurgents--It's to be expected. What we have here is asymmetric warfare: Guerilla attacks and religious drum-beating by the Muslims against a well-trained and well armed miltary. This will never be over. Yer Muslim hates yer Jew, and vice versa. Stop trying to paint pure religious and economic hatred with political undertones. Islam forbids charging interest. Judaism does not. That in and of itself is one cause of why Israelis are better off economically, (and in creature comforts) and the Muslim is jealous. Are you going to leave the weapon loaded or unloaded. It takes longer to load shells into a shotgun then a clip into a pistol. There are other things to think about also ... have you thought about mace or a tazer? Shotgun: Loaded, would not have one in the chamber. The sound of the slide is intimidating.
