CNA isn't drawing bloods a bit beyond thier scope of practice. I know some hospitals will use what they call PCA basically a CNA with extras, but being a PCA dosen't ammount to dick when you move to another facility. As far as EMT: Basics that is beyond our scope. Intermediate NY dosen't use them, so I am not sure what they do and couldn't comment about it. CC I just don't understand why people go to this level it is a lot of work to learn how to really kill people. Medic If I choose to go ALS that is how I am going to do it. If you are looking for a gig where you can build a great pension and make a little more money you should look into NY Dept Of Sanitation. I played paintball with a guy who was in sanitation, and he would bust out his route quickly and get payed for a full 8 hours work after only putting in 4 hours. Here is a story I was sharing with people on another message board, because someone started a thread asking for peoples' life stories. This is a line from the Phish song "Caverns" I think it goes great with this story. My friends and I had gone up to Limestone, Mane to go to a three day concert called "The Great Went." Limestone, Maine is way up there. It is 10 miles away from the US-Canadian Boarder. This place is so obscure that even people in Maine Don't know where it is. Limestone use to be home to Loring Air Force Base which was where the concert was held. Even though it was Augest It was freakin cold due to the fact that it was raining. We set up out tents in the rain that night it was either that or have no place to sleep. When I say it was raining it was really fucking raining. So after we set up our tents it was time to bed down and try to get some sleep. It was too freaking cold to get any real sleep. I woke up shivering at about 0600. After I woke up I tried to get m shoes out of my friends car, but apparently he and his girl friend decided to sleep the night in the car instead of thier tent my shoes were locked up in thier car. I decided to take a walk and warm up anyway. I was walking around barefoot, and I eventually found some people playing hacky sack. I jumped in on that hack circle. Now I was nice and warm. It was about the time for the gates to open for the concert so I made my way to the front of that line. They then opened the gates I moved my way through the security check point with ease, and then I sprinted the half mile to get a good spot close to the stage mind you I was still barefoot at this time. I was near the front when the concert started. There was an increadable energy going on, and there was a really good grove. Durring one of the set breaks I was just chilling sitting in the mud, and then there were these fuckers we decide that they want to worm thier way up to the front even though they didn't deserve it. Those assholes stepped on my feet I was so beat all I could muster out was a tired, "Hey, man!" The rest of the concert was nutty and great, but then it had to come to an end. I was beat as all get out when the concert ended, and started what seemed like an endless treck on my tired worn feet to my tent. I swear it was like a mile and a half of walking on a runway with broken beer bottles till I got to my tent. That night it wasn't that bad a night because it wasn't raining. The next morning I woke up refreshed. I woke up a little later, and was ready to face my day. I got my shoes from my friends car. My friend and his Girl friend woke up before me that day, so it was unlocked. We broke camp and got the call all packed up. We all made our way down to the concert area, and my other friend stuck with me when the gates opened. We both ran together to get close to the stage. It was cool we were just about as close as I was the previous day, and we got to touch a piece of the art (you had to be there). My friend popped off his shoes to relax his feet in the mud. That always feels great. It was about the time the concert was to begin and I tell my friend, "Hey look you better put your shoes back on." His reply was, "It's ok whatever happens, happens." A few minutes after that the first set began, and as soo as it began his shoes were lost. It was another great night of music, and there was an awesome piece of wooden art that was set on fire tword the end of the night. Then the concert ended, and we had to make our treck all the way back to the car, so we could leave. Let me tell you my friend was little sissy because he was bitching all the way back to the car about how much his feet hurt. I said, "I told you to put your shoes back on."
