  1. Those things fry your balls The item was a great watch! JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  2. Fun to see them use my 3D wingsuit model for the landing previz JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  3. The suit there are PIA promo suits from what I get. Designs will probably be finalised before release. S8 is the orange one. Balance seems off (armwings too big in relation to the legwing) Tengu is the red/white suit, seems to resemble a Blade with slightly wider legstance, wings (and no scallops). 5. My excusses to those who PM and mailed more about bad taste and what not... I didnt want to start a new thread, so I did a search for earlier GS1 threads and appended to that. I missed the name of the person who started the thread when I did so. Tonto made a big contribution to this forum, in form of many (over 6000) posts. All of curious, informative and constructive nature. Chances are you will see his name pass here every once in a while when people get back to older threads. My sincere appologies if this naive action on my behalf caused any grief.. Believe me when I say no bad taste or ill intentions where part of doing so... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  6. For those in the Benelux area interested in trying. We have a GS1 in our demo-fleet...drop me a line if you want to give it a try... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  7. Putting the tag of 'first', 'biggest', 'largest', 'fastest' etc on every formation attempt at a boogie, or even just putting people on bigger dives then they should be on, also doesnt help in keeping the pressure low...(lame joke/cheap jab coming) resulting in lots of people doing "ohmm...ohm...ohm" while it could be relaxed and smiling on smaller dives JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  8. Yup...its a shame that such expressions are often taken as an insult or bragging about own skills... But again...couldnt agree more... There's a 25 page pdf file on our FLB website on most of this stuff as well.... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  9. Sorry....my new 30 inch monitor is just too damn big..makes it look like a 1 mm spec in the original pic JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  10. Agree with all these statements...but how is that any different from how it has always been? (granted, not how everyone has been doing it for ages) But its just good old basic RW bigway setup and build, or am I missing something here? Exit stable, dive, find your sector, line up, level, fly into your slot, fly your slot? JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  11. A magnifying glass to see the camo rig would have been nice Great pic..taken from a balloon or smtn? JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  12. When you order a new rig....get it in Camo too JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  13. Dude..that Camo blade is THE most awesome things Ive seen in a long time! ROCK ON! You HAVE to wear a Rambo style bandana when you fly that sucker! JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  14. To us here in Europe it seems like Americans are so busy debating who invented what and who did what first and which DZ or group has better skills, that they completely miss the rest of the world who are doing the same or maybe even more advanced stuff (look at French wingsuit boogies). Not everything organised has a big online presence..but there is more happening then the East Coast/West Coast bitching around which your world seems to revolve Dont think its the overal skill level..but more on an individual basis..people would rather do 20 messy 'big' jumps and learn nothing, instead of focussing more on tight 2 way/3 way 'playfull' jumps, learning the essential skills.. But then again...looking at freefly, who have a 5 to 10 year headstart on us in terms of dicipline/size/skills. Headup jumps..bigger and bigger...people just messing about..then after a few years..back to smaller and smaller jumps...more focus on skills....4 way VRW etc. and now the REAL bigway records are finaly coming (with people who already kicked ass in the tight small stuff) Bigway flocking is the last stop on the ride...not the place to start.. 15. Dude...you guys interested in honorary FlyLikeBrick membership So proud! JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  16. Inspect the suit (rigged) after your first jump, see if the cables are still in place. If they are slighly coming out, you may have to move up or down one tab, so there is no stress on them. And take a picture at work..its manditory.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  17. Really wonder what this statement would be like if it was a DISCOUNT Stealth you where jumping JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  18. Should have also went for different colours bottom and top...so people can spot which side of james they are facing! Looks awesome! JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  19. Great flying! Incredible pictures! The rise in skills and quality in formations flown has really increased dramaticly the past year..I cant wait to see what else 2008 has in store for us! JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  20. Awesome.. Was there also some form of competition in the wingsuit arena, or was it an exebition event? JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  21. Definitely! Though I always do envy the people who can (financialy) get away with the "buy a lot more then you can fly" approach JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  22. It depends on the boogie and how many jumps are made, but jumps usually have a backflying camera, top camera and one or two cool inside views. Thats already 5 to 10 minutes of footage per jump, per group. Jumping with 4 groups this summer, doing 5 to 7 loads per day, thats rougly 2,5 to 3 hours of freefall footage per day (if you want to go through it all to find all the good bits) Jumping 6 or so days..its not uncommon to come back with 5 to 10 hours of footage. Fun to watch when the editing is done...but a whole lot of work.. Give people like Matt Hoover, James B etc. a hug sometimes for the work thats put into making those boogie vids..;) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  23. There is a cameraman flying creative video around each formation, and a (debrief/LO) videoman above of the formation...should be more then enough... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  24. Though tons of advice is possible online, your best bet would be finding someone capable of keeping up with you, and asking him/her to shoot a few frames of video on your flying and body position. That person may be able to already tell you some things about what you are doing right, and what you may need to change or update in your body position. And posting such a video online also gives us 'couch potatoes' a better chance at giving you tips and hints from the comfort of our keyboards.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
