Have you jumped your reserve?
jumperconway replied to bwilling's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I originally had a PD143R no rides. PD demo day at Spaceland, jumped a PD126R very nice great flare. new Javelin RS PD113R jump #489(never forget)Cha-Ching! in the saddle at 1400' followed the freebag about a half mile away, the winds were honkin', stood up the landing 2' from from the freebag. I was the only person on the load that actually had any drive landing!loading 1.64/1. Nacmacfeegle(Dave) followed my main another half mile away and saw it land inside a plant! Next rig I'll have no problem getting a PD106R with my 85 Xaos main. Last life line-PD only for me! -

Hello Sunshine. January 4,02- 28 degrees and the tunnel was rediculously cold! The Russian 4 way team had a 2 hour block and quit after 30 minutes! Take a jacket and thermals just in case. I may be there around the 13th for a private camp. Conway 1085

Hi Julie, I didn't start jumping until I was 39 and had already blown both ACLs! 3 screws,2 knees, only 10% of the cartilage left in my right knee and I jump a Xaos 84 loaded at 2.3/1. I think your love of the sport will get you back up with us! I agree that some good canopy control coaching is all that you need to rebuild your your confidence and land without incidence. I don't jump with any braces but I think that you should consider one. I don't feel that your passion for jumping is going to wane any time soon. Do what you need to get back in the air, you'll be forever glad that you did! Good luck! Blue skies renewed, Conway 1085

poems John woke up one morning with an enormous erection so he turned over to his wife's side of the bed. His wife, Heather, had already awakened though, and she was downstairs preparing breakfast in the kitchen. Afraid that he might spoil things by getting up, John called his little boy into the room and asked him to bring it to his wife. The note read: The Tent Pole Is Up, The Canvas Is Spread, The Hell With Breakfast, Come Back To Bed. Heather answered the note and then asked her son to bring it to her husband. The note read: Take The Tent Pole Down, Put The Canvas Away, The Monkey Had A Hemorrhage, No Circus Today. John read the note and quickly scribbled a reply. Then, he asked his son to bring it to his wife. The note read: The Tent Pole's Still Up, And The Canvas Still Spread, So Drop What You're Doing, And Come Give Me Some Head. Heather answered the note and then asked her son to bring it to her husband. The note read: I'm Sure That Your Pole's The Best In The Land. But I'm Busy Right Now, So Do It By Hand!

Welcome to OUR world. Oh and don't let something little like a dislocated shoulder stop you from jumping! Glad to see that you are going for tunnel training so early in your career! Airspeed Camp? Blue ones, Conway 1079

I have a Xaos 84' loaded at 2.26/1 that is at Prec. getting a reline. It had the dynema lines way out of trim. The openings were always different but rarely twisted up until I accidently unstowed the left brake line twice in one day trying to steer the opening! Talk about totally spun up, it was an OH SHIT opening both times but I was able to stop the spins by grabbing the left rear riser. Last weekend I borrowed an 80 with the Hma lines and the only the only off heading opening I had in 16 jumps in 3 days, I didn't track before pulling! I normally dump in a full track with no problem and soft on heading openings! The horizon view is the most important thing I think. If I watch the opening, it will probably do something weird, but if I just stay parrallel with the horizon, no excitement! I also pull the center cell out a little and push the slider towards the tail to let the center cell inflate first. Works for me anyway. Hope this helps, Con 1079

I test jumped the used gear I bought on jump 12, jumped it about 100 times and ordered a new one from Kate Cooper. Sold that 1st rig for exactly what I paid for it. It does'nt pay to buy new your first rig unless you don't jump much or plan on staying very conservative in downsizing. Blue ones, Con 1079

Christmas Cake Recipe Ingredients: 1 cup of water 1 tsp baking soda 1 cup of sugar 1 tsp salt 1 cup of brown sugar lemon juice 4 large eggs nuts bottle Vodka 2 cups of dried fruit Sample the vodka to check quality. Take a large bowl, check the vodka again. To be sure it is of the highest quality, pour one level cup and drink. Repeat. Turn on the electric mixer. Beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl. Add one teaspoon of sugar. Beat again. At this point it's best to make sure the vodka is shtill OK. Try another cup ... just in case Turn off the mixerer. Break 2 leggs and add to the bowl and chuck in the cup of dried fruit. Pick fruit off floor. Mix on the turner. If the fried druit gets stuck in the beaterers pry it loose with a drewscriver. Sample the vodka to check for tonsisticity. Next, sift two cups of salt. Or something. Who giveshz a shit. Check the vodka. Now shift the lemon juice and strain your nuts. Add one table. Add a spoon of sugar, or somefink. Whatever you can find. Greash the oven. Turn the cake tin 360 degrees and try not to fall over. Don't forget to beat off the turner. Finally, throw the bowl through the window, finish the vodka and kick thecat. CHERRY MISTMAS! Con 1079

Hey Gary, FYI, I am sending my Xaos 84 back for a reline today. Mine was the first production Xaos out. It has dynema (mini-spectra) lines and obviouslly out of trim after well over 500 jumps on it per Chris Martin@ Precision. Over the weekend, I put 16 jumps on a newish 80' with the HMA lines on it and the squirrelly openings I was getting on the 84 disappeared! The 80' opened like a dream on heading and soft but firm. Just my .02. Can't wait to get this one back next Friday. I'll let you know. Blue ones, Conway C 1079

Sorry for the BULLSHIT, I have never jumped a Safire! I was only going on other peoples I know's opinion of the canopy! I do know that the XFire has a ton more flare though than the Safire! That's my 99 Xfire in the picture. C 1067
