Just because he's a pilot doesn't mean he is automatically well-versed in the rules regarding high profile demo jumps. He pretty much showed that in his first post. Glad to see it cancelled before something bad happened. Well that isn't all I'm talking about Billy. Skymama's #2 stalker -

I think the discussion has moved to here regarding the Sabre2 discussion from the incidents. Now I'm not saying a Sabre2 isn't a canopy to be reckoned with, but after over 150 jumps on mine I have to say I am glad I have one. Someone spoke of the off heading openings. I was growing to just accept them at one point in time. However I started to pay a little more attention to my packing, as far as going in the bag goes, and also my body position on opening. When I did this I started to have dead on soft openings. I was like holy crap, bout time. Then the last time I was out she spun me around 360 on my last opening. My fault, my body position was horrible. In my opinion you have to have a good body position upon release of your pilot chute. Then you have to maintain that position throughout deployment, of course you don't stay arched. I think this is true for any canopy. I have never had my Sabre2 spin me violently, or anything near it. I can remember a jump where I was turning on deployment and ended up with many a line twist upon opening. I immediately was like shit!!!, then I noticed like all other times nothing violent was going on, so I grabbed the risers, pulled and kicked and that was that. It has always happened like that for me and this canopy. Others have told me they have the same experience. What is my wingloading you say. I've ranged from 1.1 to max 1.3. I'm not saying students should be flying a Sabre2. I'm just not so sure a Sabre2 is an unforgiving canopy. Only thing I would say is a lower wingloading does not seem to work well with one. That is just my opinion as everything I've written is just that. I'm looking for other opinions about this canopy, from people that have one or have had one. Thanks Skymama's #2 stalker -

So I didn't sign up for a Duathlon, but due to a thunderstorm in the area they had to call the swim portion of the triathlon off. At first i was like sweet. Then I was like no, I don't like this. My knee hurts, I was just hoping to struggle through the run and now I have to run TWICE. Boooooooo. Whatever though, I went to race and so whatever race they threw at me I was going to take. After an hour an a half of rain delay we finally got started. I managed to end up 11th out of 19 in my age group. Looking at the results running twice did not help me. I ran 8 minute miles while the guys in front of me basically ran 7 minute miles. So if you run 6 miles at that, well you get beat by 6 minutes. Thus the reason the race is won in the run usually. So It was a 5k run, 12 mile bike, 5k run. I completed it in 1 hour 26 minutes. Overall i was 86th out of 288 for the triathon participants. Because there was a duathlon being run as well if you group me in with those losers I was 91 out of 327. I have to be happy with it, as during the last run I was able to pass people that had passed me earlier in that run. Not sure if I sped up or they slowed down. I like to think i sped up. I'll post the pictures when I get them. Skymama's #2 stalker -

But of course, people with pro-ratings are perfect and invincible, and never make mistakes. Okay, I'll shut up now, and let the "gloom and doom" folks have their way. Nobody is saying that, but I would think a pro rating would mean the person can at least deal a little better with the situation. I don't think all the people that jumped the fantastic 4 demo had pro ratings, I could be wrong. anyway, like it matters. The poster of this has not answered some important questions. Oh my gosh! Not those non pro-rated guys! Everyone knows they don't know shit from shinola, and couldn't land properly if they had the whole area all to themselves! Ohhh Nooo! It will just take one low # person who wants to show off to his buddies in the stands to make it an experience most would rather not see. It's a valid argument, and the pro rating is there for a reason. Winds around a track can be shaky and low timers could have problems. Skymama's #2 stalker -

ughhh. What I mean is where would the c-130 be for the 9 days if enough interest is given after. Are you the one organizing this?? I hate to say it but you dont' seem put together very well, and you certainly are not making things clear. Thus the reason for many peoples doubt. Where will c-130 be after the race to jump? Where is the actual landing taking place for the race??? at the track, or by the track? Skymama's #2 stalker -

I say good for you. I must have done something wrong as when I emailed them twice I never received a response back. It did make me just try harder and everything worked out, so maybe they just figured I needed to learn myself. I hear nothing but good things about them. Skymama's #2 stalker -

Young skydiver meets old rig

Well anyway, I think I jumped with him once or twice. Good guy. Doesn't surprise me he would jump that rig. Not because I think he is crazy though. I'm sure I'll run into him another time and I'll ask. Skymama's #2 stalker - -
i am seriously disappointed in this community. Journalism like this doesn't happen every day!! And no you can't have your 2-3 minutes of your life back!!! mwuahahahahahahah Skymama's #2 stalker -
