  1. As a gear dealer, we simply cannot risk holding a check until the customer has received the canopy. In fact, we don't usually ship the canopy until their payment has cleared. We've seen our share of bad/forged checks and money orders to not fall for that. But then we have the advantage of being a gear store with a physical location at a large DZ that people can come to and beat our asses if we rip them off. For private sellers and buyers, I'd suck up the percentage cost and use an online escrow... especially if it was a really expensive item. And I feel the rage on the ridiculous picture requests. Oh, hello again!
  2. My team is getting some beta versions to test out this week. I'm pretty excited about them since we've had so many reliability problems with other digitals in the past. I'll see if I can't remember to come back and post what we think about them. Oh, hello again!
  3. You mean when someone replies to a legitimate post pertaining to the subject of discussion with something like this? Just checking. Oh, hello again!
  4. And none of the weight you gained could have been limited or lost by exercising to burn off what your body was trying to store? I never said it was easy and never accused people of being lazy. I'm still waiting for a valid explanation of how someone gains weight while burning more "food" than they consume. Oh, hello again!
  5. You know, I didn't have a problem with the last "misunderstanding", but now I can see that you're just trying to piss people off. What is your problem, dude? Are you incapable of having people disagree with you? Are you implying that someone who, on a regular basis, eats 3,000 calories worth of food can still gain weight if they burn 6,000 calories per day, regardless of their metabolism or any other disorders? Just insult me and my intelligence again, though. I'm sure it'll make you feel good about something. Oh, hello again!
  6. My "dumbass" tone, as you put it... was not implied from my side (I should know, I wrote it), it was inferred by him and evidently you. Asking someone to re-read a post because you think they might have missed something does not mean you think they're a dumbass. If you have any future concerns that someone thinks someone might be a dumbass, best to ask them first... then get indignant about it if they say yes. Even if asked in a PM, I would have said no. Reading that much into a single sentence with no wierd smileys, emphatic punctuation, or text effects seems a bit of a stretch to me... but hey, I'm the insensitive one here I guess. Oh, hello again!
  7. Because it seems many people (here and people I've had this discussion with before) STILL don't get the fact that diet and excercise can be blamed for ALL obesity. The fact that other ailments play in by having increased fat/water retention is irrelevant. Burn more than you consume, lose weight. Some people may have to work harder if they want to look like a model. Some people don't give a shit and just get fat. Oh, hello again!
  8. See my post above. Even with varying metabolisms, can we gain more weight than we consume? Can we gain weight when we burn more calories than we consume? As you say, IF someone has a less efficient system due to low activity, disease, hormones, etc... AND they want to stay within their "healthy" weight limits, then they need to account for their individual metabolisms. Notice, nowhere did I say that we should all look like fitness instructors. Oh, hello again!
  9. You never were in the first place. Glad you came back to discuss though. But Xlbs consumed (water, food) cannot result in X+2lbs gained. While what you're saying is true, it does not exclude the fact that we can't gain more than we consume. Oh, hello again!
  10. Then YES, it was awesome. There are many great places to get drunk, however... the soccer stadium being one of my favorites! Oh, hello again!
  11. Point taken. Of course, if we all require similar amounts of air to metabolize similar amounts of food, wouldn't the point be moot? Oh, hello again!
  12. I have no idea what that is. My capacity for learning Danish was diminished by beer. But if that stuff is beer, then yes... I liked it! Oh, hello again!
  13. About nine, but that does that happen in the body to an extent that it'd cause significant weight gain? Hell, if that was true... why would we need to drink anything ever?? Our bodies would just convert the hydrogen in the air and in our food to water... as long as we were breathing, that is. And if this DOES cause significant weight gain, which I still doubt, why haven't we heard about it? Oh, hello again!
  14. And they absolutely should not apoligize. In fact, I think the people of Denmark and the newspaper should demand an apology from the muslim countries throwing a fit. Just to say "fuck you". Let's hope that they don't! I was a big fan of Denmark after visiting Aalborg, now I'm an even bigger fan! Oh, hello again!
  15. Thanks. It's not as bad as I thought, but poor Clinton is "appalled" by the cartoons. Let's just hope he still beleives in the newspapers' rights to publish whatever they want. Any you're right, remwha, he should have just said that Denmark is a free country where government does not control their press. Any issues should be directed to the paper's editorial pages. It's sad to see that some of the Danish businesses now appear to be catering to the whiners. It'd be nice if some country somewhere stood up to this kind of crap with a unified front. I regret that the US will probably never be the country to do it, but I have hopes that someone eventually will! Oh, hello again!
  16. But it later states this: Oh, hello again!
  17. Where'd he say that? If he said that, then he's more of a jack-off than I ever thought. I think Denmark's PM is RIGHT-ON here and I really respect his response to all the nonsensical whining. Good on Denmark! Oh, hello again!
  18. Dude, do you have some chip on your shoulder or what? Where did I imply that I thought you were a simpleton or stupid? You should calm down. I think the 2 posts (mine and remhwa's) explained enough about what I meant. Argue that with me if you want, but you should really avoid thinking that because I think you're wrong that I also think you're stupid... unless you really do want to just have a Jerry Springer-style argument. Oh, hello again!
  19. If you look closely, you'll see that I said "2lbs of food and drink." If you ate those 2lbs, and they caused you to gain 2lbs, but also triggered some kind of effect like you mentioned... then you'd gain 2lbs more because you drank 2lbs of water... you're still only gaining what you consume. Unless that oxygen thing is legit... And as far as obese people being healthy... I guess they could be... but they still have to have their heart cover more ground to pump blood to all that tissue. Oh, hello again!
  20. I need to see something that proves that this oxygen effect is significant, or even real to begin with. It seems pretty improbably that, if this phenomenon exists, that it would contribute greatly to one's weight. People are all dealt different hands. If you're slower at burning calories... you just gotta work more if you want to be "in shape". Regardless of the reasons for someone's obesity, they should get it in check because it is always unhealthy. Oh, hello again!
  21. NOW my quote makes sense! Hey, maybe this will turn out good for Denmark... you might not get as many immigrants in the future! Especially since some are quoted in the article as saying, "This type of democracy is worthless for Muslims." Perhaps more Muslims will migrate to Saudi Arabia because they're a "better" Muslim country. It's also "funny", in a strange, sad, and ironic way that, after cartoons depicting Mohammed as a terrorists ran in the paper you see this: Oh, hello again!
  22. If you ate 2lbs of food and drink, could you gain more than 2lbs? If you burned all the calories associated with your 2lb meal, could you gain weight? Oh, hello again!
  23. You'd have to work that out with Mexico since they're currently in the process of taking it back. Oh, hello again!
  24. Yes, damn the bastards that voted for Saddam, Stalin, Mao, Quaddafi... BASTARDS! That makes as much sense as calling Chavez a democratically elected leader. My advice on that subject... talk to people from the country. Then find another example. And hey, if the Palestinians want to elect Hamas and Hamas continues their ways... at least we can blame the people, right. Makes it easier for the Israelis to deal with them in defense. Oh, hello again!
