  1. Actually, I think it was a plant. This is what really happened.......Monica wanted to be famous and she was told indirectly by the housekeeper's cousin's girlfriend's boyfriend's sister that Ms. Rodham wanted another child but didn't want to play romper room with "you-know-who" so she made him go to the dump I mean bank to give his "donation" to be used at a later date. Well when Monica learned of this she had one of her boyfriends in the CIA go on a recon mission at the "bank" to recover the vile of "hazerdous waste" and then she proceeded to microwave her dinner. In removing her dinner, she spilled some of the "hazerdous waste" on her dress which she then tried to get off with a bit of selzer. In all frustration she hung the dress in the closet to be taken to the cleaners later, and sat down to smoke a cigar......That's the true story as reported by Rodham' housekeeper's....... 4. I repeat..I am NOT advocating one way or the other. As to pool...as an upper level judgel judge with a lifgaurd trainer cert, I have seen serious bodily harm, as well as death. This however is not the topic, and I choose not to be argumentative. I did however, ask a few people in Eloy a few minutes ago what their thoughts were. The response was a resounding affermative. Their choice and I respect it. I am well aware of the quality of skydivers that participate in these forums, and it was not my intent to say that they are anything less than what they are (not sure where that was derived from) True other sport courses can be made safer unlike skydiving; and although I may be reaching here......Nascar courses are all designed with safety at the forefront, granted not an Olympic sport, but people die there too, as they do in skiing, snowboarding etc. I guess it comes down to this....those that want to participate at that level should do so with the support of its members. It really is all about choice. Cheers It only takes a little pixie dust......

  7. Thank you for the correction but I was referring to the national governing body, not international . Synchronized Swimming early 1980's. Right up there with ping pong. Ever hear of shallow water blackouts? Parking lot drownings? Spin disorientation? Those were concerns voiced and death was a consideration in this sport as well. Now before the OTC is the addition of a new event the "combo routine". The International governing body for this and all water sports is FINA. The national body being USSSI Kyaking had some concerns as well as snowboarding and the list goes on.......all run the risk of "personal bodily harm". I am not advocating one way or the other, just pointing out a few of the pros and cons. As to the decisions such as these, perhaps they would be better left up to the "world champions" of skydiving. Cheers It only takes a little pixie dust......
  8. Well in some folks opinion it doesn't belong in the Olympics, while others are advocating it. Like it or not, it is before the O.I.C. and the O.T.C Like other sports the regulation comes from the governing body. I believe that would be USPA would it not? And are WE not USPA? Additionally, there are a few positives that could go along. First recognizing Skydiving as a deciplined sport. Follwed by endorsements, sponsorships, elite status for our athletes. With that comes responsibility on our part to educate the public. Yes presenting ourselves as well honed athletes rather than anomolies, and abiding by certain rules of the OIC (such as drug testing). I have watched the evolution of another sport into the Olympics when it was said it shouldn't be done. It has turned out to be a positive thing in many American's lives. Is skydiving so different and what makes us so special as not to be considered? That sounds fairly arrogant to me (IMHO). It only takes a little pixie dust......

  15. A couple of things.......the cessna was carrying tandems according to sources in Eloy. Clipped the wing of the porter. Lots of rumors flying about the ascent and decent of the planes and thier proximity. I choose to wait for the facts. I have seen many pilots wearing rigs, maybe diverdriver could help us out on that one. Again my prayers and condolences to the family of the lost pilot. Just a thought folks.....remember to say thanks to your jump pilot next time you see him/her. They really don't get to hear those words very often. Cheers. B It only takes a little pixie dust......
