My very first experience was in Miami with a friend of mine, he being an accomplished freeflyer. I decided to go tandem with this nice fellow, but was extremely nervous. My friend received permission to ehemmmm sit fly around us in freefall and take photos. Well guess what? My eyes were closed the entire freefall..Hell I was scared to pieces! once the canopy opened though my oh my what a sight to behold. As soon as I got to the ground I manifested again since technically the first one didn't count! I've been skydiving ever since. I have wanted to skydive since I was 15, it just took me a lot of years to be in a place to actually fulfill that dream. Congradulations and I hope someday we can all grace the skies together.....Blue skies and safe landings. It only takes a little pixie dust......

Hummmmm I might be wrong here but......I think that flying planes into buildings is a bit different than the hand gun issue. Furthermore, the violence rate in 2001 was the lowest it has been since the early 1900's. There is no doubt that we have a real crime problem here in the U.S. no one disputes that. But I find it more than just a little insulting to categorize the death of over 3,000 of our American citizens as "merely inflaming". All of us were touched in some way by this horrific event. perhaps if you don't live here, you may not understand how we feel. Again I would say that I am proud to be an American where at least I know I'm free. Freedom of speech,press, religion, the right to bear arms, to choose, with liberty and justice for all...... Pammi~ So well put! Knowledge equals power, but unfortunetly what is lacking in all forums such as this is "nuance". I am all for people expressing their opinion, it is their perfect right, just as it is mine and yours. We are all fortunate to have a place such as this to express these opinions. As you stated so elequently, we will all make up our own minds anyway. It sure is nice though to hear different views on many subjects, so that we can make a more informed decision. Perhaps even see things in a way that we haven't thought of before. As to the "unpopular" folks...well as far as I am concerned EVERYONE is a friend until they prove otherwise. Peace Out sista! The DZ in Oregon is 18 miles from my house waaaaaay in the country so it takes about 30+ minutes. The house I am going to rent in Arizona is about 2 minutes. Oh yeah! God I'm getting old......some things that I have learned thus far. 1. We don't have to change friends if we understand that friends change. 2. No matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt you once in awhile and you must forgive them for that. 3. True friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance. Same goes for true love. 4. You can do something in an instand that will give you heartache for life. 5. It's taking a long time to become the person I want to be. 6. I don't think that there is "smoker hating" happening here. I would agree that perhaps it would do well for smokers to be a bit more courteous to non-smokers and vice- versa. It truly is all about respect or the lack thereof. Peace It only takes a little pixie dust......
