I too enjoyd the quick ride to altitude in the Perris DC-3. The entire weekend was a blast, Good friends, good jumps, good fun. Although the DC in Planet Eloy isn't as quick, if you haven't experineced one you are in for a treat! I hope that everyone feels as welcome in Eloy as we were in Perris. Thanks again Jak!!! Cheers!! Was this the intent of the talk back forum? If so then I have sorely abused it. I thought it was a place for people to hang. Let's face it, if we didnt have this venue many of us would never have met, and gatherings such as those in Perris. Eloy and others would probably have never taken place. I agree with the poll....it was from the onset abused...that's part of the reason we are moderated. We can seem to police ourselves, unfortunate, but true none the less. B^2

Hey Nate ya big baby!!! I have several ummm trophies(scars are dude magnets too) on my left knee......if I know I'm gonna have a hard landing I generally try to take it on that knee cuz it doesn't have any feeling on the left side of it anyway. The temperatures drop to freezing here in the desert at night. You will need a warm sleeping bag and whatever you deem appropriate. The mornings are cool at altitude. We generally wear a tutle neck, gloves and a neck warmer in addition to hats under our gear. You have to remember tho that 70 is cold to us desert rats You are looking at lows in the 30s and highs of 75-85. Hope that helps! B^2

Oh boy.........!! Ok everyone here is a reminder....please read carefully. 1.No fly zone 500 ft over runway and all buldings ( we had issue today with this) 2. You may only land east or west on the main landing area (first person down sets pattern) If you choose not to follow pattern you must land off the main area. Infractions will have you landing at alt area. (Had issues with this today as well) 3. You may land into the wind at the alternate area, but again you must follow the pattern set by the first person or land off in the desert. We had an incident today where visitors set a downwind pattern and everyone followed suit....save one.....I landed in the desert into the wind) Um I don't like owies!!
