This sounds fun.....does it have to be raining to try this or can we do it anytime while drunk??
-
Jessica, I've done that...FUN. It helps that he is in his prime and so am I...WAHOO. Mouth
-
OMG...I don't know when I have laughed so hard. I just interrupted the test I am giving laughing . My students all want to know what is so funny. I am trying really hard to control myself but it is difficult. You all are wonderful..... Mouth
-
Slappie, If I could find a man that could pass all those classes I would marry him, and we should all know how I feel about relationships. Mouth
-
Wingie I used to like you but now you just suck. I an so green with envy. Take lots of pics and post them ASAP. I flew the F14 simulator in VA once and got sick doing that, so good luck. When exactly are you doing it so we can think of you and all be jealous it isn't us up there? Have fun and be safe.

Suprise her with a tandem and spend one day jumping. Just don't tell her in advance or she may not want to go. And no, you are not sick just altitude deprived. Mouth

Remi, I keep telling him to pull higher but he swears he was in the saddle by 1500. I have a protrack so it tells me when I'm there...period. I have a goal to be in the saddle by 1800 which means I pull no later than 2500 or before if possible. I shoot for 3000. I watched Watcher pull it low once Saturday again and it almost scared me to death. I even got in the car and went looking for him thinking he was dead somewhere. He did a big way later in the day and they all pulled low....I'm sorry but it scares me. EVERYBODY pull higher as it is lower than you think. Give yourself time to deal with any situation. I for one want you all here years from now...Newbies or Old Timers. My sermon for the day. I'm sure someone will flame me saying they always pull at whatever altitude...so be it. I'm being a "Mother" I guess sorry. That is what I do in real life. Mouth

I am in no way EXPERIENCED. I KNOW there is so much I don't know nor will I ever know it, but I agree it is such a good feeling to make eye contact with someone on the plane who is nervous and smile at them or touch them in some way. I think it reassures them but also grounds you in that you realize the magnitude of what you are about to do. Yes, we really do amazing stuff every time we jump. I find we have lots of rituals that take place before the door opens. These build a sense of belonging and also focus everyone to the task at hand. Good job sharing the love everyone. Clay...I'm glad someone besides me misses Jon saying that. It has become a habit just from jumping with him. Glad to know you are following in his footsteps as a reminder to us all. Thanks... Blue Skies and Happy Landings, Lisa

So, what about Zen attracts you??
-
Well, Zennie can start by telling us about his name. I've read it but it has been a long time and I am way to lazy to look through old threads just for the heck of it. There are lots of new folks who probably wonder so here is your chance.
-
Cool site Justin....sorry I had no advice to give you, but trust me, you don't want my computer advice as it generally contains violence and a shoe. The pics were wonderful as was Jennifer's description of her first jump. I think it is wonderful that you suprised her with the jump. What a great guy. Keep us updated on what you guys are doing and post lots of pics...I'm a visual learner.

Watcher, I know you are lurking so I know you are reading this. The jump in Deland could have been your last if I had been pulled just a little higher up on your neck instead of the top of your rig. Imagine how i would have felt since I was the one who hit you even though it wasn't my fault. None of us are invincible. Please take this post into serious consideration and get an AAD soon. It isn't there as a daily use piece of equipment but you my need it any day you jump. Dove....what did the DR say this morning??? Mouth
-
Marc...other things were more important at the time. We'll catch you next time!! West Coasters we should try for another record while I am out there.....
-
I have to agree with the previous posts...BIG DEAL. You have done something that we understand but very few others do, thus we are proud of you. I am very proud of the landing as I never stood one up while on student status...Keep up the good work and keep us posted. Blue Skies and Happy Landings, Lisa

Albi...I've already got my ticket. Depart ATL on Dec 21st and hang out until the 24th. No sleep will be necessary while I am there!! I am excited. Give me some ideas of stuff to do so I can research everything before I come. Michele has my itinerary and agreed to get me at the airport and sorta babysit me but heck I think everyone out there should meet me at the airport so we can begin our celebration early. Seriously ya'll plan on everyone doing some fun stuff while I'm there. BTW guys we had a 5 way at Deland in Aug so watch whose toes you step on. All DZ.comers. 5 of us and no points turned ... LOL!!!
-
Oh well, I guess you can't have everything. Plan on having some sort of entertainment if we can't jump. I haven't been to LA in a long time (since the day before the big earthquake) so I would love to look around even if I can't jump.....but i REALLLLLLLLYYYYYYY want to jump.
-
Guys, could you possible request a little cooler for my visit in December? I'm tired of over 100 with 100% humidity. Lisa
-
I'm so glad you walked away with just the injuries described. It could have been much worse as I am sure you realize. Take it easy and heal properly. I'm glad to hear about your Pro Track as I really love mine too. It is good they took care of you. I'm curious if you have an AAD? Did anyone chase you?
-
Congrats Slappie....I'm proud of you. Keep it up.
-
Another beautiful tale, Michele. I am so glad you Hop and Pop went well and you really didn't land in the trees. Thanks for sharing. I can't wait until we can jump together....
-
Mike... Webb, did the mods on my rig and on Mama's rig Please do think of something fun for us to do as I'll be in need of some entertainment by then. Sis....we can arrange to have you picked up at the airport if you let us know
-
Bill, That was such a nice post. I am sure Valerie really aprrecitates the time and effort you put into teaching her some needed basics. I guess I take for granted that Doug G from Nemesis is at our DZ and willing to jump and organize on every load that the team is not practicing. He has signed his share of Falcon and Eagle awards since I started jumping with him. It is really great that such talented jumpers will take the time to do drill dives with low time jumpers. Keep it up. Lisa

I've got the dolphin thing unless we kill it in the pool between now and then, in which case I'll have a patched dolphin. HUM, any other ideas for crazy stuff to do??? I'm trying to talk Tim W. into coming up from there too. Maybe you all need to pile in Mama's van and head up together.

I hate having to wait until November to see or meet all of you. I am already sick for that Friday. Come on all the rest of you need to plan on being here too. Road Trip or Plane Trip just please don't trip and fall. ATLANTA...Nov 1-4 WAHOO Mouth

Bring her on, we'll look after her.
