    You're kidding right? Iraq is far worse off today than when under Saddam. The vote was a joke. A purple finger? Symbolism does not make a democracy. It is a civil war and there is nothing that the US can do about it. Do you honestly believe that the Iraqi people are praising Allah that GWB invaded their country and started the ball rolling that crushed their homes, knocked out their electricity, killed near half a million people. blew arms and legs off of their children, encouraged terrorist to come to their country, created a civil war and any number of other atrocities that they now have to live with? If you are so happy for this war, why are you not there? I am sure that the Iraqis will welcome you with open arms Although I disagree with Professor Kallend, his arguements have substance.     I'm curious, what is a continuous enlistment of Iraqi young men to the Iraqi National Army and police forces working side by side with coalition forces?? What too I ask would we call millions of Iraqi citizens with purple fingers (many of them women) on more than one occasion, VOTING for the first time in their life??? I would call it Iraqi people wanting to be liberated from tyranny! Give these people a chance John, it's not like they've had much practice with the luxury of Democracy and a Representative Republic.     I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on why black players are the majority in the NFL and NBA. Because the teams want to win. Perhaps there will be a day when we see well paid, black NFL players that purchase their own teams and become owners, if that is something they wish to pursue.     I hope no one takes this the wrong way so here we go...... I think it's important to recognize any person for a first time accomplishment regardless of what the event may be. I also think it's important to recognize first time accomplishments from minorities so long as it's not blown up to the point where it gives the appearance of under minding minorities' intelligence and their abilities. I wouldn't want to give the "handicap" impression against minorities. Does that make sense or is someone going to twist that up? Does anyone else find it funny that we made a SPORT out of an EMERGENCY PROCEDURE?!?!
