    The consequences would be horrible. I am a Reagan conservative for most of my life, meaning I don't believe in big government and I believe that we should never try to erase or forget the principles that this country was founded on. Objectively speaking I believe that this current administration made mistakes in the Iraq war, but the current "peace" rallies are far from peace. An immediate withdraw from Iraq would only lead to an influx of massive murder against innocent Iraqis who want a democratic free form of government by the Islamic radicalists who believe in oppression and tyrany. I encourage responses to this topic as I think we need to hold both parties in Washington accountable to find a SOLUTION, not continuous "finger pointing" Never forget the government is accountable to us "we the people" not the people accountable to the government. Does anyone else find it funny that we made a SPORT out of an EMERGENCY PROCEDURE?!?!

    What you are doing is the best thing for yourself. I am still new to the sport in my opinion and did the same research on every possible malfunction before I suited up for AFF level 1. Safety is paramount and I hope you always feel comfortable to ask anyone safety questions. Bravo Zulu to you!!!! Does anyone else find it funny that we made a SPORT out of an EMERGENCY PROCEDURE?!?!

    Very nice article... I sent this to a friend of mine who planned to quit jumping for every reason you listed. He has 9 years experience, 5000 jumps, and lost his heart for the sport because the downturn is causing other skydivers to quit who are good, experienced, willing to teach, and who dont' have the "snob" element within them. Thank you for your article as I am hoping to change his mind with it. Does anyone else find it funny that we made a SPORT out of an EMERGENCY PROCEDURE?!?!

    Is there any way we can find out who they are?? Perhaps we could somehow start a donation fund on their behalf to help them with hotel expenses, etc.... I'm going to check with the Moderators to see if we can start such thread once we find out who they are and then see how we can designate someone to be the "escrow" for it.     Student gear is way different then your own simply from a comfort stand point. What ever your instructors advise you on, I'm sure you will be happy. It's like going from a Minivan to a Audi. Gear which fits your build will make a huge difference. Does anyone else find it funny that we made a SPORT out of an EMERGENCY PROCEDURE?!?!

    Glad to see everyone is fine so far at the DZs.... Shame for the peeps that lost their lives in that storm. Anyone see that topic on any news channel regarding how fast the twisters formed?     What kind of effects would that have on F111 or Zpo? I'm familiar with PD680 solvent for dry cleaning but that's been known to kill nylon. Not sure if they have the same properties which is why I ask. If you've used it then I will pick some up for myself if it works good.     Welcome to the last sport you will ever need my friend!!! Remember that safety is paramount and dont be afraid to ask for advice from veteran skydivers. I've always felt I could get a straight answer from people who know much more then I do on this forum. If you dont know the answer to anything..... ASK, ASK, ASK.... There are people here who have more then 1000 jumps under their belt and can help you if you need anything. It's worked for me. Stay Safe!!!     Best thing you can do for that is use Woolite. Just enough to get the oil broken up. It's the only thing I know that is gentle on Nylon. I had to use it on my rig once and it worked like a champ. I wasnt' rinsing forever and it didn't hurt the material at all. Just soak the canopy in the bath tub with a couple capfulls of Woolite and gentley massage the material. I was recommended Woolite on rigs and canopies by two different master riggors in Florida. I can't imagine you can't use it on F-111 but check with your local paraloft anyway. Hope that helps. Does anyone else find it funny that we made a SPORT out of an EMERGENCY PROCEDURE?!?!
