    i had an all black canopy years ago. faded to a charcoal, plus the odd time i packed outside, it was super hot tolay on. i was also told it was hard to see in the air by other canopies

    it takes WAY less time to reach into your pocket for a fiver!. your openings would probably be better as well.[snicker]

    that`s what packers are for! it is also nice to tip when you know it is gonna be a bitch to pack-[new stuff] . after a hundred or so jumps it will be WAY easier to pack. plus you will be used to it. it is usually a better pack after a jump as well, cause you need to get it done faster than 45 min or you won`t jump much

    in the last 800 jumps, my rig has been packed less than 10 times by some one else. most of them have been ball breakers. i have never asked or paid for a main packjob by someone else. those few were done without me really wanting it done. i love it that people pay me to pack tho.....and yes, i have done a lot for free as well

    try a different dz.maybe go less often and go to more boogies.sometimes it is the other people around that are making you drag your sorry i am bored with skydiving ass around.try a different canopy. sounds like you need a new spark. do a naked jump, a night naked jump-just do something to lite that flame under your ass!

    tell jackass to get his fat ass to the gym. he should be on a cross braced canopy. he is a high performance lander, so he should get a wing suited for that...tell him to get a new harness as well....

    even if you did stitch pick it off, it as probably faded, so there will still be a different color patch there

    sounds like your 'friend' is a jackass! he/she will probably fit right in with all of us. as for you- good going on the tunnel.hang in there and show all of them that you can skydive! we all have bad jumps or days out at the dz. i can tell you that skydiving is fun, even when it sucks!

    i had problems with my sabre 120. opened hard. it is old and might need a new lineset. i called pd and they sent a new bigger slider to me. problem solved! soft , slow openings now

    did it a few years ago with the door off. just get super small and sort of do a front roll as you squeeze out the door.the tail is kinda close and low, so try not to expose yourself to the wind too much untill you get away from the plane

    flourescent yellow with a black cell on one side. very visible from the sky and the ground.plus yellow is my fave color. grey is a hard color to see in the fall, it blends with the ground a bit. black is a hot canopy to pack if you are not under cover

    i am considering taking a job on a DZ. live there, work,, instruct, pack, etc. any advice out there?

    i have seen instructors chase a number of students away from the sport.although there is no real way of knowing if they would have stuck with the sport if they had not been a couple. it is a bit sleazy to use an instructor position to try to pick up chicks!

    i sent $ from canada to the states by western union. it was a bit pricey to send, but it was there instantly. as soon as the dude got the $, he shipped my stuff. if it is going across an international border, watch out how it is labeled and insured or you will get hosed on duties and taxes.my friend did it a different way and it took FOREVER to get the check cleared- 3 weeks

    i am 6`2 and 165 lbs i have had 2 javs- both c-17. one older and one with an articulated harness. they fit great i have jumped a jav with a c-16, still fit good the dude that owned that one was 5`6 and 175
