Ok, I am one of those that likes boobs of all sizes and shapes, but for my favorite I have to go the bias way and say my vote goes to Mrs. Azurerider, expecially seeing that after I told her nobody was posting anymore boobie shots, she flashed me with this one

KJ, You told me that if anything went wrong just relax and arch. It worked for me, you should give it a try. haha

Just forwarding this on. Mike and Leanne or obviously glad to be open this weekend and passing on the joy. I am sure they would appreciate any support they could get.

An email sent out from Gold Coast. They are obviously happy to be open this weekend and could use all the support that any of you could give them -
Any news on Moss Points court hearing?
azureriders replied to mirage62's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I dont think it was that big a deal that she made us leave. We were in a T-Building aprox 24'x24', bathroom in the corner, judge behind a fold out table, two parties behind there tables, 3 members of the airport board and 20plus skydivers in fold out chairs. The room was crowded, and mostly skydivers. Now don't anyone go and miss read this, there was not the first word spoken out of line by any of use and things were pretty quiet, but the judge and bailiff were obviously nervous of the crowd. There was very little litigation, then a recess, then the judge came back but asked the two councels to step outside for a moment, maybe 5 min later they all came in, asked us (and the three board members) to leave and continued with the agreement that must have started outside. PLEASE understand that I don't know anymore details and dont want to be spreading "I thinks" so I will leave it at that, but I don't think (damn, did it anyway) that us haveing to leave was a real big deal, more the judge being nervous. To those who may be wondering why court was held in such an inadequate building outside the actual court house where the judge may have felt nervous and insecure, think *KATRINA* -

I was at the hearing. Gold Coast will be open this weekend due to some agreement that came between the parties envolved after the judge asked that the court room be cleared so we did not get to hear any details. All i know is that we will be jumping this weekend and afterwards is still up in the air. I strongly sugest reading Mikes post on http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/rworg so that details are not second hand -
My mom, who loves white water rafting, has performed stunts on water skies that I could only dream of and has spent countless hours on horse back, thinks I am crazy for skydiving. Ofcourse she also thinks that I am crazy for the things that I do on water and totally insane for the things that I do on horseback, go figure. step dad says no way, but works for General Aviation inc. and is amazed at how a canopy creates lift in the same way as any other wing. Pops (dad) on the other hand would love to have the chance to jump if only his knees would allow. step mom says no way, but offers no reistance.

77% (Dixie). Your neck must be at least pink! Born and raised in south Louisiana and have never traveled north of the mason dixon line not even once, so I say this test is only 77% conclusive. Ya'll have a good one.....translation: you all have a good day

I just got off the phone with Mike Igo who told me that he was on the losing end of a court order this morning which closed his DZ down for the moment. For those who are not familiar with the Gold Coast vs Trent Lott air port problems a search here will bring up some news from a few weeks back. Mike told me that he will be posting some details to http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/rworg Those of you who know Mike and Lea Ann know how great they are and how awesome their DZ is/was. I hope they are able to get back up and jumping soon.

Sounds good to me. The wife jumps all she wants and I get to jump twice as much, my ticket money and hers and everybody wins

and its also a requirement to get your A license

I dont know from experience, but if not then the old saying "may the fleas of a thousand camels infest your testicles" would have very little meaning

What are the requirements for being an asshole?
azureriders replied to SudsyFist's topic in The Bonfire
There are only four types of people in the world: Idiots - Some one with an IQ of 25 or less Morons - Someone who has difficulty in carrying out usual social functions Assholes - Needs no further explaination Hermits - Someone who chooses to have little or no contact with other people The only way to become an Asshole is to live in a world of Idiots and Morons without becoming a Hermit The only way not to be an Asshole is to be either an Idiot, a Moron, or a Hermit If you do not in some way see my point then you are not an Asshole and probably not a Hermit If you do see my point and frequent DZ.com as well as your local DZ then I would think it is safe to say that you are not a Hermit and meet the requirements of being an Asshole -
My second landing ever was made with a broken A line. It was on the right hand side of the center cell of a manta 288 loaded close to 1 to 1. During free fall, directly following my first ever release, I went into a flat spin which my instructor knocked me out of momentarily. Just long enough for me to deploy the PC. Had a very hard opening, and a built in left turn under canopy, but nothing extreme. I had a very long time, in the saddle by 10,00ft, to be cautious and docile but had a uneventful, although on my ass landing

I won't begin to try to answer the grounding question with my jump numbers, and I will not give my say that people who do not know their gear should not skydive (I got taken the wrong way the last time I said that) But what gets me is how anyone who is takeing their own life in their hand can be any thing other than proactive in their training. I believe that you (as a student) should only take the advise of your instructors and any other advise should be passed by your instructors. Don't take lessons from a 50 jump wonder etc etc, we all know that drill. Now, does that mean that I trust my Instructor to teach me everything I need to know to save my life and know for a fact that he will not forget something or maybe just this once mix his words up? HELL NO I am going to talk to the other Instructors around, to the DZO (which in my case is a very experience jumper), to the people on DZ.com, read manufacturer web sites, and even talk to a few 50 jump wonders and make sure that I got this shit. and of course if I find something that MY instrucor so called missed I am going to bring it straight to him before I practice it. This is my life we are talking about, and I can't understand how anyone would handle this any other way, and yes, before you say it, I know that they do. Just an example: In my FJC when I was told to perform my first gear check I went over all the points that I was told to and noticed something funny about the 3ring. I asked the instructor why the loop was double ended and there were two yellow cords for each riser. Then as he was studering and mumbling I realized the extra set of cutaway cables was connected to silver. "Damn, if you pull the reserve without cutting away first this rig will still cut the main" The coach giving the class told me that students were not supposed to be made aware of this and that in the 5or so years he had been teaching the course no student had ever caught it. I am in no way claiming to be special or smart, I just could not believe that I was the first and he could not believe that I knew how a 3ring worked before I got to his class. Once again, this is my life, how could I not be proactive enough to know these things? It's beyond me

Suggested opening direction for hop'n'pop(subterminal)?
azureriders replied to phoenixlpr's topic in Safety and Training
Is this realy that big of a problem. In my FJC I was taught that a PC over the front is NOT a malfunction and NOTHING to worry about. "has happened to me several times" was what my coach said. I think if I had this happen that I would keep a very close eye on it until my hard deck (and even after for what good it would do) but my question, without intent to further highjack this thread, is how big a deal is a PC over the front? -
It may be long, but please read, I have been where you are at and I dropped school. Just my experience Stay in school, it is the logical answer. Now with that said, I dropped out of college in my third semester. I worked for a few more months and then opened my own business at the age of 20. That was 12yrs ago, I still love my work and make more $ than 'most' of my college friends. I hated college life more than anyone you have ever met and I do not regret quitting because I hated that part of my life. Now, when sitting at a business metting with 10 other business owners all talking about where they got their 'first' degree, they are amazed at my ability to not only stay afloat, but be competitive in the business world with no degree. You do not have to have a college education to make it in this world, but it is still the logical thing to do. Its only four years of you life. The reward is something that nobody can take from you. It may just give you what you need to fall back on. Everybody here keeps saying to get a degree and jump off the money you make with it. I say get a degree and put it in your pocket, go do the things you love and if you can make it doing these things why would you consider doing anything else. If you learn that you can not make it or if you get injured, then pull out that degree and go from there. Now some will tell you that a college degree must stay current just like a USPA license, if you stay out of the field too long you can't get a job with the degree anyway. This is not totally true. Talk to your advisors and they will help you find a major that you can sit on for a while and still find a job. Also, people with college degrees are biased and say that is the only way to go. Well how do they know, they have never went any other way. Just because they felt insecure about making it with out a degree doesn't mean that you can not make it. Although a degree is probably the safest route. This is kind of like investments. You have low risk investments that will almost always provide a yield, although it will most likely be a small yield. Then you have high risk investments that have risk of no yield at all but also a chance of a very high yield. Investment firms teach us to invest enough of our money to retire on in low risk funds so that we will atleast be able to retire. After that it is wise to invest some money into higher risk funds in the hope that they will pay off big and we can retire wealthy, but if not we still have those low risks to fall back on. Your life is the same. Get your degree first, that is your low risk. Then go do the things you love. You will enjoy life like most can only dream and you may even make more money, but if not, you can always fall back. Ask around and you will be amazed at how many college grads get up every morning strike off to a job they don't like just to make that secure money that mom and dad said they had to have to exist, but the amazing part comes when you see how many of them work for some high school drop out that loves life. Conclusion: 1) get a degree 2) do what you love to do and let no one stop you 3) have the degree to fall back on After reading this post I hope anyone can see that I dont think a degree is a MUST in life nor do I regret quitting college, but read it carefully and ask yourself if I wish I had a degree?

haha, like trafic on plank is not bad enough already. I have not been up that way since they have been moving in all the refugees, but I hear it is bumper to bumper all the time. I am suprised he got it down with no injuries, then he screws up the take off, -
Can you be overly cautious/too safe?
azureriders replied to Newbie's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Just my opinion, but the answer lies within the diffentions of the words used in this thread. From Encarta ® World English Dictionary cautious: a general term for being aware of potential risk and modifying your behavior accordingly planning: a method of doing something that is worked out usually in some detail before it is begun and that may be written down in some form or simply retained in memory evaluate: to consider or examine something in order to judge its value, quality, importance, extent, or condition diligence: persistent and hard-working effort in doing something saftey: protection from or nonexposure to the risk of harm or injury confidence: a belief or self-assurance in your ability to succeed worry: a troubled state of mind resulting from concern about current or potential difficulties anxiety: nervousness or agitation, often about something that is going to happen In your diligent effort to be safe, you can never be overly cautious, nor over plan or evaluate the risks of skydiving. Now, if you can not over do these things, how do you know when you have done them enough? When you are confident enough that you do not worry nor fell anxiety. I think sometimes worry, which is a bad thing, is mistaken for cautious planning, which is a great thing. -
I do not claim to have the knowledge to argue any skydiving related point with you, but this comment is in complete contrast to any thing I have read about wings, weather it be a ram-air wing or an airplane wing. Lift is increased by the square of the speed. That is pretty much directly I thought Gravity pulls an object towards the ground at 32ft\s\s with no consideration to drag/air resistance until said object reaches terminal velocity which is dertermined by density and air resistance. Now if a skydiver is falling feet first with a terminal velocity of about 180mi/hour then consider the drag of a parachute which would slow that terminal down to about (hell I dont know) lets say 40mi/hr then consider the lift generated by the air foil of the wing that causes a low pressure above the wing and high below the wing which would slow terminal down to about 20mi/hr. This lift would be acting on system during the intire canopy ride and total lift of the ride would have to be dependant apon the length of the ride since the lift is constant during the ride, that is with out considering change in wind and pressure ofcourse.(my explaination of lift with out walking to the bookshelf to get the physics book) Again, I have no idea as to the answer to this thread as I do not have that kind of experience, nor do I offer my explanation of lift for any other reason than to get feed back from the more knowledeable

those are "trim levels" not models I dont think the difference between a base mustang and a saleen mustang could be classified as a "trim level" and I think the svt would be very unhappy to hear you say that all their work is just trim

which mustang are we talking about? Base model GT GT Cobra Saleen
