yeah I dont like the flat part... I am tired of it...indy is really flat... also cali is good, but my wife is a pharmicist and the cali law portion for getting a licence is rumored to be VERY difficult and she didnt want to go there... so its either arizona or texas and she has family in the houston area (katy) so thats where we will prob. end up.. -yoshi _________________________________________ this space for rent.

skydiving weather year round... much more jumps than here in indiana where times like now are cold and even undesireable for a strapping young freefly lad like myself -yoshi _________________________________________ this space for rent.

yeah well I have been at 2000 doing a hop and pop and even with packing the main to open fast I still got a 800 foot snivel...to base jumpers I guess that wouldnt be that low, but for me....too low:) -yoshi _________________________________________ this space for rent.

ok so I am planning on moving to texas (in the southern houston area) in about 9 months....I just wanted to put a post out there because if any of you are realestate agents I would rather give my business to a skydiver than non.... if you are email me...if not, well, I guess don't

I love my crossfire openings.. usually I get a 90 or 180 but usually not to radical... it seems to be a surge after the canopy is completely open in my case... the snivel is long soft and enjoyable...I have flaked the nose out and left it completely exposed on hop and pops....it still snivels for quite a while. I have had about 600-1300 foot snivels depending on how I pack and speed @ deployment... I dont suggest getting out any lower than 2800 feet especially if you havent packed it to open a little faster. I have gotten out on some low hop and pops that I definately wont do again (isnt that right skygod????) -yoshi _________________________________________ this space for rent.

I only psyco pack (unless someone who I am packing for likes it differently) and I have never had any problems (knock on wood). I jump crossfires mostly and it works great.. its also very quick for me.. I can pack in about 4.5-5 minutes. (it helps when you are rushing to get on a load!:) laters yoshi _________________________________________ this space for rent.

its the sedan... I kinda liked the coupe, but if I get a boxter or slk today then it would make things a little difficult having 2 small cars (going out with friends etc...) rgroper: actually I guess I did get an award like the gear.. I jsut ordered a new oddysey, pd126r, and crossfire 2 111 last week... cant wait till its all in!!! laters, yoshi _________________________________________ this space for rent.

I am definately living up to my Yuppie numbers and standards.. it was a $32,000.00 deal... once I get a boxter or mercedes slk (hopefully monday) then I think I am going to give myself a yuppie award for going above and beyond the call of duty:) -yoshi _________________________________________ this space for rent.

I usually do 180 carvers, but I get on it from time to time. done a couple 270s, but not enough to really count. most done under a 149 crossfire, also jumped 119 crossfire, 109 crossfire, 105 crossfire 2, cobalt 120, and soon to be under my new crossfire 2 111. new canopy will be loaded at 1.81-1.83 depending on how much I gourge myself the night before (and if I have shit or not:) 350+ jumps total most under 149 crossfire. -yoshi _________________________________________ this space for rent.

thanks for all of your comments... I guess Ill be really biting down this year to hone my skills.. dont get me wrong.. I am not a complete flailing idiot on my belly.. I can usually get to where I want to go, but when going into an instructors position I want to KNOW that I can take wahtever the student trows at me... I dont want to be and AVERAGE instructor...i want to be the best:) well in feb I am headed down to z-hills for some fun jumps..Ill prob. stick to ff for that and once the season kicks in at my home dz I kow there are quite a few rw guys that will work with me... thanks again -yoshi _________________________________________ this space for rent.

Hello. ok heres my story I have over 300 jumps and of them about 15-20 are belly.. I mostly freefly an I really need to get into some rw...the reason is in about a year I want to obtain sevral ratings including aff static line coach etc... I have been on some larger (~20 way) belly dives and I think that my ff experience has helped me to learn alot about flying.. the thing is I am not all into 2 ways on my belly.. so heres the question..how many of you belly fliers out there get really pissed off when someone misses their slot on a dive... when I ff we dirt dive "lets just go have some fun...and you are base" I never really got into rw...but now I need the experience, but I dont want to be the guy who everyone doesnt want to jump with because I miss my slot here and there... any comments? -yoshi _________________________________________ this space for rent.

I have jumped the crossfire 1 149 down to the 119 and crossfire 2 from 119 down to a 105. I jumped a saffire 138 and 149 but never the saffire 2. I say go crossfire 2...the front riser pressure is very light the toffle stroke is close to as short as a stilletto and glide is very flat, and it dives like a MF. great all around canopy.. I have landed the 105 stright in with no run out at the end.. it definately has mucho flare. the safires that I have jumped tent to have good top end flare but it dies off a little before the end. could be that I have mostly jumped the crossfire and that I wasnt flying the saffire the way it needed to be flown, but I would definately say that for me the crossfire is the way to go. just my 2 cents... I also jumped a 120 cobalt and it kind of reminded me of the saffire.. granted I was in a pretty decent wind, but I could barely get any swoop out of it... some of the people at san marcos who regularly jump the cobalt told me a couple of things that may have reflected my experience with that particular canopy... 1. the canopy looked like it had quite a handful of jumps on it and the lines may have been out of trim, and 2. someone said that I needed to load it more to get more bottom end flare.. (kinda sounded like a crock to me because atair claims it is an all around canopy, and should be able to land it slow and fast. anyways I went with a CF2 and its on its way! -yoshi _________________________________________ this space for rent.

cool.. At the richmond boogie I jumped the 119 crossfire 2 and the 109... my brother has a 105 and I put about 5 jumps on it... they are sooo great.. I love how responsive they are to harness input... even though the highest performance loading is at 1.85 I opted to get a 111 sq/ft loaded at 1.79-1.8 ...I know I can handle the smaller ones, but I wanted to go for the middle of the road so I can explore the canopy to its fullest before going towards a loading that can get me in trouble faster... anyways thanks for the info.. I should have it all by feb at the latest and I cant wait because there is about 30 of us going to z-hills florida for our "winter" trip. if anyone wants to join us we will be there the last weekend in feb. peace out, yoshi _________________________________________ this space for rent.
