  1. I just got my Skydiving mag. There is some flock pics in it. Maybe you'll see yo'seff.
  2. There are just too many threads and too little time, especially when I'm sneaking peeks at work. Those people have always made me laugh so I'm more likely to open them. That's why I read the Bonfire. A merry heart doeth good like a medicine... Proverbs 17:22 I'd have to add PLFXpert and SkydiveStMarys to the list too.
  3. If so, whose threads do you automatically open? I would open the following threads because these authors always make me laugh: cocheese Icon134 jumpjunkie2004 RkyMtnHigh waltappel weegegirl yamtx73 What do you call a beautiful, sunny day that comes after two cloudy, rainy ones? -- Monday.

  7. Nah!... It wouldn't have meant anything to him. But I did show him the picture that Scary Perry took of my first wingsuit jump that made it into Parachutist... He was duly impressed. What do you call a beautiful, sunny day that comes after two cloudy, rainy ones? -- Monday.
  8. Yer no fun. :o( Quote I can be fun I just stopped playing "show me" games before I entered elementary school.
  9. Yes, I mind! You'll just have to take my word for it. What do you call a beautiful, sunny day that comes after two cloudy, rainy ones? -- Monday.
  10. I think it would be closer to 1 in 35 standing in a group would skydive. Well, that just means that I am a really bad salesman. I talk it up everywhere I go without success. I can't even get the 20-somethings here in the office to try it... What do you call a beautiful, sunny day that comes after two cloudy, rainy ones? -- Monday.
  11. That's a good way to look at it. Thank you...

  13. The furnace guy was here this morning doing my Spring checkup. We started discussing the pictures of me skydiving that were on the wall. He said that he was afraid to get into an airplane, and if there were 1,000 people standing here only one or two would skydive... Do you think that is true? Maybe that's why I haven't been a successful skydiving evangelist. What do you call a beautiful, sunny day that comes after two cloudy, rainy ones? -- Monday.
  14. Oh, I've got ya beat... It took me nine months to get my 'A' and 28 jumps. I was at the DZ every weekend, and I needed two Airspeed wind tunnel camps. Part of the problem was the weather. I began the training in November in Virginia. I failed water training the first time. I got my 'B' license two months after my 'A' at jump 54. My 'C' license on jump 200 ten days short of the anniversary of my 'A' license. What do you call a beautiful, sunny day that comes after two cloudy, rainy ones? -- Monday.
  15. I just ordered a Wings container. I was appalled at how much money the pinstriping was going to cost. I opted for a single color in the middle to save the money. What do you call a beautiful, sunny day that comes after two cloudy, rainy ones? -- Monday.
  16. I like to log before packing. I believe that I'm one of the few, with the number of jumps that I have, that do this. It just helps me to remember what happened. I draw cute little formations with arrows. That way I can look back and pick one that I have done before since I'm not very good at organizing. I put down what kind of landing I did, first and last names of who I jumped with if they are new [especially the famous ones!], and even the temperature. It's like a diary. 17. I don't know of anyone named Tamar. Whenever I have heard it pronounced at a bible study, it has always been "TAYmar" What do you call a beautiful, sunny day that comes after two cloudy, rainy ones? -- Monday.

I'm afraid that wouldn't work. It would be considered quite a coup on my part and brilliant strategy... What do you call a beautiful, sunny day that comes after two cloudy, rainy ones? -- Monday.

See I knew it would go well, he has the inside scoop!! Quote I find it mildly disturbing that I had to be reminded of that by a demon. What do you call a beautiful, sunny day that comes after two cloudy, rainy ones? -- Monday.

  22. I've been doing deep-water aerobics for years with flotation devices. When it came time for water training for my 'B' license I discovered that I had a phobia about getting my head under water. It took me six weeks of forcing myself to put my head under water before I was over it enough to try the water training again. I passed, but I still don't like it. Tell your pastor how reconciling bank statements is fun. He will know immediately that you have flipped your wig and will replace you immediately whether you like it or not

    I Quit . . .

Well, I talked to the pastor today about resigning. As skydemon2 suspected, he was already prepared for the conversation. His focus was totally on me and not on the bind that I was putting him in. This man lives his faith. Even though he has nine children and a whole congregation depending on him, he donated a kidney to one of his flock a few years ago. He says it was a “no-brainer.” She needed one and he had an extra. His only regret was that he only had one to donate. He said I have kept the books with the precision of a Swiss watch, but he will find a replacement for me as soon as possible. Just thinking about it now, I marvel that I have been able to do it for so long. Resigning is the right decision… What do you call a beautiful, sunny day that comes after two cloudy, rainy ones? -- Monday.
