The '57 Chevy convertible is my favorite because of who was behind the wheel, not because of what was under the hood. I loved the bench seats that allowed me to sit in the middle and put my hand on my boyfriend's thigh muscle. I don't know why they don't make bench seats any more. He had a white restored Chevy, and he loved that thing. One day we went to the bowling alley on a date. When we came back out, the car was gone. A juvenile escapee from a detention center cut the rag top, got inside, and hot wired it. He took the police on a merry chase across three counties before he wrapped the car around a tree. My boyfriend had to pay an exorbitant one-block towing charge before he could get it back. It was totaled, and was only insured for the Blue Book value. The juvenile could not be held responsible because he was a minor. His "baby" was totally gone in an instant.

Which brings up a valid question, can anyone find a post like this, "looking at posters names instead of the thread title...?" I started a thread that is similar this year... basically asking if people open threads based on the author. It's lost in the black hole of the search function so I can't find it. I remember listing a bunch of names and then regretting it because I kept remembering new names that I hadn't included initially. Update on the big bad squirrel... Shortly after I left, the squirrel found it's way into the office. The tenant grabbed her purse, stood on her desk, and started screaming.

This weekend is the Great Texas Mosquito Festival, in Clute. Clute is about 25 miles away from Rosharon. We know our skeeters... Note to self... don't go to Texas this weekend... Are there fewer skeeters at other times of the year? I'm going to remember this when I'm jumping in 20-something degree weather this winter. Nasty little buggers they are too! They aren't as big as the ones in Nova Scotia so they don't carry you away, but they are down right mean Its cooling off here only 96 today and thunder showers. Problem is...the rains make the little buggers hatch! I didn't think the mosquitoes could possibly be worse than in Texas at Skyfest. I heard that they are their state bird. My boss owns several buildings in our office complex. He got a panic call this morning when one of the tenants saw a squirrel in her office. Several hours later the police and animal control came twice with an ambulance (in case the squirrel was rabid). They couldn’t catch it. It had gotten into the ceiling and ductwork. A man was called to bring a trap. He wanted the tenant to look in the storage room to see if the squirrel was in it at the end of the day. No way would she do that. Guess who got to open the door to see if the squirrel was there? The woman had the storage room door locked with a chair in front of it. How is the squirrel going to open the door and push the chair away? The big, bad squirrel is still at large... I tried to avoid the 100 pie by going to a different DZ. My brother busted me and they got me anyway. Quote I did the same thing. It was in March in Virginia so I was able to talk that DZ out of pieing me because it was cold, and I assured them that my DZ would take care of it. Then I didn't tell anyone at my DZ. I spent months looking over my shoulder. It would have been better if I had just let them do it in the beginning. Of course, at my DZ, they would probably pie me anyway even if the other one did too. Someone finally asked me if I had been pied. I said I "Plead the Fifth" since I just can't force myself to lie. They did it on Jump 164, when my washing machine was broken... They didn't surprise me though. I knew it was coming so I changed my clothes as soon as I landed before packing my parachute.
