Fixed it. I reinstalled the driver. That fixed it. Thanks everyone.

Be sure to check the volume control for the mic. Alot of time it's set to mute by default. Checked that. It's not muted. Volume is all the way up.

Just plugged a new mic into my machine and the machine does not hear it. It's turned on. It's plugged into the right jack. My speakers work fine so my drivr and sound card must be working. Any ideas?

Except that in this case it's not "The Man" going off the deep end, losing their marbles, having their cheese slide off the cracker. But are there any 8 x 10 color glossy photographs, with a paragraph on the back of each one explaining what each one was? Fixed it for you!!
