    There is a another side to that thinking. You come from a physical science background. Where facts are facts. Beyond that there is the area of science where theory is not fact but widely believed to be true. In human psychology small factors which may not be relevant to the equation can develop outsize influence in the reasoning of people. trump and the GOP is a prime example as most republicans just believe that he is the only person to defeat socialist and non-white voters. There are hundreds of millions of Americans who think that way. Many people refuse to admit that they were wrong as hundreds of millions of republicans have done about trump. IMO the planet could be a dried out desert and some could still refuse facts. Antarctica completely melted and Florida 1/2 the size it is now. They would talk about how the planet will revert back to ice covered when the last human dies off.

    Brent seldom states facts as everyone here knows! He mostly references positions only thinly supported by fact, if at all. Its up to debaters to decide the facts. Or individually think that someone is lying. A straw is still a straw. Wrong. There is a slowing of the rate of growth in EV demand in the US. In part due to the economy and mostly due to a perceived lack of supply of supporting infrastructure. There is a world outside the US, Brent.

    In debate leaving out certain parts of facts or arguing factually incorrect positions isn't actually lying. As long as there is a grain of truth in the position somewhere. Brent is right there has been a slowdown of EV sales in the US in the last eight months. Consumers are reluctant to buy a second EV or in some case a first. Because recharging stations have not kept up with demand. In addition middle America still doesn't have the infrastructure for them. Biden's infrastructure plan will address part of that. But pricing is another factor for which used EV sales should play a factor. IMO Brent's reputation plays a part because overreach in his facts hurts his position. But another two or three years like this one for heat, fires, etc should finally drive a nail in the coffin of fossil fuels.The decline of reinvestment by the industry is proof that even they recognize this. Brent recognizing it? Thats another story, sorry Brent.

    Brent when you were younger your points of debate were much more salient. Even your hero corporation for gas guzzling vehicles has gone to the other side. BP just announced that it is buying $100 million in Tesla electric chargers to install in its dinosaur gas stations.

    Johnson is a trump apostle. The GOP elected him because they couldn't turn the MAGA house base so they caved in order to appear united. The first order is supposed to be Israel aid so Ukraine is to be sold out just as trump would want. President Biden wants Ukraine and Israel aid to pass together.

    Russia has begun stockpiling new hostages again. The most valuable kind as well, American hostages. Russia Detains a U.S. Journalist Alsu Kurmasheva, who holds dual U.S.-Russian citizenship and works in Prague, was charged with failing to register as a foreign agent after going to Russia for family reasons. Next up should be Iran to make up for the US reneging on its recent $6 billion hostage swap.

    Because of immigration Canada's population is among the twentieth fastest growing in the world. There were 1.1 million new immigrants in the last year. The conservative leader that you refer to is going to meet Canada's climate goals through "technology". I agree with his policy to strive for more exports of carbon fuels.

    Agree or even two eternities. Unfortunately given the breakdown/distribution of districts and MPs. The majority hasn't carried the day in the last couple election. The recent pandering of the PM to his base regarding food costs. Whereby he called into Ottawa the presidents of the largest grocery chains and read them the riot act to reduce food costs. Was nothing but a sham.

    Finance, economics, international market supply and demand equations and how pricing works. Isn't discussed or even know about within the GOP. As Ukraine and the war in the middle east in on the agenda in Washington this week. I have to think about how fu#ked up everything would be if trump was president. Ukraine would already be a Putin client state. trump would be in the middle east showing everyone how "easy" peace is. Most likely by kissing the hand of MBS.
