Just trump supporters acknowledging what they bought and paid for. No news here. Just move on.

Fake tweets, intelligent bots, intelligent social media bots that can generate fake news independently of direct human instructions. Intelligent disinformation for political purpose is a area of recent study by NSA, DARPA and others including Russia. For some reason a person ROY???, who will remain unnamed has inadvertently got me to this site. It is terrifying, to reflect upon what such concepts can do to weak minds. Minds that follow the herd so to speak. http://politicalbots.org/ and http://cacm.acm.org/magazines/2016/7/204021-the-rise-of-social-bots/fulltext

From the Story: "two Kansas men were sentenced Wednesday for their roles in an unrelated hate attack on three Somali Muslims in that state." Then this. But still no tweets from trump even though he has instructed his staff to inform him of every Muslim terror attack so he can twit about it. Good on the hero bystander that took on the armed assailant barehanded. Very risky. "Prosecutor: Businessman invokes Trump in attack on Muslim airline employee.. NEW YORK >> A businessman attacked a Muslim airline employee at Kennedy Airport, kicking her, shouting obscenities at her and saying that President Donald Trump “will get rid of all of you,” authorities said. Robin Rhodes, of Worcester, Massachusetts, had arrived from Aruba and was awaiting a connecting flight to Massachusetts on Wednesday night when he approached Delta employee Rabeeya Khan, who wears a hijab, while she was sitting in her office, the Queens district attorney said. Khan told police that Rhodes came to the door and went on a profanity-laced tirade, asking her if she was praying, District Attorney Richard A. Brown said. Rhodes then punched the door, which hit the back of Khan’s chair, investigators said. Khan asked Rhodes what she had done to him and Rhodes replied, “You did nothing,” Brown said. He then cursed at her and kicked her in the leg, Khan told police, according to Brown." http://www.staradvertiser.com/2017/01/26/breaking-news/prosecutor-man-attacks-muslim-airline-employee-at-jfk/ Then the whole world burst into: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yAmydqJmDtY

So you want trump, to be alone with bannon, with the football, in the White House. trump heard that Co. was getting just too wild. "The administration of President Donald Trump may ramp up enforcement of federal laws against recreational marijuana use, a White House spokesman said on Thursday, setting up potential conflicts in states where the drug is legal. More than two dozen U.S. states have legalized marijuana for either medical or recreational purposes, and the administration of former President Barack Obama mostly looked the other way. But White House spokesman Sean Spicer said the Trump Administration may distinguish between medical and recreational use of the drug. Spicer's comments came on the same day that a nationwide poll from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut, showed 71 percent of registered voters favored allowing states to decide whether marijuana should be legal. "I do believe you'll see greater enforcement of it," Spicer said at a news conference. "Because again there's a big difference between the medical use ... that's very different than the recreational use, which is something the Department of Justice will be further looking into." http://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-trump-marijuana-idUSKBN1622KB Between boobs and weed Co. could have become the next tourist destination.

Clearly no staff with operational neurons. Did they really believe that the FBI would quit. They know the FBI has recordings because of Flynn. They know Paul Manafort had contacts. They don't know when to talk, when to shut up and to have the brain in gear before either option is acted upon. The Curious Case of Paul Manafort The former Trump campaign chairman may have been the victim of a blackmail plot. http://www.vanityfair.com/news/2017/02/paul-manafort-blackmail

I'm extremely ashamed of not being able to grow a beard???
Phil1111 replied to Icemann's topic in Speakers Corner
I grew a beard once for about a year and a half. I'm not a fastidious man. I don't get fussy with my clothing or hair. I think that becomes an issue when a person has a beard otherwise a person ends up looking like a guy from Duck Dynasty or homeless or something. Thats me. I know a guy that had a full facial laser treatment done. You know the kind of places where chicks go to get permanent full Brazilian treatments. No more shaving, no more itchy two day growths. Fifteen minutes a day x 365 x 10 years= 912 hours New Bic shaver every three days with cream, $80/year 10 years =$800 Laser treatment $1000 and done. -
And the FACT is that he was never convicted of anything, and just imprisoned for being "implausible" by people who are recruited on the basis of having no imagination. Its OK I will not make age an issue of this debate. I am not going to exploit, for discussion purposes, my opponent's youth and inexperience.

Too easy. He absolutely needed to meet Allah ASAP. So Allah could put him straight about Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. "The Nature of the Day of Judgment The resurrection that will take place on the Last Day is physical, and is explained by suggesting that Allah will re-create the decayed body (17:100: "Could they not see that God who created the heavens and the earth is able to create the like of them"?). On the Last Day, resurrected humans and jinn will be judged by Allah according to their deeds. One's eternal destination depends on balance of good to bad deeds in life. They are either granted admission to Paradise, where they will enjoy spiritual and physical pleasures forever, or condemned to Hell to suffer spiritual and physical torment for eternity. The day of judgment is described as passing over Hell on a narrow bridge in order to enter Paradise. Those who fall, weighted by their bad deeds, will remain in Hell forever. The Quran specifies two exceptions to this general rule: - Warriors who die fighting in the cause of God are ushered immediately to God's presence (Surah 2:159 and Surah 3:169); and - "Enemies of Islam" are sentenced immediately to Hell upon death. " http://www.religionfacts.com/islam/afterlife Since al-Baghdadi is a false prophet. His followers go to hell immediately. Sort of reminds me about other religions and those who have false ideas about how to get to heaven. How to do the work of God...But I digress. Glad to help.

I think this guy has greater need. Look the Pope sent a special message just for him. "Populism fueling self-centered rejection of migrants, pope says “Faced with this kind of rejection, rooted ultimately in self-centeredness and amplified by populist demagoguery, what is needed is a change of attitude to overcome indifference and to counter fears with a generous approach of welcoming those who knock at our doors,” Pope Francis told participants of the VI International Forum on Migration and Peace... Refugees escaping persecution, violence and poverty are often shunned and deemed as “unworthy of our attention, a rival or someone to be bent to our will,” the pope told participants of the VI International Forum on Migration and Peace. “Faced with this kind of rejection, rooted ultimately in self-centeredness and amplified by populist demagoguery, what is needed is a change of attitude to overcome indifference and to counter fears with a generous approach of welcoming those who knock at our doors,” he said on February 21... In his speech, the pope said millions of people are being forced to flee their homelands due to “conflict, natural disasters, persecution, climate change, violence, extreme poverty and inhumane living conditions.” To confront this challenge, he said, the church and civil society must have a “shared response” of welcoming, protecting, promoting and integrating migrants and refugees. Providing access to “secure humanitarian channels” - legal paths to safety - is crucial in helping people who are “fleeing conflicts and terrible persecutions,” but are often met with rejection and indifference. “A responsible and dignified welcome of our brothers and sisters begins by offering them decent and appropriate shelter,” the pope said. Citing Pope Benedict XVI, the pope said the need to defend the “inalienable rights” of exiled and exploited men and women is a duty “from which no one can be exempted.” “Protecting these brothers and sisters is a moral imperative which translates into adopting juridical instruments, both international and national, that must be clear and relevant,” the pope said." https://cruxnow.com/cns/2017/02/21/populism-fueling-self-centered-rejection-migrants-pope-says/ I like this man. He speaks the truth from his heart.

How can it be that some Christian ministers seek to protect the children, the weak, the needy and the vulnerable. From the actions of Fascism, of governments that want to " Trump: Removal of undocumented immigrants is ‘military operation’" http://www.politico.com/blogs/donald-trump-administration/2017/02/trump-undocumented-immigrants-military-operation-235308 I fully concur, all of YOU should do that. Every single ONE of YOU. And then you should get up from your keyboard and go down to the mall to pass out some pamphlets. Make some real effort and show some real commitment. Do you have a plan for fasting and pilgrimage as well? My suggestion was primarily for Americans. But, certainly you are free to pray the Lord's Prayer as well. I do volunteer work for the less fortunate, especially veterans. I lead a fasting life these days. Pilgrimage is not in my schedule. Evidently there are many Christian Gods, 1/2 dozen to a dozen perhaps. Who knew! http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2016/12/04/will-churches-hide-illegal-immigrants-from-trump.html "Across the country, dozens of churches and other faith communities say they're preparing to offer sanctuary to immigrants who are in the country illegally... "It is our position as a people of faith that this is sacred, and faithful work," said the Rev. Mike Morran during the news conference at his church. .. "God most definitely doesn't want to break up families," says Seth Kaper-Dale, pastor of the Reformed Church of Highland Park in New Jersey. In 2012, the church offered sanctuary to nine Indonesian immigrants who were set for deportation. Almost a year later, they reached an agreement with ICE allowing them to stay for now. "Sanctuary works," says Kaper-Dale. "I can tell you from our own experience that all nine people who lived here have kept their families together, have been able to raise their children, have been able to go back to their jobs. Is sanctuary brutally hard? Yes. But it is a tool that we will use, if we're forced by a brutal regime to use it.".. Sanctuary church advocates insist history is on their side. John Fife is the former minister of the Southside Presbyterian Church in Tucson, Ariz., which helped spark the sanctuary church movement of the 1980s and '90s to help migrants from Central America get asylum. "That movement changed the public perception of the issue, and resulted in the government changing its policy," Fife says. It also resulted in the arrest and conviction of Fife and other activists. Sanctuary churches today say they're prepared to continue that work, too." http://www.npr.org/2017/02/16/515510996/colorado-church-offers-immigrant-sanctuary-from-deportation "In Trump era, Bay Area churches offer sanctuary to undocumented immigrants " http://www.mercurynews.com/2017/02/05/in-trump-era-bay-area-churches-offer-sanctuary-to-undocumented-immigrants/ 450 churches prepare to act as Trump-era ‘underground railroad’ for undocumented immigrants http://www.rawstory.com/2016/12/450-churches-prepare-to-act-as-trump-era-underground-railroad-for-undocumented-immigrants/ Bishops deplore Trump’s executive orders "Bishop Joe Vasquez of Austin, Texas, the chair of the USCCB’s Committee of Migration and Bishop of the Diocese of Austin, said, “I am disheartened that the president has prioritized building a wall on our border with Mexico. This action will put immigrant lives needlessly in harm’s way. Construction of such a wall will only make migrants, especially vulnerable women and children, more susceptible to traffickers and smugglers.... "Vasquez added a personal note to his statement, saying, “Every day my brother bishops and I witness the harmful effects of immigrant detention in our ministries. We experience the pain of severed families that struggle to maintain a semblance of normal family life. We see traumatized children in our schools and in our churches. The policies announced today will only further upend immigrant families.” In closing his statement, the Texas bishop offered words of solidarity to immigrant families. “We will continue to support and stand in solidarity with immigrant families,” he said. “We remind our communities and our nation that these families have intrinsic value as children of God. And to all those impacted by today’s decision, we are here to walk with you and accompany you on this journey.” https://cruxnow.com/church-in-the-usa/2017/01/25/bishops-applaud-deplore-trumps-executive-orders/

If he kicks bannon to the curb and listens to Mattis and H.R. McMaster. He could go four years. Not that these two generals hold the key to his administration. But bannon is a bomb. His council will destroy trump before four years. Mattis and McMaster will keep him out of foreign policy mistakes, entanglements, etc. If bannon was out trump would be led around the nose by someone else. If republicans can get some bills through it could go on...and on...and on... You do realize that Merkel is the only leader that Germany has, did I say Germany? I meant the whole EU! That May and whoever ends up in France couldn't lead ruchmc to a "DD boob".

He didn't take actions against us. I know you want to believe this was some poor lost lamb. He wasn't. He was a bad guy who was mistreated. He won a suit and was given 1 million dollars for his troubles. Even after all that he decided to be a suicide bomber against Iraq, a country that had very little to do with his treatment. So if he bombed Germany that would be ok? Suicide bomb attack in France would be OK? He was released by the US government after two years of detention due to lack of evidence. It's important to separate what is known from the unknown and to separate the feelings against Islam,IS from the end result. Because there was two years of wrongdoing on the part of the US at GITMO. That is the use of illegal and criminal actions upon a non-citizen. Who was never determined by the US to be either a terrorist or a combatant. At the time of unlawful detention. He was among the first to be released.

I'm all for it. Obviously these are taster introduction rates to generate publicity. If any pilot-crew could be used, if any make of airplane used, if any maintenance center could be used and any US airport could be used. It would be real actual competition. The airline concept does run counter to trumps protectionist ideas.

BillyVance's "You Can't Make This Up" News Stories Thread
Phil1111 replied to BillyVance's topic in The Bonfire
I don't see any problem. Well (from the story): Apparently he didn't have a problem with it either. I'm at a compete loss as to how this ever came to the point of a complaint. Did the person who monitors the video feed not consult management first. Seems like a win-win all around and makes me wonder if she doesn't have a bunch of job offers from other retirement homes already. -
"Does Putin decide who wins elections in the West? Many believe that he cost Clinton the US presidency; now Macron is next in France and then, Merkel will be in the line of fire. .. In France, Emmanuel Macron's election campaign staff suspects that the Kremlin intends to discredit the Socialist presidential candidate with a "smear campaign." Do you think this is possible? We have observed that Russian media, social networks and certain state agents are trying to influence the debates in EU member states. Germany and its election campaign this year, as well as France, are clearly target countries. In key European countries, as well as countries in which right-wing populists have a good chance, we have observed increased activities in Russian media, Russian trolling and bots. [ROY-bot???]... It is obvious that Macron is a candidate who makes Moscow feel uncomfortable. One would have to systematically examine the extent to which a smear campaign is being run. But we see that there are many activities and that Macron in particular is being attacked and certain things are being said about him. The fact that rumors, half-truths and the like are being spread does make one wonder whether they are linked to Russia.... That is difficult to prove. I think the Kremlin is more interested in causing confusion. It is strengthening forces that question the system - in the US with Trump but also in France and Germany. Its intentions are to make the electorate feel insecure and to undermine the credibility of media and state institutions. That way, the political rights of politicians in key EU states will be weakened. I believe that not even Russian services think that they can become so deeply involved that they can make certain candidates win. What does the Kremlin have to gain from weakened democracies in the West? It wants to show its own population that Western democracies are in a deep crisis, that political discourse is polarized, that foreign infiltration exists. This strengthens its position domestically. The aim is to show that Western democracies no longer have the legitimacy to advise on international relations, human rights and universal values. At the same time, the EU's ability to act will be weakened to the point that it has an impact on the extension of sanctions against Russia. This, of course, improves Putin's position, also with regard to Ukraine and the recognition of his sphere of influence on post-Soviet territory. We must upgrade our technology. The Russians are a year or two ahead of us with regard to their ability to manipulate social networks and launch cyberattacks. We have to improve our expertise and upgrade our technological standards, and we have to coordinate better within Germany and even between the individual institutions that work on this - and in the EU as well. Then not everyone will be fumbling around, trying to react. "Pope Francis delivered another criticism of some members of his own Church on Thursday, suggesting it is better to be an atheist than one of "many" Catholics who he said lead a hypocritical double life. In improvised comments in the sermon of his private morning Mass in his residence, he said: "It is a scandal to say one thing and do another. That is a double life." "There are those who say 'I am very Catholic, I always go to Mass, I belong to this and that association'," the head of the 1.2 billion-member Roman Catholic Church said, according to a Vatican Radio transcript. He said that some of these people should also say "'my life is not Christian, I don't pay my employees proper salaries, I exploit people, I do dirty business, I launder money, (I lead) a double life'." "There are many Catholics who are like this and they cause scandal," he said. "How many times have we all heard people say 'if that person is a Catholic, it is better to be an atheist'." Since his election in 2013, Francis has often told Catholics, both priests and lay people, to practice what their religion preaches. In his often impromptu sermons, he has condemned sexual abuse of children by priests as being tantamount to a "Satanic Mass", said Catholics in the mafia excommunicate themselves, and told his own cardinals to not act as if they were "princes"." http://www.reuters.com/article/us-pope-atheists-idUSKBN1621I3 The Lord certainly works in mysterious ways eh Ron?

For those of you who like to keep track of politcal liars
Phil1111 replied to rushmc's topic in Speakers Corner
How about a new tax code. An independent organization will determine if a statement made by a politician is a lie. If so, asses a fine that arises to the political party for the lie. It will depend on the degree and if it was a innocent mistake or a "pants on fire whopper". The proceeds to fund a new Obamacare, and national defense. -
Beginning this summer, travelers will be able to fly on the low-cost air carrier’s Irish-based subsidiary, Norwegian Air International, to Ireland and Scotland for an introductory fare of $65 one-way including taxes. The flights will go up to $99 after the sale period is over.... Critics say the company is attempting to skirt more stringent Norwegian labor and tax laws by establishing itself in Ireland, and claim the airline is undermining competition by hiring pilots contracted through Asia, where labor costs are lower. ... But Norwegian, which has agreed not to use any Asian-based cabin crew on its transatlantic flights, will be predominately using U.S.-based crew and American-made planes for the new flight routes.... White House press secretary Sean Spicer expressed support for the air carrier in a recent press conference, saying there’s “huge economic interest” in the deal. “We are doing exactly what the Trump administration has asked: buy American and hire American,” Sande said. http://thehill.com/policy/transportation/320752-norwegian-launches-cheapest-ever-transatlantic-flights-after-long

Random ass question how many cars have you owned in your lifetime?
Phil1111 replied to keithbar's topic in The Bonfire
About 15 years ago a friend comes by with a 928 with just over 180,000 miles. So after some talk we go for a drive. We are going down a road with a limit of 50 mph. Listening to the stereo while he relates to me the problems he is having trying to get cheap parts for the A/C which was inop. After a bit I check the speedometer and I about crap my pants. Its indicating 110 and I thought I might be going 60. Nice cars, quiet, strong engine.
