Well there are certainly lots of hillbillies in BC. Religious ones too: "CRANBROOK, B.C. — Two people linked to the polygamous community of Bountiful, B.C., could have foreseen that their actions would lead to a girl having sex with the church’s prophet well before her 14th birthday, a B.C. Supreme Court judge said as he convicted the pair Friday. Justice Paul Pearlman found estranged husband and wife Brandon Blackmore and Gail Blackmore guilty of the charge of taking a girl across the border for a sexual purpose in 2004. He found James Oler not guilty of the same charge, saying the prosecution didn’t prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the man crossed the border with a 15-year-old girl who was later married to another member of the polygamous church. Oler was a one-time leader in Bountiful.... The charges against the Blackmores centred on records that show the 13-year-old girl was married to Warren Jeffs, the church prophet now serving a life sentence in Texas. He was 48 years old when he married the girl. Pearlman said in his ruling that he found Brandon Blackmore “acted on the prophet’s direction” by bringing the 13-year-old across the border and he was satisfied Blackmore would have known the girl would have sexual contact with Jeffs “in short order” before her 14th birthday." http://vancouversun.com/news/local-news/two-of-three-convicted-b-c-judge-in-child-bride-case

"Hundreds have responded to a Facebook "Chicago moons Trump Tower" event, during which protesters plan to drop their trousers in front of Trump Tower Chicago. According to the Facebook page for the event titled "Operation "Kiss Our Asses, Release Your Taxes," the goal of the protest is to get President Trump to release his tax returns. "In 2006, a Maryland state circuit court determined that mooning is a form of artistic expression protected by the First Amendment as a form of speech," the event page says. "Donald Trump doesn't think the American people want to see his tax returns, so let's show him that we do in the classiest way possible!" Protestors will meet at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 12 at Trump Tower Chicago, and plan to moon the building for 10 seconds starting at 4 p.m. in what event organizers call "a powerful message to Washington elites." http://thehill.com/blogs/in-the-know/in-the-know/317873-hundreds-plan-to-moon-trump-tower-in-protest Sure I'll buy a condo in a trump building and look at a bunch of_______ for the next four years. Honey what was the name of that real estate broker "Anywhere But Here".

Federal judge halts enforcement of Trump immigration ban 02/03/17 08:27 AM EST "A federal judge in Detroit has ordered the administration to stop enforcement of President Trump's executive order barring citizens from certain Muslim-majority countries from traveling to the U.S, CBS Detroit reported Friday. The executive order bans people from Iraq, Iran, Syria, Yemen, Libya, Sudan and Somalia from entering the U.S. for 90 days, temporarily halts the country's refugee resettlement program and indefinitely suspends resettlement for refugees from Syria." http://thehill.com/policy/national-security/317709-federal-judge-halts-enforcement-of-trump-immigration-ban -

CHURCHILL ON THE LEFTWING: The fascists of the future will call themselves anti-fascists. Only problem with that is Winston Churchill almost certainly never said such a thing, and this quote has been misattributed to him for years, even with the Churchill Society (who know everything Churchill!) refuting the claim, responding to queries stating there is absolutely no evidence that he ever muttered those words. Who actually said the quote is up for some contention, and it’s likely that the quote has been altered throughout the years, as is common with quotes said many years ago. It seems to be mishmash of quotes from Huey Long, a 1930s US politician, or Ignazio Silone, an Italian politician. And despite Britain First’s claim that this quote was specifically directed at left-wing politics, there is no evidence to support that claim. It is likely referring to the fact that people generally not regarded as fascists were increasingly utilising fascist strategies. http://www.thatsnonsense.com/another-visit-to-britain-firsts-facebook-page/ https://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Talk:Huey_Long

Iron Mike is a name for statues of service members. So, not just a pseudonym, but a pretentious one. Check. Pretentious? Not only did I receive an airborne certificate of graduation, but also earned the Airborne "Iron Mike" after being No.1 in my Airborne class. How is that any more pretentious than one who receive a master's or doctorate as "Magna Cum Laude" (I have one of those also). In virtually every field there are honors for going above & beyond. Nobel Prize, Field's Medal, etc. Do you view all earned honors as pretentious or just the military one's? Congratulations, OUTSTANDING. For you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jy6AOGRsR80 -

Iron Mike is a name for statues of service members. I thought this was Iron Mike. "Onetime Chicago Bears football coach Mike Ditka has not been in charge of an NFL team for 17 years, but the business of being “Iron Mike” has never stopped booming. He’s the tough-as-nails head football coach who’s always ready to shill for any product within arm’s distance or play himself in a Will Ferrell movie. When on ESPN, he is forever armed with a sharp rant and is perhaps their only talent—other than maybe Chis Berman—who can pass gas on live television and make it come off as lovable. That’s just Ditka being Ditka. But there is another side to Mike Ditka. He’s the guy who was accused of sending players back into games with concussions. He’s the guy who was described this way by former Bears safety Dave Duerson: “Mike was not one who gave a damn about the players or their injuries when he was coaching.” Duerson later took his own life, and in death was diagnosed the brain disease CTE. Ditka is the guy who berated his own Bears players for not crossing a picket line when the NFLPA was on strike in 1987. He’s the guy today who—after a lifetime of supporting right-wing candidates—shills for another dubious product: Donald Trump. We Won, You Lost So the election is over. The tax records were never disclosed. Ivanka was able to sit in on trumps first meetings with Japans Prime Minister. Standards of separating business interests with those of elected officials were never satisfied. How have Americans responded to the toxic trump brand? How does this forecast whats to come for the trump brand? "Nordstrom drops Ivanka Trump clothing line, accessories Nordstrom will no longer sell Ivanka Trump's clothing and accessories, the company announced Thursday. The Seattle-based department store chain said the decision was based on the sales performance of the first daughter's brand, The Seattle Times reported. The move comes amid a weekslong campaign known as "Grab Your Wallet," which has been calling for a boycott of retailers that carry Ivanka Trump or Donald Trump merchandise. In November, Nordstrom posted a response on Twitter to a shopper's letter calling for the company to stop selling the brand, saying, "We hope that offering a vendor's products isn't misunderstood as us taking a political position; we're not." A Nordstrom spokesperson didn't say whether the decision to stop buying the brand was permanent, only that they make buying decisions each season. Nordstrom also said it offers thousands of brands and cuts about 10 percent each year based performance. The Ivanka Trump brand was no longer listed on the company's website Thursday evening, and a search of her products on the site turned up just a few pairs of shoes, all of which had been marked down in price." http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2017/02/03/nordstrom-drops-ivanka-trump-clothing-line-accessories-amid-boycott.html trump used the National Prayer Breakfast as a oppourtunity to repay Arnold Schwarzenegger. " Arnold Schwarzenegger, the former California governor who is due to replace Donald Trump as the host of “Celebrity Apprentice,” said on Saturday that he cannot support the billionaire reality TV star's White House bid. “For the first time since I became a citizen in 1983, I will not vote for the Republican candidate for president,” Schwarzenegger said in a statement posted to his Twitter account. " http://www.politico.com/story/2016/10/arnold-schwarzenegger-donald-trump-229359 I'm surprised that CNN, FOX, ABC. took trumps statements as humor. It had nothing to do with humor and had everything to do with payback. Payback for Schwarzenegger's failure to support trump during the election. How long till the next trump failure? Till President trump tweets about Nordstroms? Then has the usual trump apologists say its all about humor. That the left can't take a joke.

"Why the U.S.-Built House of Cards in the Middle East Is Falling Apart While lies are almost uniformly held to be unacceptable in the context of a liberal democracy, this is not entirely the case in foreign policy where realists often value lies for their ability to advance a country’s national interest. The entire literature and practice of military strategy, intelligence and counter-espionage is underwritten by deception and lies. The disclosure of NSA mass surveillance has shown us that the U.S. government spies on foes and friends alike. Likewise, the Kremlin has engaged in a disinformation campaign in order to provide Russian foreign policy and, in the case of Ukraine, Russian military intervention and territorial annexation, a veneer of legitimacy. Relying on lies to advance one’s national interest and maintain stable balances of power is not without its dangers. Lies can undermine worthy policy initiatives by producing blowback from foreign governments and citizens. They can also trap governments into policy positions that no longer serve the national interest. A prime example of these dangers and their negative consequences can be seen in U.S. foreign policy towards the Middle East, where U.S. military and diplomatic engagement with this region that ostensibly is based on realist principles has worked against its own national interest and that of a stable regional balance of power. Far from stabilizing the region, U.S. foreign policy has created a structure in which the United States continues to act as an external force of intrusion." The article in The National Interest goes on to explain how US "transactional pragmatism" based upon lies and short term alliances has propped up allies and governments. While Obama was a party to this policy. Its most accurately described a trump on steroids. http://nationalinterest.org/feature/why-the-us-built-house-cards-the-middle-east-falling-apart-18267 I'm going to take a bit of a jump now on how to fight terrorism. The first terrorist campaign was the British effort known as the Malayan Emergency 1948-60. "Winning, or at least not losing ‘hearts and minds’ is an essential difficulty in counterinsurgency warfare. If destructive force used against insurgents results in civilian casualties and other negative effects for the lives of the local population, counterinsurgency efforts can quickly exacerbate the situation and strengthen the insurgents’ support. Within this context, the use of airpower in counterinsurgency campaigns has been seen as particularly problematic. How can you win hearts and minds by dropping bombs from 15,000 feet?" http://nottspolitics.org/2014/03/30/can-airpower-winhearts-and-minds-lessons-from-the-malayan-emergency/ The second lessons came about during the Mau Mau uprising in Kenya. Further reading: https://www.amazon.com/MAN-HUNT-KENYA-IAN-HENDERSON/dp/1298492645/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1486127044&sr=8-1&keywords=man+hunt+in+kenya and a free version of that book here: https://archive.org/stream/manhuntinkenya006748mbp/manhuntinkenya006748mbp_djvu.txt Now we get to how to keep US and coalition troops safe. Oh silly me I just forgot we have a new go it alone sheriff in town. A lone wolf gunslinger that doesn't need a posse to ride with him. OK keep US servicemen and servicewomen safe. To not toss their lives away in foolish wars. Fighting enemies invented by lies and politicians. Back to the American Infantryman. The Malay Emergency, the Mau Mau uprising studies provided the foundations which General Mattis used. In his books on US COIN (how to fight terrorists and enemies in a guerrilla war) warfare. So for the military none of this is new. i.e. how to fight and how to win. Generals understand the limits of airpower. Understand when a infantryman and a tank is needed. When SEALs, Green Berets and other special forces are the best weapon. With full understanding that a drone airstrike provides full protections for their political hacks. Sorry I meant political masters. The ones who call the shots. The political masters who tie the hands of service personnel from winning a war. Who send them to war when they should be at home in bed, with their wives. The political masters who option drone strikes when the generals tell them they alone will never win a war. When the generals tell them that "bombing the sh*t out of them" won't win the war either. That it may make the situation worse. The cornerstone of how this should be done is easy. The President, i.e. a real President. Has the director of the CIA to the left. General Mattis to the right. Then poses the questions: - How do we defeat IS - How do we contain the Iranian Shia Mullahs, separate them from the Iranian people, degrade their legitimacy, power and keep them from interfering with their neighbors. i.e. creating a Iran-Shia hegemony thats nuclear armed. - How do we move the Saudi's to a modern view of Sunni Islam, degrade conservative Sunni mullah influence in the Saudi government. - Separate Putin and his kleptocratic cronies from their power base. Destroy the empire building aspects of Putin's ideology that is part of his power base.i.e. make Russia great again and the west is an enemy. Without alienating the Russian people. - Gather a coalition to stop China's ideas of island building as a mechanism to grab resources, territory and influence in the South China sea. - Keep the US homeland safe from terrorist actions. Thats whats on the table for trump. bannon is by his side along with his son in law, Jared Kushner "Jared is considered to be part of the "power center" in the White House, reports the Washington Post, along with Steven Bannon, Kellyanne Conway, and Reince Priebus. But in the early days of the administration, Kushner appears to have gotten caught up in some workplace politics. Sources told the Washington Post that observers "have been alarmed by Kushner's efforts to elbow aside anyone he perceives as a possible threat to his role as Trump's chief consigliere." According to Vanity Fair, Jared's adjustment to Washington has been tough. "Kushner appears unable to control both his father-in-law and those around him," writes Emily Jane Fox. A source told Fox that Jared's influence on Trump "may be flagging." After Jared successfully negotiated a meeting with Mexico's president, Trump canceled it, leaving Jared "fucking furious." Not only that, Jared isn't looking so great these days, according to Fox's source. "His body language and his demeanor toward Trump had changed, and he had lost a noticeable amount of weight from his already slight frame in just a week." Apart from a semester as a member of the Institute of Politics during his freshman year at Harvard, Jared has not been engaged politically. While visiting the White House after the election, Jared reportedly asked, "How many of these people stay?" (Answer: Pretty much none.) Though comparatively inexperienced in politics, Jared has proved to be a quick study. "Honestly, Jared is a very successful real estate person, but I actually think he likes politics more than he likes real estate," Donald Trump said at a rally. "But he's very good at politics."... Jared was studying to get a dual MBA and law degree at New York University (Charles's alma mater and the recipient of another notable donation of $3 million) when his father was sent to prison for tax fraud, witness tampering, and illegal campaign donations. Jared took over Kushner Companies as CEO in 2008 when he was 27 years old, abandoning his legal aspirations. "My dad’s arrest made me realize I didn’t want to be a prosecutor anymore," Anybody still here!.... Did I say it was easy. Well there is trump at the helm and ...and... he like the smartest guy ever. -

Disingenuous is a 50 cent word from the political speak box. Lie is simple to understand — a false statement made with deliberate intent to deceive; an intentional untruth; a falsehood; something intended or serving to convey a false impression. Disingenuous is spoken with a bit of fuzz on it — lacking in frankness, candor, or sincerity; falsely or hypocritically ingenuous; insincere:" http://www.teapartytribune.com/2012/04/07/difference-between-lie-and-disingenuous/ -
"If the Johnson Amendment were repealed, pastors would be able to endorse candidates from the pulpit, which they’re currently not allowed to do by law. But it’s also true that a lot more money could possibly flow into politics via donations to churches and other religious organizations. That could mean religious groups would become much more powerful political forces in American politics—and it would almost certainly tee up future court battles." https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2016/08/how-trump-is-trying-to-put-more-money-in-politics/493823/ Did I hear the trumpsters talk....wait.... talk about draining the swamp. "The new enthusiastic president, with all his authority, will not be able to prevent terrorism, deport all illegal immigrants or prevent people from entering the US through Mexico. However, he will try and do what he can inside the US and likewise, he will not be able to win every battle on a foreign level. Perhaps the most important decision that he made is not to cooperate with Iran- a matter that will anger Tehran. Tehran will then direct its puppets in Gaza, Iraq, Syria and Yemen and extremist groups which falsely operate in the name of Islam against him." http://english.aawsat.com/2017/02/article55366705/opinion-trump-iran-mixing-issues "Asharq al-Awsat (Arabic: meaning "The Middle East") is an Arabic international newspaper headquartered in London. A pioneer of the "off-shore" model in the Arabic press, the paper is often noted for its distinctive green-tinted pages.[2] The New York Times in 2005 called Asharq al-Awsat "one of the oldest and most influential in the region".[3] " http://english.aawsat.com/2017/02/article55366705/opinion-trump-iran-mixing-issues "Meaning, unjustifiable US hostility toward Iran has persisted for decades and the nuclear deal changed nothing. True, international sanctions ended, but US ones largely remain in place, with new President Donald Trump and bipartisan congressional hardliners calling for more. Billions of dollars of Iranian assets remain frozen. Tehran is wrongfully blamed for regional terrorism and elsewhere. Congress continues to pass legislation authorizing Iranian assets be used to compensate victims of Israeli Mossad terrorism – wrongfully blamed on Tehran. High crimes committed in Syria and Yemen by America, NATO, Israel, Saudi Arabia and other regional rogue states go unpunished too – Iran targeted to pay compensation to their victims. All this continued hostility is for one reason only: Sovereign Iranian independence frees it from US control. Washington and company want unchallenged regional dominance – pro-Western puppet regimes. Imperial wars on Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Libya and elsewhere aim to achieve this objective. Iran remains largely untouched (thanks to its armed forces that are combat-ready), yet unjustly vilified, cited for nonexistent and unsubstantiated aggression and terrorism, criticized for its legitimate missile program solely for defense... Tehran has other good reasons to bear such animus toward war-party Washington: The 1953 CIA Coup and the Shah; the imposed Iraqi war of the 1980s (with all those Western-made chemical weapons) during which America assisted Saddam’s regime with intelligence like satellite imagery and maps in advance of what Washington knew would be gas attacks; Bush’s ‘Axis of Evil’ and regime change threat in 2001; America never meeting its end of the bargain as per the nuclear deal. The list of shame goes on. In summation, Iran’s latest missile test are imperative as upgrading its missile defense program is by definition a historic achievement and deterrent. But it is also banning Americans from visiting Iran and replacing the dollar with other currencies which altogether will put Trump and other warmongers on notice. It will illuminate the new realities and possibilities on today’s political battlefield. The United States has lost the chance now to revise its century-old hostile policy towards Iran and try find common grounds for standing against common enemies. ISIL and other Al-Qaeda affiliates as well as their rich Saudi masters are posing a major threat to the United States' national security, and the country's national security advisor is pointing the finger at Iran. Such a blind and delusional foreign policy and national security doctrine is destined to fall and these are the poor American people who will receive the blow for such a historic blunder. The new US president should come to realize that growing hostilities towards Iran will wear off his chances for buying Russian cooperation that he would direly need when Saudi proxy forces of Al-Qaeda come back to strike at the United States once again." http://en.farsnews.com/newstext.aspx?nn=13951114000958 "The Fars News Agency (FNA) is a news agency in Iran.
