  2. Poll: 70 percent of Republicans don’t think the election was free and fair
  3. You're funny. trump supporters changing their minds and having an epiphany. NO I won't listen or follow conspiracy theories anymore! No I've concluded that trump is a habitual liar so I won't take what he says a gospel truth!!
  4. Come on Brent, you're smart. You know it won't change a single mind about anything. trump and his supporters will just say the courts are corrupt. trump has had 4-5 actions dismissed already subsequent to the vote and nobody has changed their minds. As long as trump is tweeting and his supporting cast is throwing out b.s. on the election system

Don't worry about Q channel blocking. Next month there will be a new conspiracy theory. Probably about how Covid vaccines have mind control genes in them. The genes that make democrats, Jews kidnap children and such. trump has often said that vaccines cause Autism. 20 Conspiracy Theories Trump Has Pushed Before and During His Presidency

    covid-19

All kidding aside. Thankfully the deep state within Pfizer waited until Biden was declared victor. Had they announced this a week prior to the election like the board wanted. trump may have spun it to victory.
  7. THE FACTS: AP Fact Check 2017 "Connecticut residents paid an average of $15,643 per person in federal taxes in 2015, according to a report by the Rockefeller Institute of Government. Massachusetts paid $13,582 per person, New Jersey paid $13,137 and New York paid $12,820. California residents paid an average of $10,510. At the other end, Mississippi residents paid an average of $5,740 per person, while West Virginia paid $6,349, Kentucky paid $6,626 and South Carolina paid $6,665. Low-tax red states also fare better when you take into account federal spending. Mississippi received $2.13 for every tax dollar the state sent to Washington in 2015, according to the Rockefeller study. West Virginia received $2.07, Kentucky got $1.90 and South Carolina got $1.71. Meanwhile, New Jersey received 74 cents in federal spending for tax every dollar the state sent to Washington. New York received 81 cents, Connecticut received 82 cents and Massachusetts received 83 cents. California fared a bit better than other blue states. It received 96 cents for every dollar the state sent to Washington. On average, states received $1.14 in federal spending for every tax dollar they sent to Washington. That’s why the federal government has a budget deficit." Thats your "socialism" as defined by the GOP in America.

Only 17% of Trump Supporters Don't Believe QAnon Conspiracy Theory: Poll

White, non-college educated voters as a percentage of the overall US population is shrinking at about 1.5% per year. So four years from now there will be six percent less of those naturally inclined to be GOP supporters. About two weeks ago I read a good story about how fact has so little sway with trump supporters. About how humor mixed with fact can often provide a breakthrough for minds closed to logic. So for those that missed SNL last night because of celebration or hangover, enjoy.
  10. Agree ;"Trump biographer Michael D’Antonio said Trump has been savvy about exploiting media opportunities throughout his life, whether it’s the New York tabloids or “The Apprentice.” “I think it’s inevitable that he has a media platform,” he said. “Now the opportunity to broadcast is available to almost anyone at almost no cost. I think people would watch Trump bloviate spontaneously from any outlet. That’s going to appeal to him immensely.” Above from a Politico story entitled Trump’s post-presidency: Stay relevant, make money, avoid indictment Shutting trump up will never be as easy as:
  11. Yes Yes. Anything that results in self glorification will keep trump active. It will also be a drag on the GOP until Neo-fascism is purged. Populist ideology is not easily cleansed. trump will always paint his loss as a stolen victory. Meanwhile in Russia president Putin has ordered all flags to be flown at half-mast. To recognize the darkest day of Russia since June 22, 1941. The politburo stood for a minute in silence in recognition of trump's service to the Motherland.

Only when more GOP political representatives die will the message get through, Herman Cain,David Andahl,Peter Secchia, etc. are just not enough. 240,000 ordinary Americans not enough.
  13. Well distrust of government in general and Covid could account for 5-10% Which would put the US the same as Canada, Voter turnout is the percentage of registered voters who cast a ballot in an election. The following presents voter turnout figures for Canada's general elections as compiled by Elections Canada. The average voter turnout for Canada's general elections since 1867 has been 70.5% The highest voter turnouts were in 1958, 1960, and 1963, when voter turnout was over 79%. The lowest voter turnout on record was in 2008, when voter turnout fell to only 58.8%. Voter turnout in the 2011 federal election, at 61.4%, was the third lowest in Canadian history. Voter turnout rose sharply in the 2015 federal election to 68.5%, the highest turnout since 1993. But if trump was a Canadian PM, I'd be voting in every polling station until the Mounties took me away to the big stone house.
  14. Keep in mind that defense of such actions are expensive. In addition for defendants like trump investigations can turn into very successful "fishing" expeditions. Perhaps a Go Fund Me campaign in favor of the NY AG office can start things. Then fines, settlements, etc. could keep the trump bleeding till 2-3 decades after he's dead. "The people who have known him the longest are not surprised in the least. “He sues,” said Barbara Res, the Trump Tower construction manager and a former executive vice president of the Trump Organization. “That’s his M.O. He sues.” “It’s just another tool in his war chest,” said Jack O’Donnell, the former president of the Trump Plaza casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey. “He uses it to wear people out, whether it’s financially or emotionally.” “He’s used litigation historically to keep hostile forces at bay and to delay reckonings,” Trump biographer Tim O’Brien said. “He’s also used it to try to embarrass competitors, critics or opponents. And I think by and large he’s done that successfully. He’s the poster child for the abuses and inefficiencies of the American court system.”
  15. When Barr forces prosecutors from office, there's fire. We don’t yet know what Mueller found, but here’s an overview of the president’s other legal jeopardy.
  16. I'm sure his job application will be forthcoming to the next GOP political hopeful.
  17. This will likely be the View of Biden Once again the likely view of Biden Like Joe has said in other posts the hammer should be taken to trump and I agree. In reality it will be the SDNY that pursues the fraud and corruption cases against trump and trump Enterprises. Wendy and Bob also have good points which I also agree with. The essence of which is to heal the divisions and move America forward. There have been segments of the democrat base that have been seriously radicalized by trumps actions and they will want prosecution. Which, again, is like to be left to the SDNY. However, extending the hand or reconciliation to the GOP has not worked to date. They have not shown any effort to moderate the ideas of McConnell.Thats the reason why allowing the current standing of congress should be addressed. The standing whereby they still haven't learnt the lesson of this election. The lessons of trump and want to continue courts stacking. Lincoln Project's Schmidt: Tucker Carlson could be 2024 GOP frontrunner. Is a story today for those that imagine a version of trump two is not waiting from the GOP. Furthermore the SC has already handed trump a victory in his fraud- voting scam: Supreme Court hands Trump a small victory in Pennsylvania’s vote count. You have to be cautious that fatigue-capitulation is not driving your decision making in the whole trump issue. That trump and the GOP haven't worn you down and you imagine an accommodation to the GOP will be met with future moderation. trump has learned through 74 years that bullying others into submission works.
  18. Speaking of lawyerly arguments: Graham: Senate may confirm Trump judges into 2021 "Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) on Friday opened the door to continuing to confirm President Trump’s judicial nominees in 2021, right up until when the next president, likely Joe Biden, is sworn in on Jan. 20."
  19. Now you sound like a Republican No offense intended. Mods please don't ban me. "Nearly eight-in-ten Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents (78%) now say rulings should be based on the Constitution’s meaning in current times, higher than at any previous point on record and up 9 percentage points from 2016 (69%). Just three-in-ten Republicans and Republican leaners now say the same, an 11-point increase from 2016 but little changed from GOP views in the years prior."
  20. “Representatives and direct Taxes shall be apportioned among the several States which may be included within this Union, according to their respective Numbers, which shall be determined by adding to the whole Number of free Persons, including those bound to Service for a Term of Years, and excluding Indians not taxed, three fifths of all other Persons. The actual Enumeration shall be made within three Years after the first Meeting of the Congress of the United States, and within every subsequent Term of ten Years, in such Manner as they shall by Law direct. The Number of Representatives shall not exceed one for every thirty Thousand, but each State shall have at Least one Representative…” Fair taxation aligned with fair representation are the fundamentals of democracy. When unequal representation is exploited partisanship will always be the result.
  21. One more reason why Biden needs senate control to move another constitutional amendment through. The Path to Give California 12 Senators, and Vermont Just One "In 1995, Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan declared, “Sometime in the next century the United States is going to have to address the question of apportionment in the Senate.” Perhaps that time has come. Today the voting power of a citizen in Wyoming, the smallest state in terms of population, is about 67 times that of a citizen in the largest state of California, and the disparities among the states are only increasing. The situation is untenable."
