  1. That sounds as if its something Brent or Airdvr would say. Shouldn't the punishment fit the crime?
  2. Because Ron wants order in the cities to collapse.Because the leftists are in the cities. Because a breakdown of society is what some dream of. They believe armageddon will bring back trump, the right, for some even "confederacy".
  3. Along your line of thinking there are the three other cops who did nothing. Who are still awaiting trial. Chauvin has no priors. But the 9.5 minutes wasn't a split second mistake like the taser/gun recent shooting. IMO it shows a certain callousness to life and his job. Certainly a mob mentality to vengeance against him needs to be shunned.
  4. Concurrent sentences are designed to address multiple charges arising from the same offense. It deals with the inequity whereby multiple guilty convictions would result in more time than murder. When the stacked convictions are of a substantially minor nature. Or closely linked offenses. Every prison system has ways of segregating prisoners. Be it gang members,"rats", child molesters or cops. I'd say 20-25 years concurrent on all convictions.
  5. I'll go with BIGUN on this one. Sorry Ken.
  6. Can you supply the source for that? I'm skeptical. What i would say for a fact about CCW holders is that if guns were only available to them. Primary because of background checks. US gun crimes would fall to the mean of the western world overnight.
  7. So why don't we legalize murder, rape and child molestation?

    covid-19

Since most GOP supporters have said they won't get vaccinated. Since trump loving GOP supporters may not be adults. Perhaps all American adults are already vaccinated?

  10. All the people that think you're just trolling miss your good accurate posts. How private equity squeezes cash from the dying U.S. coal industry As coal dies, the US has no plan to help the communities left behind Are We Witnessing the Death of Coal? President Donald Trump spent more than $1 billion in taxpayer funds, rolled back environmental rules and tried to stop power plant closings to fulfill a vow he made to West Virginia coal miners in the 2016 campaign. They went bankrupt anyway. Nobody pours good money after bad better than trump. Especially when its not his money.
  11. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert are lone votes against reauthorizing bill to help Leukemia patients Greene, who often makes outlandish claims to seek headlines, claimed that "Nothing in this bill prevents the funding of aborted fetal tissue by taxpayers." ...The program keeps an inventory of cord blood and a database of bone marrow donors for matches with patients diagnosed with leukemia and other fatal blood diseases and is not related to the fetal tissue argument raised by Greene or the argument raised by Boebert. .... the National Marrow Donor Program said in a statement, "National Marrow Program (NMDP)/Be The Match does not use fetal tissue/embryonic stem cells for transplant or research. For more than 30 years, NMDP/Be The Match has helped facilitate more than 105,000 transplants for patients battling blood cancers and blood diseases. We only use cells voluntarily donated by either an adult donor, or cells collected from the umbilical cord, which occurs only after a full-term delivery where both mother and baby are healthy and safe."
  12. See its a good thing that liberals are not pro gun, pro carry. Because they would be in a checkout line carrying their cocked and locked 1911s. All maintaining a Brazil variant appropriate 20 foot distance. Then the personal freedom loving, non-vaxxer, conservative, covid carrying hillbilly, would start coughing and hacking right next to them. It would all have a tragic outcome as the liberals in line would all open fire all at the same time.
  13. Well I didn't know that. What i do know is that i can go to the NOAA website and the headlines are all the same.I know i can trust NOAA. I understand how the Facebook algorithms feed an individuals desires for misinformation. That watching FOX can damage human brains after only 24 hours of immersion. That 40 years ago at Easter there was always 10 inches of snow on the ground sometimes 30 inches. Now the odd tree is just starting to bud out. That a decade ago I'd never seen a mole. Now they and other pests/viruses like West Nile are here. With the interwebs. I've also learned of "flat-earthers" Q-Anoners, etc. existence.
  14. Quick on the uptake. Slower on the uptake. Slowest on the uptake. Be it guns, politics, economics, climate, etc. Brent has puzzled his teachers since kindergarten.
  15. No idea. I know farm labor is exploited somewhat. Not horribly because they have to be brought into Canada every year and they don't want to stay for the winters. There are allot of Filipino nurses. They would get standard union rates. Nurses aides, also standard union rates.
  16. "Effective May 6, 2021, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) will begin accepting applications under the following 3 streams: 20,000 applications for temporary workers in health care 30,000 applications for temporary workers in other selected essential occupations 40,000 applications for international students who graduated from a Canadian institution The streams will remain open until November 5, 2021, or until they have reached their limit. Up to 90,000 new permanent residents will be admitted under these 3 streams." Typically Canadian. Take 1/2 of immigrants that are needy and poor. The other 1/2 college degrees or better. So cherry pick the best from other countries that are just starting their most productive years. Leaving those countries without educated people to lead economic development in their native countries. "Canada is already on track to achieve its ambitious 401,000 immigration target this year"
  17. "Former Vice President Joe Biden released two new immigration-focused policy plans on Wednesday(of this week).... The two plans include a first 100 days component in which Biden will undo what senior campaign advisers describe as “horrific” and “cruel and senseless” policies enacted by President Trump like the separation of parents and children at the border. He would also end for-profit detention centers. The immigration plan promises to reform the asylum system, surge humanitarian resources to the border, end Trump’s Muslim ban and review Temporary Protected Status for those who have fled a violent country. It would also end the Trump-declared “national emergency” being used to redirect federal dollars to build the border wall. Biden also pledges to reinstate the DACA program, which would immediately protect and expand opportunities for DREAMers — or adults who migrated to the U.S. as young children. He will also search for “all legal options” to protect their parents, a move activists have previously blamed him and Obama for initially causing family separation. Last week on the campaign trail, Biden said he would look to revive the DAPA program even though it was struck down by the court. However, it would require legislation to pave a pathway to citizenship for the 11 million undocumented people living in the United States."
  18. Well Wayne LaPierre would send some prayers but he's kinda busy now. NRA Board Member Demanding Probe of Wayne LaPierre Testifies That Bankruptcy Petition Blindsided Him "The NRA’s Chapter 11 petition suggested that the decision was made in consultation with the board during a Jan. 7 meeting this year, but Journey claimed that this assertion was a fraud upon the court, as the judge claims that he and other board members were not informed about that decision."
  19. When a lawyer scrapes the bottom of the barrel sometimes a few roaches are the result.
  20. He should fit right in. "In 2021, after Trump lost re-election, the Heritage Foundation hired Chad Wolf, Ken Cuccinelli and Mark Morgan, all three of whom played a prominent role in the immigration policies of the Trump administration.[46] It also hired former Vice President Mike Pence.[47] Shortly thereafter, Pence published an op-ed on a Heritage Foundation website which made false claims of fraud in the 2020 election, as well as numerous false claims about For the People Act, a Democratic bill to expand voting rights.[48]".... The Heritage Foundation rejects the scientific consensus on climate change.[68][69] The Heritage Foundation is one of many climate change denial organizations that have been funded by ExxonMobil.... The Heritage Foundation has promoted false claims of voter fraud. Hans von Spakovsky who heads the Election Law Reform Initiative at the Heritage Foundation has played an influential role in making alarmism about voter fraud mainstream in the Republican Party, despite no evidence of widespread voter fraud.[73][74] His work, which claims voting fraud is rampant, has been discredited.[75]" A $75 million a year self serving group that could be properly described as a FOX news editing room.
  21. Its ok Brent. I know the inclinations to distract, to invent memes to avoid facts are strong, even ingrained.
  22. So your point is CNN reported, accurately, the number of dead too much. Because they wanted to increase ratings. As compared to trump who downplayed the pandemic so Americans wouldn't be scared. During a pandemic. Is that your point? Because now 2/3 of American democrats have been vaccinated v. 1/3 of republicans and 35% of republicans don't want a vaccination. During a pandemic.

    covid-19

Sounds right if Pfizer and Moderna both suggest a 95% efficacy. Then J&J and AstraZeneca having a lessor 80% or so effectiveness. Social distancing, masks, vaccinations, etc. will all be required to snuff covid out in a local population.
